Chapter 17:
Chloe's P.O.V
Everyone but Corona had to go back to the pack house for the sake of our pack. Scott only allowed Corona and I to stay and sleep at my house for tonight. I thought I'd be able to stay and catch up with my family, but no I had to attend all pack meetings, and what made it worse, was that there is one today. Isn't that just great! I get to see Xavier. If he thinks I'll let this go, he better think twice. How dare he plan this whole thing, make my life a living hell and reject me. Oh and his sister better watch out!
"Chloe if you don't get up now, we're going to be late to the pack meeting!" I heard Corey scream. Oh just like old times. For once I wasn't angry that someone woke me up.
I lay on my bed smiling until a pillow came flying into my face. "SHUT UP!" an angry Corona groaned. I threw the pillow back at her and checked the time. It was 5am. I smiled even wider as I remembered every morning Corey woke me up. I haven't woken up at 5 ever since I left. Being woken up by Corey was a great way to start my day, I can't say the same for Corona but it was for me.
I got out of bed and did all of my old morning routines, having a shower and brushing my teeth which usually took me a while. I got out of the shower and walked to my closet. Corona was spread out on my bed asleep. Her head was dangling off of my bed and her body was messily wrapped up in her blanket.
I decided to wear light blue skin tight jeans with a grey flowy singlet and a black leather jacket. I decided to wear black flat boots that came up to mid shin. I tucked my jeans into them. I curled my hair and applied make up. Today is the first day in two years my old pack will see me, well literally it's the second day but most of them don't know I have returned. Today Elena will get what she deserves, it may not be physically, but hey revenge doesn't always have to be physical, there's other ways to get someone back. Xavier WILL regret rejecting me and pay for messing up my life.
I checked the time and it was 7:30am. I looked back over at Corona and boy is she a messy sleeper. Half her body was dangling off of the bed and the blanket was completely off of her. Instead of waking her up, I ran downstairs and was greeted by my mum and dad making breakfast. I sat on one of the chairs and smiled at both of them. They both smiled back at me and my dad just came and hugged me. "It's so good to have you back Chloe. My prayers have been answered!" he exclaimed happily.
I just laughed at him and kissed his cheek. "It's so good to be back! Now I know why people use the expression 'home sweet home'! " I said walking up to my mum and hugging her.
Soon Daniel and Stiles walked in. "CHLOE!" they both screamed running up to me. I opened my arms for them and each of them hugged a side of me.
"Good morning boys." I said kissing each of them on the forehead.
"Just like old times." My mum and dad said as my dad hugged my mum from behind.
"That reminds me!" I shouted. "Where's Corey? I forgot to push him out of the way coming down the stairs." I said shocked. How could I forget to push him down the stairs? I've only been doing that since I was able to walk!
Everyone seemed to be agreeing with me and began to think. "Hmm he must still be in his room, he never sleeps in." my mum said.
"I'll be back." I shouted as I ran up the stairs in search for my twin. I found him standing at my door looking inside my room. He looked as if he was admiring something. I crept quietly as to not alert Corey. I stood behind him and looked in the direction he was looking. He was looking at Corona sleeping. I can tell you right now that there is nothing admiring about Corona asleep. She does not look angelic at all, she looks like a tornado hit and washed out everything in its path. "Corey, no offence but you kind of look stalkerish right now." I said freaked out.
Corey was scared as he jumped forward and held his chest. "Gosh Chloe, you could've warned me!" he said turning towards me and glaring.
I held my hands up in surrender. "Why were you even watching her sleep? Twilight was probably a good movie but I don't think Corona would appreciate a real life Edward." I questioned him.
"I'm better than Edward in every way." He said ignoring my question. I decided to drop it, he will tell me when his ready. "Besides, why aren't you downstairs eating?" he asked trying to change the subject.
"Oh right!" I said remembering the actual reason I came upstairs. Very quickly I pushed him over and ran down the stairs laughing at his angry outburst. I went downstairs and sat back on the chair and picked up a pancake and ate it. Just as I remembered I was pushed out of my chair and hit the ground. I looked at my watch and smiled. I got up and dusted myself off. "Very impressive Corey, you're getting faster at getting up, or do you cry the same time you run down the stairs?" I asked him with a grin on my face when I saw his face. He was grinding his teeth. He was about to open his mouth but I beat him to it. "MOMMA!" I imitated his voice.
He just glared at me but five seconds later he smiled and bear hugged me. "It's so great to have you back sis!" he shouted hugging me tighter each second, if that was even possible. "I missed you so much!" He let go of me and smiled again.
We all smiled and sat around the bench and began to talk and eat. A few minutes later Corona came down the stairs all dressed. She was in skinny jeans, a white singlet, a black leather jacket and white converse shoes. "Thank goodness I am hungry!" Corona said as she came and sat in the chair next to Corey. Corey stiffened and gripped his fork so tight that his knuckles turned white. I looked at him strangely and he just shook his head.
I looked at the time and it was 8. "So what time does the pack meting start?" I asked stuffing my mouth with another pancake drenched in syrup. How I missed my mum's cooking.
"starts at 9." Corey said looking at his watch. "Which means that we have to leave now since I'm the beta." He said as he stood up and took his plate to the sink.
"Damnit, that means I have to be there early too or else Chase will be pissed." Corona said dropping her fork and getting up.
"WHO'S CHASE!" Corey yelled staring directly at Corona. We all looked at him strangely. My father and mother looked at each other with a knowing smile.
Corona just stared blankly back at Corey. "First of all, don't shout at me. Second of all, don't ever watch me while I sleep cause it's creepy and it disturbs me. And lastly Chase is my older brother who is the beta of my pack." She said in a flat tone with a straight face.
Corey immediately relaxed and inhaled. He walked out the door and that was Corona and I's cue to leave. I kissed everyone goodbye and left.
We got to the pack house in ten minutes and Xavier was already outside waiting for us at the door. Corey shoved past him and Corona just scoffed. Corona walked straight past him but not without coughing and mumbling 'pathetic' under her breath. Xavier ignored both of them and stayed glue to the floor and stared at me with regret and love in his eyes. Ugh I can't believe him! First he ruins two years of my life and rejects me and now he looks at me with love, unbelievable. I just ignored him and went to walk through the door but he stepped sideways and blocked it. "Chloe please let me explain myself-"
I didn't let him finish. "Xavier! Just do us both a favour and save it for someone who cares." I said glaring at him.
"Chloe, I'm sorry I really am just give me a chance to make everything up to you and prove to you that I can be the mate you want." He tried to beg.
"No! You knew the whole time I was innocent yet you let your sister ruin 2 long years of my life. You rejected me because you thought I disrespected your sister when you knew the whole time! What kind of mate does that?!" I asked getting more and more pissed off. "You just sat around for those 2 years and watched the pack humiliate, bully and push me around and you did nothing! You did nothing but offer your lap as a seat for Maya and made your lips a 24 hour kissing booth for her!" I yelled. Xavier hung his head down in shame. "You didn't care about me or my wolf! You never cared!" I yelled.
Xavier snapped his head at me. "I always cared. You probably don't believe me but I always have and always will care about you Chloe! You're my mate after all." Before I could protest he continued. "I know what I have done isn't exactly what a caring mate would do, but I truly do care about you Chloe. "He said walking towards me and holding my hand. I didn't fight him, I let him hold my hand and my wolf was in ecstasy, to finally get the attention that she has always wanted from her mate.
I looked him in the eye, showing no emotion. "You know Xavier, you're absolutely right. I am your mate." he smiled at me and started rubbing small circles on my hand. "You should've treated me better and showed me that you cared while you still had me." I yanked my hand out of his. "Cause now I'm with Adam." Xavier growled but I ignored him. "And you're with Maya who's pregnant with your child." With that I walked around him ignoring both him and my wolfs howls of sadness.
I walked into Xavier's office and Scott, Chase, Adam, Patrick, Peter, Rose, Corona and Zahara were already there sitting on the chairs. Corey was sitting on Xavier's desk starring daggers at Peter who was sitting next to Corona. What the hell is up with him? Right next to Xavier's desk was Maya. Oh great. She glared at me but I just ignored her and went and sat next to Adam who immediately kissed my cheek and wrapped one arm around me.
Soon Xavier walked in and sat down next to Maya while staring daggers at Adam. We all sat in an awkward silence until Scott cleared his throat. Xavier glared once more at Adam and began the meeting. "Well as you all know I'm alpha Xavier, of the moonstone pack and I have called you here to help us out with the rouges. They haven't attacked yet, but there have been a lot of spotting of them and by the looks of it there's a whole pack of them. I called you over for the safety of my pack as it is my duty to protect my pack before anything else, I'm sure you would understand Scott."
Scott nodded. I mumbled 'protect my pack my ass' quietly but somehow everyone heard and sniggered. "up top!" Patrick screamed raising his hand in the air for me to hi-five him. Chase smacked his head and he immediately put his hand down. I looked at Xavier and he was staring at me with a pained look.
"Well, what's the plan for the rouges?" Scott said trying to break the tension that filled this room.
"Well since your pack is experienced in fighting, maybe you could train my pack so that if the time to fight comes, everyone would be ready." Xavier said.
"Finally!" Corey yelled tiredly. "For once you finally sound like an actual alpha. All those other pack meetings, you sounded dumb and you never made sense." He said as everyone laughed quietly to themselves and Xavier looked down at his desk.
"Alpha Xavier." Scott said once again breaking the tension in the room. Xavier looked at Scott. "My pack will train your pack under a few circumstances." He said standing up.
"Yes sure, what are the circumstances?" Xavier said standing up.
"One, training will start at 4am and everyone is expected to show up on time." Xavier nodded. "Two, there is to be no back talking to one of my pack warriors or they get to choose what they do to that person." Xavier thought about that for a while but soon nodded and Scott continued. "We will train 2 times a day, once in the morning at 4 and finish at 7 for those who have school and then we will have another training session at 5pm to 11pm."
Xavier nodded again. "Any other conditions?" he asked annoyed.
"Yes." Scott said with a serious face now. "Whatever Chloe tells you to do, you have to. If she tells you to back off you will do just that." Xavier didn't say anything. "Are we clear Alpha Xavier? If my little cousin doesn't want you near her, you will not go anywhere near her! Now are we clear?!" He said looking at Xavier with nothing but hate.
"Yes, Scott!" Xavier said through gritted teeth.
"Good! Since todays Saturday I guess we can start practice now." Scott said clapping his hands. We all stood up and walked to the backyard as Xavier called all the teenagers to come down. Xavier introduced us and as usual people glared at me and mumbled horrible things about me. Obviously they haven't found out the news about their precious Elena.
Scott separated our pack and Xavier's pack into 4 groups Corona and I, Patrick and Peter, Zahara and Rose and Chase and Adam. We all led our group somewhere on the field. Xavier unfortunately followed my group. "Alright group listen up, I'm only going to say this once so you all better remember cause if you forget you will do 100 push ups in a minute and if you do not reach 100 you will starve this whole day." Everyone stopped mucking around straight away and gave all their attention to Corona. "My name is Corona, and this is Chloe. Some of you might remember her as she was part of your pack until you all stabbed her in the back and she soon joined her rightful pack."
"Sorry I'm late." Elena said as she walked towards us. I just felt like walking up to her and slapping her, but I'm better than that... and because I choke slammed her yesterday. Now she was right in front of Corona and I. "Actually I'm not sorry at all." She said all snooty.
Xavier came and grabbed Elena's arm tightly. "Don't mind my sister." He said agitated.
Corona just stared at Elena with disgust. "Don't worry Xavier; your lying sister isn't late. But since she was the last to get to training she will be the first to train."
"Uh no I'm not. I don't do training, and I obviously don't take orders from ugly looking whores." She said in her stuck up voice ignoring Xavier's violent tugs.
"Well we can obviously see you don't do any training, I mean you should really lay off the chocolate." Before Elena could reply Corona continued. "Anyways enough of that. Back to the training, yes Elena you are going to fight Chloe." The whole group gasped.
"What! Corona, this wasn't part of the training." I complained. Elena was protesting non-stop.
Corona just patted my shoulder. "Sorry, Cee but you know you want to rip her head off." I shook my head no and she just shook me. "This girl ruined your life, at least have fun while you get to bash her." She said smirking at me. "Come on you're one of the best fighters, show your old pack who they backstabbed."
I pushed her arms away from me. "No I'm not going to fight her, besides we're supposed to be teaching our group defence skills." I told her.
"Ngawww is Chloe the courageous scared to fight poor defenceless me?" Elena said in fake sympathy. "I thought you were one of the best fighters, but you were probably lying about that too." She said accusingly.
Ughh this girl makes my blood boil. Why is she still going along with her plan? It already backfired, Scott's the alpha of the Theta nu Theta pack and he confirmed I didn't do anything. "Fine! I'll fight you." If it's a fight she wants, it's a fight she'll get.
The whole group separated into two groups leaving Elena and I space to battle. Corona just finished telling us the rules. We were allowed to fight in any form and the first person to give up loses.
Elena and I both walked to opposite ends of the field. Elena chose to shift into her wolf. She was bigger than average female wolfs as she had alpha blood but hey I do too. Her wolf was actually pretty, such a shame she got stuck with a snobby human. I chose to fight in human form cause once your human is injured you can shift and heal yourself. Corona was doing the countdown for us. I looked over at Xavier, and he looked at me with a worried expression. Does he have that little faith in me? well I'll show him.
"3,2,1!" As Corona shouted 1 Elena charged towards me and dived straight for my shoulder trying to bite it off. I swiftly dodged her attack and she fell to the ground. She maintained herself and turned around quickly while snarling at me. She walked towards me menacingly showing her sharp vicious teeth. Each step she took I took a step back. "Hurry up and attack her Chloe!" Corona shouted. I looked back at her to tell her to shut up, but that was a big mistake. I forgot Corona's number 1 rule. Never turn your back on your opponent. Elena took this opportunity to pounce on me and claw my back and I got to admit, it hurt like hell. She kept clawing at me and soon my shirt was drenched with blood. I heard screaming and I looked to my left. Corona was holding an aggravated Xavier back. He was making so much noise that everyone else came and joined the crowd to watch me and Elena fight. Adam had to hold Corey back because he was just the same as Xavier.
I looked back up at Elena who was enjoying scratching me. I could see the evil glint in her eyes as she saw my blood spurt out. Well her funs about to be cut short. I used all my strength to push her away from me and kicked her. She went flying backwards a good few metres away from me and landed on the ground with a thud. I did a kip up and landed on my feet. By the time I was up Elena was up and growling at me. She stalked towards me and we circled each other. I watched her carefully to see if she showed any weaknesses, and just like that I found it. Her right hind leg was limping. I stood still and let Elena do all the walking. She stood on her hind legs to try and swipe at my face. Yes! She fell for it. As she stood up I kicked her right back leg. She whined as she fell to the ground. I thought she would give up then but she stood back up. I really shouldn't underestimate her.
She looked really pissed off. She ran at me again but this time she aimed for my throat. I quickly dodged her again. I turned around. Now I was pissed off. She wants to kill me. You never charge for another wolfs throat, that's a way of showing them you want to kill them. Everyone gasped and Scott, Chase and Patrick had to help Corona hold Xavier down before he shifted and Adam, Peter, Zahara and rose had to hold Corey down.
It's time to teach this girl a lesson. I'm done playing games and going easy on this girl. I ran towards Elena and jumped in the air shifting into my wolf which was bigger than Elena's and finally landed on top of her. I snarled at her, giving her a chance to give up. She snarled back at me and kicked me off. I turned around in the air so that I would land on my four legs instead of back. I extended my claws so that I could stop myself from sliding any further. I snapped my head at Elena and growled at her. She ran at me and as she was about to jump on me I clawed her across her belly. I ran at her and bit her limping leg and smiled as I heard her whine. I let go and clawed her again. I pinned her down beneath me and roared at her. She didn't show any sign of giving up so I clawed at her face. She was about to claw at my face but I was faster than her and bit her fore leg and scratched her face again. I growled once more at her giving her one last chance to give up but she kept attempting to push me off but I wouldn't let her. I bit into her shoulder and lifted her into the air, throwing her across the field. If she wants to die, then shall be it. When she was up on all fours and snarling at me I ran at full speed towards her and swiped her across her face. I bit her front leg then her shoulder then finally as I reached her throat, I heard everyone gasp again. Just as I was about to tear her throat out she shifted back into her human form and dodged my attack. She ran to the crowd and grabbed someone's shirt as she was butt naked. It's time to shift back then, I thought as Xavier looked at me sternly. Looks like he's reading my mind and doesn't like the idea of me shifting back. Ignoring the cold stares I got from Xavier I shifted back into my human form and stood naked on the field. Everyone stared at me. Well I won't lie but I do have a pretty hot body so I can't blame them. Xavier violently shook all 4 of them off and took his shirt off and put it on top of me in a flash. He stood in front of me in a protective stance. I pushed him off of me and found Elena right in front of my face. She grinned evilly at me before she slapped me across the face. I held the cheek she slapped and looked at her with a smile. "You hit like a bitch." I said as I right hooked her. I kept punching her using the same combination over and over again. Right hook, left hook, right hook, left hook, right hook and then finally I uppercut her and she fell to the ground. I held her by her throat. "Give up Elena!" I shouted and she just shook her head. I punched her stomach. "GIVE UP!" I said and still she shook her head no. I punched her eye and surely that will leave a bruise tomorrow morning. I decided to add pressure to my grip on her throat. "Give up Elena or I'll choke you to death." I yelled. No one moved, they were all just watching us. Elena didn't answer so I choked her a little bit tighter.
"Fine, I g gg gii give up." Elena managed to say. I let go and she gasped for air and the crowd sighed with relief. "Now tell them the truth Elena. Tell them what really happened to you 2 years ago." I said smiling at her scared, angry face.
"Two years ago, you set me up. You're a traitor!" she yelled still trying to cover up for herself.
I grabbed her throat again. "The truth Elena!" I said. I let her go and she walked towards the crowd.
"Guys I have something to tell you." She said looking at the ground.
