Chapter 34: Epilogue to Prologue

Book I - Accidentally in Love (FayeYoko)Words: 6108

As Faye and Yoko settled into their new life together, the world seemed to glow around them. The love they shared, a journey that had started in such an unexpected way, had finally brought them to the place they were always meant to be. Yet, as the pages of their story turned, one chapter remained unfinished—one that would soon demand to be written.

Namtan sat in the quiet corner of the villa, her coffee growing cold as she stared at the photograph on her phone. It was a candid shot of Faye, radiant and happy on her wedding day. But beneath the smile, beneath the joy, Namtan couldn't shake the weight of the question that had lingered in her heart —Why wasn't I there?

It wasn't that Namtan didn't care—she did, deeply. But ever since Faye announced her wedding, the world seemed consumed by it. People were either ecstatic or bitter, and the buzz around the event only made things more complicated.

She remembered the moment her phone buzzed while she was in her hotel room in New York. It was a message from her assistant, who had gone to a nearby coffee shop. They were preparing for a late-night work session to finish a project before flying back to Thailand for Faye's wedding. The words were simple, but they sent a chill down Namtan's spine:

"Hey, Boss, you won't believe who I just saw at the café. At first, I wasn't sure it was her—she was wearing a mask and sunglasses. But I happened to be waiting near their table, and when I overheard Film joking that she might show up at CEO Faye's wedding to stop it, I knew it was really her. Can you imagine?"

Namtan froze. Film. The one person who had always slipped in and out of Faye's life like a shadow, never truly gone, even when Namtan thought they had buried the past. That name alone sent a jolt of panic through her chest. The idea of Film interfering with Faye's happiness twisted a knot in her stomach.

Film was unpredictable, reckless, and impulsive. The notion that she might actually go to Thailand to sabotage Faye's wedding—something so absurd yet entirely within the realm of possibility—set Namtan into motion.

Without a second thought, she grabbed her coat and rushed out of the hotel, dialing a number as she did. The plan took shape quickly, born out of panic and a sense of urgency she hadn't anticipated. She would stop Film. No one, not even someone like Film, would ruin Faye's happiness again.

Namtan's mind raced. She had to move fast. She needed to confirm if Film was really planning to go to Thailand. If she was, Namtan wouldn't let her get there. She would do whatever it took—she would kidnap her, if necessary. The thought shocked her, but the desperation was stronger. She couldn't let Film destroy the one thing that had finally brought Faye peace and happiness.

As the night grew darker, Namtan prepared herself. She didn't know what she was becoming in this desperate quest to protect Faye, but one thing was clear: no matter what she had to do, she would be the one to keep Faye's love safe.

She followed Film's car, having confirmed that her flight to Thailand had been scheduled for the day before Faye's wedding. With the bodyguards she had hired, they executed a well-planned maneuver, strategically cutting off Film's car and leaving her stunned. Fortunately, Film was driving alone, making it easy to reach her. Namtan quickly took control of the situation, her bodyguard forcing Film into unconsciousness after a fierce struggle, even with a gun pointed at her. They then drove Film to the private jet, which took them back to the Philippines.

Now, she sat alone in the villa, with Film still unconscious in the next room. A deep sense of guilt weighed on her, especially since she knew the girl must be starving by now, having been out for so long. Namtan had even called a doctor to make sure Film was okay, and after the doctor confirmed she was fine, Namtan left her in the room to rest. As she watched the live streams of Faye's wedding, the joy and excitement of the event unfolding before her eyes, tears welled up. She whispered softly, "I'd do anything to see that joy in Faye's eyes. I owe her that much."

Book II: Between Love and Loyalty – Namtan and Film

At first, Namtan saw Film as nothing more than a threat to the peace and happiness of Faye and Yoko. But as she spent more time with Film, she began to realize that beneath the layers of bitterness and anger, there was a woman just as lost and vulnerable as herself. To her surprise, Namtan found herself drawn to Film in a way she had never anticipated. It was a connection she couldn't ignore—a magnetic pull that defied all logic and everything Namtan thought she knew about herself.

As the boundaries between loyalty and love began to blur, Namtan was forced to confront her feelings for Film, along with the overwhelming guilt that accompanied them. Could she truly protect Faye while battling the growing attraction she felt for the woman who had once shattered her heart? And could Film ever move on from the past, or would her unresolved feelings for Faye destroy any possibility of happiness with Namtan?

Caught between the loyalty she owed to Faye and the undeniable bond blossoming between them, Namtan and Film found themselves on opposing sides of a conflict neither had ever imagined. The line between lovers and enemy had never been so thin, and the stakes had never been higher.

Soon.
