Chapter 15:
"SHE'S YOUR'S? YOU LOST THE RIGHT TO CALL HER THAT SIX MONTHS AGO WHEN YOU REJECTED HER!" Adam yelled walking towards him too. This caught Xavier off guard and he stopped walking and looked at me.
"She's still my mate!" Xavier said quietly as he looked at me. I could feel my wolf cry out for her mate. Ughh not again!
"You rejected her and she moved on, just like you have, you're going to be a daddy soon!" Corona said irritated.
"Exactly Xavier, you're going to be the father of my child, our child." Maya said moving to his side while rubbing her swollen belly. I looked at her stomach and nearly cried until I reminded myself I don't care and I'm with Adam, even though it's a fake relationship. "You need to get over her and focus on your child." Maya said placing Xavier's hand on her belly.
Just then Crystal came outside and scoffed. "Yeah focus on your 'Child' Xavier, it's not like it's someone else's." She said using her fingers as apostrophes when she said child. When she saw me she ran up and hugged me. "I missed you Chloe!" she said. I hugged her back and told her I missed her too.
"What do you mean 'it's not like it's someone else's'?" Corey asked.
She looked at all of us like we were stupid. "Oh come on, like you can believe a girl like Maya would stay faithful to someone who isn't her mate!" Crystal said shocked. We all just kept quiet, Xavier is the father. "Just look at what she's wearing. What pregnant lady wears that?" she said looking at Maya with disgust. You can't blame her. Maya's wearing four inch jimmy choo shoes, a mini pink skirt and a really tight black shirt that reveals too much cleavage and doesn't do a great job of covering her pregnant stomach.
"How dare you!" Maya screamed. "You're just jealous that I'm an alpha's mate and you're a pathetic omega." She yelled to which Crystal scoffed.
"Puhleeze, how can I be jealous when you're not even Xavier's real mate?" she questioned. Maya kept quiet. "You know who could help answer the question Maya?" Crystal asked Innocnently. Maya glared at her and Crystal continued. "Matthew could help." Crystal said battling her eyelashes. Is Matthew Crystal's mate? I looked over at Maya who was growling like a man. "Oh that's right you address him as Mattie, don't you?" Crystal said hitting her head.
"You little bitch!" Maya growled out.
This however didn't affect Crystal; this actually encouraged her to keep going. "His such a lovely guy ain't he, really sweet and caring, knows how to treat a girl." Crystal kept going on and on about Matthew, maybe that is her mate. I looked over at Maya, and it looked like she was about to shift. That's bad! She can't shift when she's pregnant, or she'll kill the baby.
"Crystal stop!" I shouted and my alpha tone worked, even though she's not in my pack.
She looked at me weirdly. "Why?" she asked confused.
"Because you're aggravating her to the point where she's going to shift." I said pointing at a shaking Maya. "And if she shifts, she'll kill the baby."
"A baby that should've been yours!" Rose added.
Everyone looked at me. I just shook my head. "It doesn't matter, it's still a baby and it deserves to live." I said and they all just thought about what I said and nodded. Maya however kept growling and glaring at Crystal.
"Can someone calm her down; it's kind of freaky seeing a pregnant lady growling." Rose said hiding behind Peter.
"Blondie, calm your baby momma down." Corona said amused at this situation. Chase elbowed her again and she just rolled her eyes.
"It won't work, only Matthew can calm her down now." Crystal said. I glared at Crystal and she held her hands up.
We all looked at Xavier and he just sighed but held Maya's hand. "Baby, calm down, everything's alright." When he said that it kind of stung, but not as much as it used to. I guess when Crystal said our bond would still be there, she wasn't lying. Maya didn't even notice Xavier was talking to her. Her eyes were pitch black, which meant she was extremely pissed off. But why? It's not like Crystal said anything offensive. "Maya, calm down." Xavier said but Maya didn't calm down at all, it seemed like she was getting even angrier.
"I told you, only Matthew can calm her down!" Crystal shouted. Luke shoved her out of the way and I growled at Luke. Crystal glared at Luke. "Elena why don't you be useful for once and get Matthew." Crystal said in a cold tone.
Elena scoffed at her and pushed herself off the wall she was leaning on. "Don't tell me what to do omega." Elena said walking towards Crystal. "Or do I need to teach you your place?" Elena asked walking closer to Crystal.
"What are you going to do? Fake another attack and blame it on me this time?" Crystal said.
"I didn't fake anything! Your friend's a jealous traitor!" Elena screamed out.
While they were fighting Maya was five seconds away from shifting. I can't let that baby die. Fighting isn't helping and Xavier is definitely not helping. Looks like I have to take matters into my own hand. "ENOUGH!" I yelled and everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at me. Xavier looked at me with pride and love. I glared at him and looked at Maya who's shaking was reducing. "MAYA FOR GOODNES SAKE! CALM DOWN ALREADY! I don't know why you're so angry!" I screamed and Maya immediately stopped shaking and looked at me amazed. Hah! You should be bitch.
"How were you able to that?" Luke asked. I just looked at him with a blank expression and he sighed.
I mind linked Scott to continue. "Well" Scott said breaking the tension. "The rest of my pack is in the buses, so when you're ready we'll be ready too." Scott said professionally. Xavier nodded and turned around to lead us inside. When he turned around everyone made funny faces at him and I had to wack all of them to stop.
When everyone was a few metres in front I stopped. "Hey Scott?" I said and everyone stopped and turned around. Scott walked towards me and nodded. Before I spoke Xavier came and stood right next to Scott. I made sure not to make eye contact with him. "Since I already know my way around the pack house can I go to my house and say hi?" I asked.
"No! you have to stay!" Xavier said before Scott could answer.
"Oh I'm sorry Xavier, I wasn't aware I was talking to you." I snapped back. He kept quiet but you could tell he was pissed off. I looked back at Scott who was silently laughing. "Well?" I said loudly to stop Scott from laughing.
"Oh, right." Scott said looking at me. "I was hoping to go with you to meet your family." Scott said hopingly and there was a chorus of 'Yeahs' from the rest of my group
"Ughh fine!" I sighed. "Let's just get this tour over and done with so we can go meet my family." I said continuing to walk. Everyone just laughed but continued to walk. Adam walked up to me and slung his hand over my shoulder. I heard a growl from Xavier but ignored it and rested my head on Adam's shoulder. Xavier stormed past us and led the group to the third level, where we would be staying.
I saw Corey and asked Adam if I could go. He nodded and kissed my cheek. I smiled at him and kissed his cheek, another growl erupted from Xavier and I just looked at him and he was glaring at Adam.
"Hey twin!" I sang as I ran and jumped on Corey's back. He started to laugh and I just realised how much I missed his over-protective self. I held on to him tighter. "I missed you so much!" I screamed in his ears.
He laughed and ran to the front of the line ignoring my warnings to slow down. "I missed you to baby sis!" he said putting me down and giving me a proper hug. "You better tell your boyfriend to watch out!" he said and just like that I take back what I said about missing his protectiveness. I rolled my eyes at him and he just pinched my cheeks. "If you don't I will." He said as he patted my cheeks.
"Whatever Puaka(pig)!" I yelled as I ran away from him. he was chasing me but I was way faster than him.
"Kuli(dog)!" he shouted back and I just laughed out loud as I continued to run. I looked behind me and he was no less than 5 metres behind me. crap!, he's fast.......oh wait he's my twin, of course he's fast. I turned so many corners running away from my pack as well. I looked behind me again and Corey was close and he was smirking mischievously at me. I pushed myself a little faster and I as looked forward I didn't realise someone was in front of me and so I accidently tackled them to the ground.
Sparks erupted and I realised who it was straight away. I looked up at his face and he was smirking at me and if I said I wanted to smack it right off of his face I'd be lying. He looked hot! I realised the position we were in and blushed. I was lying on top of him, my legs were straddling his waist and my face was directly on top of his. Only 15cm of thin air was between our faces. He playfully growled and smiled at me. oh my goodness! I can't let him affect me; I thought I was over him!
We just stared at each other, his eyes were captivating, they had me in a trance, I couldn't tear my eyes away from him. All this time we were staring at each other I didn't realise I was leaning towards him until Corey pulled me off of him. "WHAT THE HELL?" Corey yelled shocked, he pulled Xavier up and pushed him against the wall, using his elbow to trap Xavier against the wall.
Xavier tried to push Corey off, but Corey was simply stronger, since he is an alpha too. "Let go Corey!" Xavier yelled struggling to get out of Corey's grasp. Corey didn't listen and only made his grip on Xavier harder. "COREY LET GO NOW! THAT IS AN ORDER!" Xavier yelled using his alpha tone. Is he stupid? Corey and I are alpha's too. Ordering Corey around will just make it worse. Corey's eyes changed to black and he lifted Xavier off the ground by his throat.
"This is for slapping my sister." He lifted him higher. "This is for all the tears she has shed for your sorry ass!"" he slammed him back on the floor and punched his face. "But most importantly this is for rejecting her!" He punched Xavier one more time.
By now Scott and Chase were by my side amazed at how strong my brother is. Scott was cheering my brother on and I just rolled my eyes. Chase was telling me to go stop the fight before something bad happens. I looked back over at my brother and Xavier. Xavier somehow managed to push Corey off and punch him right on his jaw. Corey snapped his face back at Xavier and growled. Oh no he's pissed off beyond limits. This is not good! I ran forward and caught his fists before it connected with Xavier's face.
"Corey that's enough." I said pleading him. He unclenched his fists and exhaled deeply. I let go of his hand and he dusted himself off and began to walk off.
"Yeah keep walking Maka!" Xavier shouted over my shoulder. Corey ignored him and kept walking to most probably cool off. "You think your almighty just cause you're an alpha as well?" he rhetorically asked and Scott and chase just scoffed at Xavier's childish behaviour. Corey just flipped him off and kept walking till he reached the door and walked out. "That's what I thought, you're just a try hard Corey, keep walking!" Xavier yelled.
I didn't even look to see if Corey heard because as soon as those words left Xavier's mouth I turned around and slapped him.
"Don't EVER talk like that about my brother again!" I screamed in his face and walked off. Not long after that Luke and Elena rushed in. They were probably having another make out session and heard the commotion and bolted it here.
I glared at her and she just snorted. I walked past her and shoved her. "Is that all you got you jealous traitor." She asked with a little too much attitude for my liking. Xavier and Luke both growled and I ignored them. I looked towards Scott and Chase and they looked like they have been waiting for this moment to come. I gave them a weird look but returned my attention to the lying mutt in front of me.
"Elena for the last time, I. DID. NOT. GET. THE. THETA. NU. THETA. PACK. TO. ATTACK. YOU!" I said through gritted teeth.
She just smirked and patted my shoulder. "Of course you did Chloe." She said innocently. "My brother was also a witness to you telling me to go to the theta nu theta pack for a truce." She said pointing over to Xavier who had a nervous expression on his face. I looked at him and he gulped.
Before I could question him Scott stepped forward with a smile on his face. "What was the pack called again Xavier?" he asked amusingly. I looked at him and Chase weirdly but they just shook their heads no. Xavier hesitated for a while. "I'm sorry I didn't hear you over all that silence." Scott said even more amused.
Xavier took a gulp but didn't answer. Elena probably got irritated and impatient as she said the name of the pack. "Well I'm sorry if you can't hear properly, but I said the packs name is Theta nu Theta, not that it has anything to do with you!" she said poking Scott's chest. Xavier looked as if his seen a ghost, his face was pale and he was breathing pattern was irregular.
Chase stepped forward and held his hand to his chin like he was in deep thought. "So what exactly did the Theta nu Theta pack do to you?" Chase asked stroking his chin.
Elena rolled her eyes but explained everything that 'supposedly' happened to her because of me. That I got the future alpha of the Theta nu Theta pack to attack her when she stepped foot on their land. By the end of her story both Chase and Scott were looking at her like they knew something we all didn't know. I looked at them but Chase just shook his head again.
"And your brother witnessed Chloe saying this to you?" Chase asked.
"For the last time yes! He did." Elena screamed.
Scott looked over at Xavier who was stuck to his spot. "Is this true Xavier?" Scott questioned. Xavier looked at me for a while and then shamefully nodded his head. I looked at him, anger searing through me. Why do they lie!
Before I could protest Corona walked in. "You know that's a funny story." She said walking towards me but not before shoving Elena out of the way.
"Why's that?" Elena asked holding on to her shoulder after that violent encounter with Corona.
"Because both of you are positive that the Theta nu Theta pack did that to you." Corona said looking directly at Elena.
"Well, that's what happened." Elena said in a duh tone.
"What about you?" Corona said glaring towards Xavier.
"Look here you wannabe tough chick. When I say this I speak for my brother too. THE THETA NU THETA NEARLLY KILLED ME BECAUSE OF THAT JEALOUS BITCH YOU CALL A FRIEND!" she screamed.
Scott, chase and Corona scoffed while Luke and Xavier growled. "What's with all the laughing? She's accusing me of things I didn't do and you're just standing there laughing! Last time I checked being accused isn't a laughing matter!" I yelled irritated.
"Your right Chloe, being accused isn't a laughing matter." Scott said. I feel like there's a but coming. "But." I knew it. "Lying and getting caught is." Scott said looking at Xavier.
"What are you on about?" I asked pinching the bridge of my nose.
"Well, your mate-" Scott said the word mate with so much disgust, "and he's little sister over here turned the whole pack against you because the alpha of the theta nu theta pack attacked her." He said pointing at Elena, and I just nodded. "But that never happened and I'm certain of that."
"And how would you know?" Elena growled impatiently.
"Because I'm the alpha of the theta nu theta pack and I most certainly did not attack you." Scott said with a victorious tone.
