Chapter 10
Xavier's P.O.V
"Xavier I'm pregnant!" was all I heard and that was all it took for my world to come crashing down. 'WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!' my wolf Tyler yelled at me. What have I done?
I can't be a father, especially to Maya's child. 'Too bad you did the crime, and now I'm doing the time jerk!" Tyler snapped. NO! I don't want this! Oh God CHLOE!
I took the phone off Daniel and screamed desperately. "CHLOE! CHLOE! Are you there?" I asked hopingly. Please say she hung up the phone.
"I HATE YOU!" was all I heard in response as she violently hung up in my face. NOOOOOOOO! What have I done? When she said those three words with the tone she used it cut me real deep inside. Now I know how she must've felt when I rejected her over and over again.
I looked around the room and everyone besides Maya and Daniel glared at me, most probably imagining different ways they could kill me. Maya spoke up. "Baby aren't you happy! You're going to be a father!" she squealed as she ran and hugged me. I hesitated before I hugged her back.
"When did you find out?" I asked in case it's just a false alarm.
"Right after you left. I was walking around the house when I bumped into my mate uh I mean when I bumped into Mattie, yeah when I bumped into Mattie" She corrected herself. "He said he could hear two heart beats and I told him it must be mine and his. But then he told me to be quiet as he listened attentively and moved closer to my stomach when he finally snapped his head up and said that I was with child. I decided to call the pack doctor and she said I was pregnant!" she shouted the last part with glee.
I tried listening carefully, but I couldn't hear anything. "Are you sure, I can't hear any heartbeats?" I said moving closer to her stomach.
Maya looked as if she was hesitating before she answered. "That's because uh I'm still early in the pregnancy." She said sounding like she's assuring herself rather than me.
"Then how did Mathew (Mattie) hear?" I asked curiously and suspiciously.
Maya started looking around the room and started to fidget with her shirt. "Uhh umm" She said looking at the ground. Corey began stomping his foot on the ground impatiently. "Xavier please, I'm tired from all the walking I've done, can we please go home?" she begged trying to give me the puppy dog eyes. 'Liar!' my wolf yelled.
"Fine" I said as I took her hand and lead her towards the door.
"Maya why don't you go, I need to have a little talk with Xavier." Chloe's father said a little too scary.
Oh crap!
Paea's P.O.V
This little man whore! He's going to be the worst alpha. First off he rejects his mate, the one thing that will keep him sane. Second he's going to be a bloody FATHER to a baby that's definitely not his mate! Although Maya looks a little uncertain now. If Xavier was the father, he would've been able to sense the baby but he didn't, Matthew did. I'm going to get down to the bottom of this.
I told Xavier to stay behind and he did. I walked towards him but he shielded his face begging me not to. "Well you learn pretty fast don't you?" I said with a grin as I stood in front of him.
"Please Mr Maka I beg you not again, I know what I just did was wrong, by impregnating Maya. I didn't know that she would get pregnant straight after I mated her." When he said this I was ready to slap him out, but I remembered I already did. Wait did she just say they fully mated last night?
"When did you mate her?" I asked with disgust.
I saw him take a big gulp. "Last night." He said nervously. LAST NIGHT! WHEN CHLOE RAN AWAY, THIS BASTARD! 'That doesn't matter' my wolf Sonny shouted over me. 'If they mated last night that means Xavier can't be the father, since his wolf is also an alpha. His wolf won't want to reproduce which either means that high pitched girl is lying or she is carrying someone else's pup.' That's it! Xavier is not the father.
I went and patted his back. "You know you were so stupid to reject Chloe." He nodded. "But you know what would make you even more stupid?" he shook his head no. "if you don't learn your history." I told him shaking him a bit.
"I don't understand Paea." Obviously since your stupid father didn't bother teaching you about your wolf and the mating process.
I looked outside the window and saw Maya walking back and forward scratching her head. This little conniving dog knows what's about to happen. "You should get back to your impregnated mate, looks like she's pissed off." I said as he just nodded and frowned and started to walk back outside. "Oh and Xavier!" I shouted. He stopped and looked back. "Let's just say trusting your instincts might just save you." He looked at me weirdly but continued to walk. I stopped him one last time. 'And Xavier" he stopped where he was at. "Karma's a bitch!" This boy seriously doesn't know what Pack he involved into this whole situation. He gulped and quickly ran out the door.
Katherine's P.O.V
What does my husband know? Instincts might just save you? What is he talking about?
'What on earth are you on about Paea?' I asked him through our mate bond.
'In due time you will see kitty Kat' yes his nickname for me is kitty Kat, I find it extremely cute .
'ARE YOU HIDING SOMETHING FROM ME PAEA!" I asked shocked. This should do the trick.
'No, I'm not, it's just that Maya might be lying about the pregnancy. I don't want to tell anyone in case I'm wrong and she really is.' He said back.
'you didn't have to tell me, I was just playing you." I said as I grinned at his shocked face.
'Oh you're going to get it now!' he replied as he got to his feet and picked me up ignoring Daniel and Corey's shouts of protests.
Corey's P.O.V
I should be angry at Xavier for getting someone other than my sister pregnant. That sounds wrong and displeasing but it's the truth. If he should impregnate someone it should be my twin. Ok that sounds worse.
The funny thing is that I'm not angry, my wolf isn't even mad, even though my twin is somewhere out there with my uncle and cousin I've never known about crying her eyes out, I'm not mad. I feel mutual. 'Don't worry, you're lucky you have me as a wolf, I'm smarter than an average wolf and in this case, Xavier's wolf.' My wolf told me. 'What the hell do you mean?' I asked him.
'In due time you will understand.' Man my wolf is dramatic.
Daniel's P.O.V
Why did Chloe have to go? I miss her so much!
My wolf thinks it has something to do with Xavier. 'I don't think I know' my wolf David said.
'Why? Because he got the girl pregnant? I don't understand.' I said confused. She didn't really get the bad pack to beat his sister Elena.
'Daniel, don't worry when you're older you will understand.' David replied.
I just sighed. 'and stronger so I can beat everyone who hurts Chloe.' My wolf just laughed which sounded weird. Wolves don't suite laughing.
Crystal's P.O.V
Why is everyone saying Maya's pregnant? Xavier can't be this stupid to get her pregnant as well!
Maya and Xavier walked past me and boy the tension in the air was so thick. I watched them as they walked down the hallway and split apart at the end with Xavier turning left and Maya turning right.
I decided to follow Maya. Something smells fishy about this whole predicament and it's not just her slutty self. I may be an omega but I see everything that happens around this house, and when I say everything, I MEAN everything! I've seen many displeasing sights and unfortunately mostly all of them involve Maya.
She's a faithful mate pshtt my ass is more faithful than her. I followed her up to the second level where most of the pack lived. I lived in the attic since I'm the lowest rank but hey the attics huge.
Maya stood in front of a door and started to knock quietly. The way she was knocking you might as well not. Seriously she's wasting her time. Whose door is it anyway?
She kept knocking, well if it's even considered knocking. I was surprised when a guy about the same age as Xavier opened it. He was tall with brown curly hair and green eyes. He was kind of cute.
Maya started to whisper angrily. I couldn't catch anything but I did manage to catch a few words. All I managed to hear was baby, yours and ruined. The guy looked around and I managed to hide before he could see me. I looked back and he dragged Maya into his room. I ran and pressed my ear against the door. I heard some movement and then finally I heard voices.
"You know I have to stick to plan Mattie!" Maya said.
"I know but for how long? I can't take it, you know I can feel everything you do. Last night nearly killed me. How long do we have to stick to the plan?" Mattie? I presumed it was.
"Just until the baby comes. Which is probably 6 months."
"6 MONTHS! I can't wait that long! You said it would be quick!" Mattie yelled as he probably smashed something against a wall. I would've walked in and protected Maya but she's not Xavier's real mate and I'm loyal to Chloe.
"Baby calm down, everything will be alright in the end, we just got to be patient." Maya said. I heard footsteps but they weren't getting closer to the door they were moving away from the door. I leaned closer to the door if that was even possible. I heard muffled movements and then a moan? What! She can't be making out with him when she's pregnant with Xavier's baby.
"Mmmmh Mattie, you make me feel so good!" Maya moaned. What the actual flip?!
"Way better than Xavier can babe. The baby is gonna have the best dad in the world." Mattie said.
WHAT IS GOING ON!?
"You know eavesdropping is rude." An amused voice said. I quickly turned around to come face to face with Luke. aren't I just lucky!
"You know backstabbing your best friend is not only rude it's pathetic and it disgusts me!" I snapped back. He flinched. Serves him right.
"Look ok, I didn't mean to, Chloe's still my best friend and I'll do anything for her to forgive Me." he said.
"Yeah, well you might want to live forever, cause that's probably how long it will take her to forgive you. How can you say you like seeing her upset? What kind of friend are you?" he was about to answer but I put my hand up and stopped him.
Before I could speak someone else interrupted, "Your position is already taken Luke, she doesn't need you." I turned to face where the voice was coming from. It was Corey. What was he doing here?
"Yeah by her!" Luke growled pointing towards me with a glare. I returned the look.
"No." Corey said. Luke and I both looked at him. WHAT! By who then?
"NO? then who?" Luke asked.
"Chase." Was all Corey said.
"Who the hell is Chase?" Luke yelled.
"Obviously someone better than you!" Corey yelled as he walked off. Luke got pissed off and stormed off muttering things.
I went back to the door and listened.
"Mattie, no one can find out about this, yet. Baby don't worry I will always love you, only you." What the hell is this brat up to?
Chloe's P.O.V
"Ughh why do I even care, I left him!" I screamed out, not giving a damn that the pack members are looking at me weirdly. I haven't officially been introduced but they think of me as a guest so they don't glare at me or anything.
"Because he's your mate stupid!" Corona said as she stuffed her face with pancakes.
"Please mind my sister, she can really be intimidating when she's hungry." Chase told me. I just laughed, Corey is like that sometimes.
"No, it's cool. I like people who are straight up. Its better they say it to my face instead of going behind my back." I said as I ate a piece of pancake that was soaked in a lot of syrup.
"That my friend was deep." Corona said while chewing her food.
I laughed and nearly choked on my food if it wasn't for the person who patted me on the back.
I turned around to thank who it was. As I turned around I was met with dark brown eyes, dark brown hair that's spiked up, a sharp jawline, hot cheekbones, tan face and a muscular body. Damn I have died and gone to heaven.
Wait a minute I know this guy!
"Hey! Aren't you the guy from-"
"From the party, yes, yes I am. My names Adam, nice to meet you........................ again!" He said as his eyes sparkled.
I think I'm going to like it here!
