Chapter 7
The one in the middle was obviously the alpha as he was so big, bigger than Xavier's wolf. The middle one was full black while the one on his right who is probably his beta was brown with piercing blue eyes. The one to his left was full red except for a brown line on the side of his head.
The middle wolf growled a low warning growl, and since I was alone I had no choice but to submit and besides who wouldn't? these wolves were huge... and scary. I looked down and stuck my tail between my legs to show surrender. They ran behind trees and shifted. When they came back out all I could say was whoa! These guys we're legit Greek gods.
The alpha was the definition of Handsome! He had a muscular tan skin body with brown short hair and gorgeous brown eyes. It was weird though, he reminded me of my dad. The guy on his right was the definition of Sexy! He was tall, had beautiful black hair, and piercing blue eyes. He had this mysterious vibe going on. The third guy was... Was a girl! What?!
She had shoulder length brown hair, light brown eyes and was fair skinned. Too say she was pretty, would be an understatement. They all stood in a line with the alpha standing a little bit in front. "SHIFT!" he said.
I looked up straight away in alarm. I don't have clothes!; I can't shift and be butt naked. "If you do not obey me rougue I will have no choice but to kill you, so I suggest you shift NOW!"
I stood there looking at the guy. Should I just shift and be naked or die? Before I could make up my mind the girl stood forward and spoke. "She must not have clothes." Thank goodness she's smart, with the beauty she had, I'd never thought she would be smart.
The alpha looked towards the guy with blue eyes. The blue eye guy took his shirt off and oh my goodness I think I was drooling which must be unattractive, I mean just imagine a wolf drooling, not a pretty sight. He silently chuckled but threw his shirt over at me. I placed it in my mouth and ran behind a tree and shifted. I put the shirt on and it was like a freakin dress. It came 5cm above my knee, but hey I'd rather that then 5cm under my butt cheeks.
I took a deep breath and went back to the other three. "I'm alpha Scott, this here (he pointed to his right at the blue eye guy) is my beta Chase and this here (he pointed to the girl) well she's his sister Corona." He said to which the girl immediately smacked him across the arm.
"I'm not just his sister!" She looked towards me and took a step forward with her hand out for me to shake which I did. "My name's Corona Ruben, I'm the beta's sister and I am a kickass fighter, I could seriously kick his ass." She said pointing over towards the alpha to which he growled and she put her arms up in surrender. "Just saying!" she said stepping back.
"Back to the point!" The alpha butted in. "What's your name and why are you trespassing on my land!" he said looking me right in the eye.
I looked to the floor since looking an alpha in the eye is disrespectful. "My names Chloe, Chloe Maka. I'm here-" I didn't get time to finish.
"You're Paea, Beta of the moonstone pack's daughter!" he said shocked. The other two just looked at him weirdly.
"Umm yeah. Why do you ask?" I said.
"He's my uncle!" I looked at him straight away.
"WHAT!" Chase, Corona and I spat out.
"He's my uncle. My dad's his younger brother."
"Cousin I just met now say what?!" I said and he just laughed.
"I don't know why I didn't realise it, you look exactly like my nena when she was young." I looked at him with my jaws dropped. "Ok let me explain. This pack is our family pack. Your father was ment to become alpha but then he met his mate and she was a beta's daughter from the moonstone pack. Your father had to choose between being alpha or being with his mate as his mate didn't want to move since her father was very ill. He obviously chose his mate or you wouldn't be standing there right now. My father stepped in when your dad left and took the place as Alpha. He handed down the position to me since I'm 18 but rightfully the position is yours."
"Whoa!" was all my stupid brain could say. They all laughed at me.
"Anyways, not trying to be rude or anything why are you back?" I looked at him strangely. "I mean like how did you find us?"
"Well, I was just running away from my old pack and viola here I am!" I said while twirling around.
"Why did you run away? You're a beta's daughter." Corona asked bewildered.
"Yes I am, but lets just say after a little incident I wasn't really liked as a person or a pack mate which lead to other incidents which leads us to why I'm standing here." I said hoping they won't question me any further.
"What kind of incident?" Chase questioned eyeing me suspiciously.
I hesitated for a while, fine make that 8 minutes and 23 seconds, yes I was counting because this was just so awkward. "Who cares? All that matters is that you're here and since I'm the alpha and your older cousin, you have to stay here." Scott said with a smile and man he looked like Paea.
Hmm Paea, I miss them already. Especially little Daniel, and momma and who could forget Corey my over protective, older by 10 minutes and caring twin brother. "Hey scott, do you reckon I can call my family and you know tell them I'm safe and sound with his younger brother that he has never told me about?" I said hopingly.
They all laughed. "Sure" he said and we all walked back to their pack house.
Corey's P.O.V (after the party)
I wonder why Chloe was crying. I swear I will kill who ever caused her tears. No one hurts my little sister and gets away with it. Even if it's Xavier I will still freaken kill him, alpha or not. My wolf doesn't like the way he orders us around especially the day he slapped Chloe. That day I will never forget, oh Xavier wishes I would forget, but that will never happen.
Thank goodness my dad chose to live in another house because if I lived in the pack house Xavier would be dead already.
I'm finally home, I still feel bad for leaving Chloe when she was in need of someone. She might think I don't know how she feels but come on, I'm her twin and since were werewolves I can feel what she feels. All she feels is sadness, anger and remorse. Whenever I would try talk to her she would either be in her room with Luke or hanging out... with Luke. Every single day she's with him, I won't be surprised if Luke turns out to be her mate. Oh but if he is, I will certainly make sure he treats her good cause if he doesn't oh man that's a different story.
I walked into the kitchen to see if Momma left me anything. Man I have great memories in the kitchen. Owning Chloe in Italian, fighting with Chloe over small things and slowly learning Tongan so I can swear back at Chloe when she speaks Tongan.
Paea was in the kitchen eating a packet of honey soy chips. I went and sat on the stool next to him. "Dad what are you doing up at this time?" I asked taking some chips out of the packet.
"Oh well son, you see I was uh working a lot today, wait no I wasn't I was uhh-" he began thinking for an excuse.
"Worried about Chloe again?" I asked not surprised, he is really over protective, worse than me. Once at a pack meeting he was so close to ripping Xavier's throat out. If it wasn't for momma he would have succeeded.
"Yes Corey I am. She's my only daughter and I don't want any guy messing with her." He said clenching his fists. "If that stupid prick Xavier slapped her, then everyone will think it's ok to slap her and it's not." He turned to me. "Son, are you sure everything is alright at school with her?, no one's picking on her or giving her a hard time?" he asked me looking in my eyes to see whether I would lie.
I gulped, Chloe made me promise her that I wouldn't say anything. I shook my head no. "Are you lying to me?" I shook my head again. "Ok good, I just don't want anyone giving my baby girl a hard time." I nodded my head and he looked at me again. "But you would tell me if something's going on, right?" Oh man I hate lying to my dad. "I just don't want her depressed where she would do things that she will regret." He said looking at his hands as a tear ran down his face.
Ok this is for Chloe's sake. Dad can help her out and besides a parent should know what's going on in their child's life. "Dad?" I said looking at him. He looked up and I turned my gaze to my hands. "Um well remember when you asked me if I was lying to you?" I asked. I looked up and he nodded so I continued as I looked at my hands again. "Well, you see... I was." I inhaled before I looked back up. I regretted it, the look on my dad's face was painful. He looked hurt, angry and sad.
"I'm listening." He said looking directly at me.
"Well you know how Xavier slapped her, well he slapped her because someone said she planned an attack on Elena with the Theta nu Theta pack and-"
"How do you know of that pack?" my father questioned worriedly. His face became pale as I mentioned the name of the pack.
"What, the Theta nu Theta pack?" He winced slightly but nodded. "Well I don't know of them but I have heard of them. Apparently there the nastiest pack, well according to Elena and Xavier which makes everyone believe it but I don't, my wolf actually likes the name of the pack." His face paled even more if that was even possible. "well anyways back to the story, first day back at school Elena showed up with bruises so everyone believed that Chloe actually did. After that day things have been getting worse. People would shove her and bully her, even kids from Daniel's school tease her." My dad's face hardened but he remained quiet. "They say she's a whore that steals people's mates and all these other ridiculous stuff about how she's secretly part of the Theta nu Theta pack." As I said this my fists were clentched. "You don't know how hard it is to keep my wolf calm when what I really want to do is kill them, but I can't for Chloe's sake. She has a calm nature, and hates fighting. My wolf and I on the hand is down for anything. He wants to kill Xavier not only for what he did to Chloe but because my wolf doesn't like being bossed around."
I started shaking as images of Xavier slapping Chloe and of him ordering me around started playing in my head. I was so close to shifting, if it wasn't for the doorbell I would've shifted right now.
When I opened the door I was surprised to see Crystal there because Chloe said she was staying at the pack house with her. "Hey Crystal." She just nodded and smiled but her smile didn't reach her ears. "Did you come with Chloe?" I asked as I looked around. Crystal shook her head and a tear fell out of her eye. "Where is she? Is she ok?" I asked frantically and as I did my dad came to the door and he was going crazy too.
Crystal didn't say anything but just reached into her purse and pulled out two envelopes and handed it to us. She gave us a sympathetic smile before walking off. Confused I opened the letter with my name on it with Chloe's handwriting on it. It read:
Dear Corey,
By the time you're reading this I am most probably long gone, and for that I am sorry.
You know half the reason why I left, but deep down you know the whole story, but you're just too over protective to realise. All this time you have been protecting me you became blind to what's actually going on.
Xavier Gilbert is my mate, he rejected me. That's why I've been depressed, because no matter what he does I can't stop loving him even If I wanted to. But after he announced Maya as his mate, he not only destroyed me, but my wolf too. My wolf is hurt and she needs time away so she can process it. For two years brother I stayed strong, watching him flirt and kiss other girls in front of me, it killed me.
That's not the only reason, Luke has abandoned me for Elena. He admitted that he likes seeing me upset, what kind of friend does that?
Anyway, don't worry I will keep in touch. When I safely arrive somewhere I will call you.
Thank you for sticking by me and protecting me. You and Daniel are the best brother's I could've asked for. I must've done something right to deserve you two.
Take care of Daniel, I know he's going to take this hard, but make sure he doesn't act out.

My wolf went into a frenzy phase. I didn't hand my father the letter addressed to him, momma and Dan so he was looking at me weirdly. The last part of the letter is what kept me together, but it didn't stop the tears.
My twin was gone, she was hurting more than she let out and I wasn't there for her. Xavier, he's dead to me, how can he reject her? I may not be able to kill him but man he better pray my wolf's nature is kind and forgiving because boy his first on my hit list.
"Corey, what's wrong?" My father asked as he gripped my shoulders. I looked at him then down at the letter and slowly handed it to him.
Paea's P.O.V
Why is Corey crying? This boy never cries except when Chloe fights with him. Chloe doesn't realise how loving and protective he is over her. Even Daniel is. I guess they all take after me.
"Corey, what's wrong?" I asked my son worriedly. He looked down at an enevelope in his hand then back at me and then slowly gave it to me. I took it, confused to what's going to be in it. I smelt Chloe's scent all over it and so I looked down and sure enough it was Chloe's handwriting on the front of the envelope printed 'Mum, Dad and Daniel'. I opened it up and read:
Dear Mum, Dad and Daniel
I know you thought things were going great in my life, but the truth Is, it's not. It's the complete opposite. I'm sorry I lied to you for two years and before you get angry at Corey I made him promise not to tell any of you so don't punish him too roughly.
Now you're probably wondering why I'm writing this letter instead of telling you, well you see I'm kind of gone. I needed to get out of here so I ran. And I know you raised me better than to run from my problems but I tried, for two whole years. I tried to overlook my problems but I can't. It hurts too much.
For the past two years I've been bullied, rejected and replaced and it feels painful. I've had enough of it, and I'm sorry I didn't tell you but I was afraid you would take matters in to your own hands because I know how protective you all are, and I couldn't have that.
I guess since I already started to tell you this much and your wolves are most probably seeing red I should tell you the whole story.
Well long story short, Xavier is my mate and he rejected me. I've been living two whole years mate less because Xavier's embarrassed and not man enough to mate me. Luke isn't my best friend anymore he teamed up with Elena.
If you attend the next pack meeting you will find out what pushed me over the edge and made me run away.
I didn't run away because of you guys. You all are the best and I couldn't have been happier than to be born into this family.
I'm not gone forever. I'll be back... eventually, but until then, just know that I'm happy.

I dropped the letter on the floor. My baby girls gone! All because of Xavier. If he thinks he's almighty because he's alpha, he has another thing coming.
