Chapter 8:
Xavier's P.O.V
I woke up as someone was stirring beside me. I opened one eye to see who it was. Oh it's just Maya. My wolf hates me for doing what I did to Chloe but he's warming up to Maya's wolf. Who knows maybe my wolf and Maya's will accept each other as true mates.
I pulled Maya close to me and just lay there with her. I can't say that I'm happy rejecting Chloe but lets face reality, me and her can never be together.
I wonder what my life would be like right now if I accepted her.
She would be the one in my arms. She would be happy, like how she is with Luke and- "CRYSTAL!" I shouted as the omega walked into my room without knocking or asking for permission.
Who does she think she is? I woke Maya up with a fright and she bolted straight up. She looked at me and relaxed into my arms while glaring at Crystal.
"Why did you walk in without permission?" I said irritated.
She ignored whatever I said and threw an envelope beside me with 'Xavier' printed on the front.
I was about to ask her what it was and who's it from but she interjected.
"You're such an ass!" I was about to tell her off but she spoke once again interrupting me. "I don't care if you're the alpha, you're not worthy of that title. Your first day as alpha and you stuffed it up already. I hope she finds what she's looking for!" she screamed as she walked out of my room slamming the door.
Maya looked at me strangely but I just shrugged. She got up and pecked me on the lips before going to the bathroom to probably shower cause last night was... something I tell you.
She closed the door. I looked down at the envelope and counted to three before opening it. When I opened it I began to read:
Dear Xavier,
I hate you, I hate you so much, you screwed me over and over again.
You're the worst mate anybody could have and unfortunately your mine, well you were, at least.
Anyways I'm letting you know since you can't have both me and her; well you already knew that since you chose her over me, one of us had to leave. I knew you would rather me than her so I hope you're happy, cause I left.
Xavier I'm long gone and who knows maybe I will be able to find another just like you did and for all it's worth I hope I do cause I'm sick and tired of waiting for you when you're not man enough to step up and accept me as your mate. But we all know that's never going to happen since you marked Maya so I guess this is goodbye.
You know what they say, 'you never know how much you need someone, till they're gone', I hope you'll realise this, but it doesn't matter cause I, Chloe Maka, accept you, Xavier Gilbert's rejection.

I let the paper drop to the ground and I shot out of bed. She can't be gone, she just can't. What if this is one of her games at trying to win me back. Yeah that's it, she's just playing a game on me, the little trickster, I kept telling myself as tears ran down my face. She's just playing me; she's probably at home with Corey and Luke. LUKE! how I hate him. 'MATE! NEED TO FIND MATE!' my wolf yelled in my head and for once I finally agreed with him. I'll start at her house.
Luke's P.O.V
Ahhhhh, why am I so stupid! I shouldn't have ruined my friendship with Chloe. She's my best friend. She's been hurt too many time by people at school, and I just made her a lot worse. Arghh stupid Luke I mumbled as I slammed my head against my wall. Memories of the past two amazing years I've spent with Chloe flashed through my mind which made me even more frustrated as I probably lost Chloe as a friend forever.
I was about to throw my bedside lamp across the room when my door slammed opened. I got ready in a fighting position so I'm ready to attack if necessary. I physically and mentally relaxed when I saw it was Crystal, the omega and Chloe's new friend. "You do know you can knock!" I said pointing to my door.
"You do know, I don't care!" she snapped back. Whoa who's got her panties in a twist. I was about to reply but she spoke up. "Just shut up and take the letter, it's from Chloe." She turned around and walked back but she stopped at the door and turned to face me again. "What you did was stupid and cruel, you don't deserve her forgiveness!" she sneered at me and slammed the door.
Wait does that mean Chloe forgives me because Crystal just said I don't deserve it!
Excitedly and impatiently I opened the envelope and began to read:
Dear Luke,
Umm well I don't really have anything to say to you but what I do want to tell you is that what you did to me was painful and I can't believe you would do that to me. I thought you were different, because you said you didn't care about all the popularity shit but I guess people can be deceiving. I shouldn't be complaining though cause I've been keeping a secret from you too. I found my mate and I never told you whenever you asked me. You want to know why? Because he rejected me! Xavier Gilbert rejected me!
Anyways, even though you're so mean to me I still feel like I should be telling you that I'm gone. But hey that's ok now, cause now you can make out with Elena with no regrets right, you can tell her how much you hate me and how much I annoy you right?

I crumbled the paper up. NO! Chloe can't be gone. This is all Xavier's fault! 'And yours douche' my wolf yelled.
I threw the paper on the floor and rushed out of the house. Chloe's not gone!
Chloe's P.O.V
Scott, Chase and Corona led me to their pack house and damn was it huge. There were pictures of my dad and Scott's dad I assumed when they were younger. Boy did dad look like Corey when he was young.
Since it was late they made me wait till morning to call home. I slept in Corona's room since no one knew I was here as they were all sleeping.
I woke up early and they led me to what I presumed was Scott's office. I met uncle Sione there, his a spitting image of my dad.
He handed me his phone and I dialled my home phone.
Let's hope they haven't destroyed anything so far.
Corey's P.O.V
I somehow persuaded my dad to go back to sleep and that we'll sort everything out today. If Chloe doesn't ring by the end of today we will go on a search party with or without Xavier's permission and look for her.
I poured myself some juice as I waited right beside the phone. Chloe said she would call as soon as she arrives safely, so if she doesn't call that means she's in danger and I have killing to do. By now my father walked into the kitchen and sat next to me by the phone. He was all tense and he didn't even relax when Katherine told him to.
Mum took this really hard. Even though it seems as if she favours me the most, Chloe was still her only daughter. She loves Chloe so much, but she had to stay strong for Daniel and I. She walked around the kitchen like she was doing something, but she wasn't, and you couldn't miss the tears as it fell from her eyes.
I guess everyone needs their little girl back. Daniel walked into the kitchen rubbing his sleepy eyes. We haven't told him the news. I hope he takes it well. "Good morning everyone." Daniel said as he walked towards my cup of juice and drank it. He's just like his sister which makes it even harder to tell him that she's gone. I would've said something about him taking my drink but today's an exception. I kept quiet as I began to think of all the mornings I had when Chloe would take my food. He looked at me weirdly as I always complain when he and Chloe steal my things. "I just stole your drink and you're not angry, whoa puberty does change people." He said smiling. What! How does a six year old know about puberty?"
I kept quiet and he just looked at me. "What's wrong with you? I just insulted you twice and you're still quiet." He said slowly. Everyone looked at him sympathetically. We all know Daniel loved Chloe the most if that was even possible because we all love her so much. We kept quiet and he looked around again. "Where's Chloe?" he asked turning around searching for her. No one answered him. "Where is she? It's 7am, it's way too early for her to be hanging out somewhere now!" he said in a panic tone.
My mum just went and rested her hand on his shoulder. "Son, we need to have a talk." She said sadly. Daniel looked at her scared for a minute but went and sat down next to Paea. Katherine went and stood behind dad and tried to speak but she couldn't manage to say anything. My father squeezed her hand and kept quiet.
Looks like it's up to me to tell Dan. "Dan?" I said looking at him. He nodded. "Well you see, the thing is, Chloe, she's uh she's gone." I said holding back the tears. I looked over at him and he was pissed.
"COREY THIS ISN'T FUNNY! WHERE IS SHE?" he yelled. My mother cried freely, looks like Daniel isn't taking this very well.
"Daniel, I wouldn't lie about this, and you know that. She left last night." I said as a single tear dropped from my eye.
"NO! YOU'RE LYING, SHE'S NOT GONE! SHE'S WITH LUKE!" I was about to say something but then Daniel broke down completely and started crying. "She can't be gone, she can't be! She promised she wouldn't leave. She promised me!" he started crying even more and my mother immediately went and held him as he cried.
"Daniel, she didn't mean to leave, she had to, people were being mean to her and hurting her." My father said patting his head. Right now I didn't care, I let my tears run free as I cried.
"Then why didn't you help her!" Daniel asked angrily. "If she was hurting and people were being mean to her why didn't you help her?" he cried out.
"Son, I only found out last night. I guarantee you if I knew about this earlier, anyone who harmed her would be dead." My father said clenching his fists as he probably began thinking of people hurting Chloe.
Just then the doorbell rang. Who would be here at this time of day? Daniel shot up screaming Chloe's back so my father had to hold him back because it's not. If it was I would've been able to smell her and feel her since we're twins. I walked to the door and opened it.
Isn't this just great the two reasons why my baby sister left standing right in front of me looking horrible.
"What do you want!?" I yelled at them. They both flinched at my tone of voice. Good, be scared, I could care less.
"Where's Chloe?" they asked in unison.
I had to hold my wolf back from breaking free and killing them right here right now. "She's gone because of you two. You should feel sorry for yourselves." I roared. They looked at the ground in shame and disappointment. "If you two don't get off my land I'll kill you both!" I warned them. Luke began to back away a little but Xavier snapped his head up at me and his eyes were pitch black. Usually this would be scary, seeing an alpha mad, but for some reason I'm not.
"I'm alpha and this is my territory! Move out of my way so I can see MY MATE!" he screamed.
"MATE? Last time I heard you rejected her, you don't deserve her and I hope she finds someone who will love her." I spat out.
Xavier went pycho and pushed past me. "SHE'S MINE!" he yelled walking into my house.
Katherine's P.O.V
Corey went to go check who was at the door. He's been there for a few minutes now. I wonder who it is? I was about to go and check who it was until I heard "SHE'S MINE!" followed by a loud thump. What the hell is going on?
"GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!" I heard Corey yell. Scared as I thought it was a rouge wolf I grabbed Daniel and got ready to run if necessary. I positioned myself in a stance that allowed me to either run or attack. Paea positioned himself in front of both Daniel and I, shielding us from the intruders.
The footsteps were getting closer followed by Corey's. They finally appeared in the kitchen and we relaxed, well Daniel and I did. Paea was a different story.
Paea's P.O.V
As soon as I saw Xavier, I let my wolf take control. Who is he to think he can reject my daughter, lay a hand on both my son and daughter and then waltz in to my house being all macho man?
I always knew he'd be a bad alpha. Time to show him what an alpha should act like.
"YOU!" I growled out as I pointed at Xavier. I ran forward and grabbed him by his throat and held him in mid-air. "You're the reason why my baby girl is gone, you bastard. You don't deserve her!" I yelled as I made my grip on him tighter. "For my daughter's sake I didn't kill you the first chance I got, which was the day you slapped her!" I said as I choked him. I threw him across the wall. I could hear my precious mate Katherine begging me to stop, but my two sons just kept staring at me. My family. Chloe won't be able to start a family and won't be able to experience a mate's love... all because of this jerk lying on the ground like a pathetic piece of shit. I walked towards him menacingly. I crouched down and tilted his head up so he was looking me in the eye before I kill him. "You will regret your decision, you're an alpha, stronger than normal wolves which makes you need your mate even more. You think you'll be able to survive without my Chloe but guess again." I said as I pulled his head back. "You can't live without her. An alpha's mate is the one thing he needs by his side or he'll go crazy. Without your mate, you won't be able to run your pack properly. Obviously your father didn't teach you well enough." I stood up pulling him up with me. I slammed him against the floor.
"How d-d-do you k-know? You're n-not an al-alpha." He managed to choke out. I smiled widely at him and crouched down to his level again.
I pulled him by his neck and looked him in the eye. "Because pup, I'm an-"
I didn't get to finish as I heard Katherine say "CHLOE!"
I snapped my head at her and she was on the phone. I dropped Xavier and rushed to her side and took the phone. "CHLOE?!" I shouted.
"Hey Teti."
