“Harry! Harry, calm down!” Rhys shouted desperately, watching me pace madly around his door room, tugging at my curls in frustration.

“No! I want to know what the fuck is going on! Why are those Alphas chasing us—me!?” I shouted, turning to face Rhys as he sat on the edge of his small bed, looking at me with wide blue eyes.

“Its nothing…” He sighed, flopping down on his back, “Just forget it, okay? I don’t know who those Alphas were.”

I groaned, running my hands down my face in aggravation before collapsing on the bed beside Rhys.

I just don’t understand why he won’t tell me what’s happening! One moment he’s dragging me out of a café, then we’re being chased by two huge Alphas, and then he tells me that they were just chasing me!? Now he won’t tell me who those wolfs were and what they want with me!

I hate when people do this. They make everything seem like a big deal, and then they’re not willing to explain anything to you. It just makes me so angry that he’s hiding something from me, about me!

“H, maybe you should get some rest…” Rhys suggested quietly from beside me, staring up at the ceiling blankly.

“No, I don’t need rest.” I huffed, rolling onto my side so I was facing the other Omega, “What I need is for you to explain to me what’s going on.”

He groaned, throwing his hands up dramatically then slapping them back down on the comforter, “Just drop it Harry! Please! I promised you it was nothing, didn’t I?”

“Yeah but—“

“Then let that be enough! We’re friends now, right? Trust me. If it was something important, then I would surely tell you.” He told me sincerely, tilting his head to the side to stare at me through those big ocean blue eyes. I think Rhys has the prettiest eyes I’ve ever seen.

“Fine…” I sighed, pouting a bit with a frown crawling its way onto my face. “You would tell me if it was a big deal, right?”

“Of course.” He assured, nodding his head against his sheets.

It was only then when I realized that I had just messed up his perfectly made bed. “Oh Rhys, I’m sorry…” I bit my lip, slowly rising into a sitting position and looking at the creased sheets in guilt, “I didn’t mean to mess up your sheets.”

He simply shrugged, going back to staring at the ceiling, “I don’t mind. Greyson and me would’ve screwed them up anyway.”

I shut my mouth, not knowing how to respond to that. I really don’t need to know how him and Greyson were planning on ‘screwing’ up his bed sheets.

We were left in silence for a while, both of us just staring blankly at a part of the small dorm room. I huffed out a breath after a couple more minutes, “I should really start heading back to the room. I need to check over my binders and stuff one more time. Classes are tomorrow, gotta be prepared.” I chuckled a bit, running one last hand through my scattered curls before standing up.

“You do realize it’s only like 1 o’clock, right? Let’s chat a little bit more.” Rhys proposed, sitting back up on his bum and scooting up the bed until his back rested on the wall. His bed was place similar to mine. One side of the bed and his headboard was pressed tightly to the two walls that met at the corner.

“Alright, fine.” I agreed reluctantly, climbing back up the bed so I was sat beside him again, with my back rested on the same wall as his. “What did you want to talk about?”

“I don’t know…anything.” He chuckled breathlessly, looking over at me from the corner of his eye, “Why’d you decide to come to this University?”

I dropped my gaze to my lap, puffing out my cheeks while fiddling with my fingers, “I didn’t. My dad decided for me.”

“What do you mean?”

“I had a different University planned. One that I had desperately wanted to go to ever since I could remember…” I sighed quietly, shaking my head to push the depressing thoughts away.

“So…why didn’t you?”

“My dad wanted me to go to this one. He said I had to, or else he would cut off all connections with me. I didn’t really have much choice. I mean, he’s harsh, but I still love him and I don’t want to stop seeing him…or my mom or my sister. I just—I don’t know, I guess I just didn’t want him to be disappointed in me so I followed his orders…as always.” I rolled my eyes, exhaling loudly at the memories of trying to convince him to let me go to my dream University. I had even gotten on my knees, begging him till I was crying for him to not make me go to another werewolf school. I just wanted to be rid of all the werewolves. I hated always feeling inferior to people. Where people would look down at me in my werewolf high school just because I’m an Omega.

“That’s rough.” Rhys huffed, giving me a sympathetic look.

“Yeah, but its done now. I mean, I’m here aren’t I? There’s not much I can do anymore.” I stopped my twirling fingers, crossing my arms in front of my chest instead. “So why are you here? You’re a freshmen right?”

He nodded, “Yeah, a newbie.” He shrugged, “I came here for Greyson.”

I raised an eyes brow at him, “You knew Greyson before A. B. O?”

Rhys laughed loudly, as if what I had said was the funniest thing he’s ever heard, “Of course I knew Greyson before A. B. O! It’s only the second day of Uni, I didn’t just meet him the first day and let him mate me without a second thought!” He shook his head in amusement, “I knew him in high school. We started dating when I was in year ten, and him in year eleven. I already knew I was in love with him, even if I was only fifteen.”

I smiled at him, “So you were mated at fifteen?”

“No no no!” He shook his head frantically, waving his hands in front of him for emphasis, “We dated for a year, he told me he wouldn’t rush me. He said that he’d wait as long as I needed before he would give me his knot.” I watched as a fond smile spread across his boyish features at the memories, “We had mated before he graduated. I told him that I wanted to be his, even when he was going to school so far away. I had promised to visit the Uni as much as I could, and he came back to the high school sometimes to see me. Everything was working out, and that was when I knew for sure that him and me would last. I knew once I graduated, I wouldn’t even be able to handle going to a school he wasn’t in. So, I applied for A. B. O…and here I am!” He laughed, grinning widely after he finished his story, and then blushing lightly when he realized he was rambling, “Sorry, I’ll shut up now.”

“No, it was cute.” I smiled back at him, my dimples popping out on the sides of cheeks, “I couldn’t be happier for you guys. You’re lucky your mate is such a sweet guy. You guys match perfectly.”

He beamed brightly, “Yeah, I guess we do.”

We were brought back in silence after that, both of us rethinking the conversation we had just had.

I couldn’t help that little negative thought, nagging me from the back of my mind. Its always there saying,  “Get your lazy ass up and go find your mate!”

I know I should listen to my head and go try harder to find my soul mate, but…it’s just so hard. There are so many terrible scenarios that could occur if I ever do find my Alpha.

“Harry? You okay?” Rhys asked worriedly, his eyes wide when he saw my saddened expression.

I immediately recovered from my previous thoughts, offering him a small smile, “Yeah! I’m great.”

“No…you’re not. What’s wrong?” He questioned, giving me a look that’s saying I better not lie to him.

I sighed, “I’m just thinking about my mate. What if he’s a jerk? Or he doesn’t like me? Or worse, what if I never ever find him.”

“Don’t say that.” Rhys cut in sharply, frowning at me, “You’ll find your mate, don’t doubt it.”

“How do you know that!? It’s been forever and no ones stuck out for me.” I groaned, running a hand over my face in frustration, “I might as well just give up hope.”

“Stop that Harry.” Rhys scolded, squirming on the bed until he was sitting in front of me, “You’ll find him, and you’ll get the happily ever after you deserve.”

I gave him sad smile, rolling my eyes a bit, “Happily ever after’s only ever happen in fairytales.”

“Happily ever after’s are not fairytales!” Rhys said firmly, shaking his head at me in a disappointing matter, “It’s a choice, and whether you’re willing to look for that choice is up to you.”

I paused, looking his face over a bit to see that it held all seriousness. I bit my lip, “You really believe that don’t you?”

“Of course! Prince Charming’s not just going to swing by on his own and sweep you off your feet. Ariel had to trade her fins for legs to find her Prince Charming. Belle had to live with a Beast for a while until he became her Prince Charming. If you want your own Prince Charming, you better go fucking look for him.”

I laughed, pulling my legs from out in front of me, to a crisscross position. “Alright,  alright! I get it…if I want my fairytale, I’m going to have to go create it myself.”

Rhys smiled, nodding his head, “And when you do, I’m sure you’re going to feel like a princess.”

I laughed, slapping him on the shoulder lightly, “So…how’d you find your Prince Charming?” I wiggled my eyebrows at him, waiting for him to engulf me into another one of his romance memories.

“Are you kidding? I was a waiter at the cheapest coffee shop around town. I had to serve teenage perverts for six months until I found my Prince Charming.” He huffed dramatically, “Fucking took him long enough.”

I laughed again, already feeling so close to Rhys, even if we had only met a couple hours ago. He just comes off as the type of person I’d be willing to trust and share some of my most kept secrets with. It could be the fact that he’s an Omega as well…I don’t really meet too many of those. There are mainly Alphas that you see across town.

“Well speaking of your,” I held up quotation marks, “’Prince Charming’, think he’s received enough sleep, and I should be heading back.”

He frowned and grumbled a low, “Fine.”

We both got up from the bed, cracking our muscles back into place after having been sitting so long. “Just let me text Grey to come walk you back to your dorm.”

I rolled my eyes, “I’m pretty sure I can manage on my own.”

Rhys shook his head, “Do you not remember what happened when it was just the two of us out on campus? Nothing good ever comes from an unprotected Omega.”

I almost had forgotten about the two Alphas at the café. Rhys really does a good job of keeping my mind occupied with other things.

“Alright, call your little boyfriend if you must.” I mumbled, plopping back down on the bed.

Rhys beamed in victory, pulling out his phone from his jacket pocket and texting who I’m assuming is Greyson.

“Oh,” Rhys exclaimed, putting his phone down on his side table, “Put this on and give me your coat.” He instructed, taking off his own jacket and handing it to me.

“Why?” I asked in confusion, staring at the article of clothing he was offering.

“Just put it on, please. You trust me, don’t you?” He widened his eyes once again, giving me a pouty look that I couldn’t help but melt in to.

“Okay okay, I’ll put it on. But you better give me my coat back tomorrow.” I warned, pulling the jacket from his grasp and shrugging off my own.

“Yeah, of course.” He smiled, taking my coat when I handed it to him.

I muttered some words under my breath, yanking on Rhys’ jacket in annoyance.

I can’t believe I fell for those eyes again…

“Oh, it’s Grey!” Rhys cheered, once he heard the familiar ringtone vibrating through his cellphone. Hastily, he picked it up and brought it to his ear, “Hey, babe!...yeah, thanks…okay…sure…he does…okay, we’re coming down! See ya soon!”

I smiled at how quickly Rhys’ face brightens up when he talks to his mate, or even when he sees him. I just want a love like theirs.

“Why can’t he come up to get me?” I asked curiously, rising from the bed and making my way to the door with Rhys.

He rolled his eyes, “I already told you! Alphas aren’t allowed in here. Its an Omega only building.”

“Wait, so Greyson’s never been in your dorm room?” I inquire in disbelief, feeling absolutely baffled that Rhys had never had his Alpha up here.

“Don’t be ridiculous.” The Omega huffed, opening his dorm door and walking out with me trailing behind. “He normally sneaks in at night so its less obvious, but I’ve only been here for a week so it hasn’t really happened that often.”

I nodded, “Is there strict security here?”

He shrugged, keeping his eyes straight ahead while greeting a few people down the hall, “We have ID that you have to show when you walk in the building, other than that, there’s not much security. Although, if you do end up getting caught with an Alpha up here, the consequences are serious.”

I nodded once again, closing my mouth from any further questions that would threaten to spill out. Rhys was quiet too, just silently tapping his foot while we waited in the elevator to be brought down to the lobby. I couldn’t help but notice that Rhys actually does look quite young. He’s not very tall, and his features look kind of childish. Even though I know he’s my age, I can’t help but feel a little older for once. It’s a nice feeling.

“Greyson!” Rhys beamed as we made it down the exterior steps of the building. I was taking my time where as Rhys sprinted all the way into his lovers arms, giggling madly when the latter began spinning him off the ground.

“Hey baby!” Greyson greeted, setting his boyfriend back down on the ground and then turning his attention to me, “Hey H! How was coffee? I hope my little cutie treated you well.” He smirked, jumping a bit when Rhys smacked his chest.

“Oh, Shut up…” He rolled his eyes playfully, pouting until Greyson kissed it away.

I laughed, “Yeah it was fun. I’m glad we got to know each other a little better.” I grinned, turning my attention to Rhys.

“Yeah, we’ll definitely do it again.” He smiled, leaning in to his boyfriend’s side and standing on his tippy toes to whisper something in his ear. I watched in curiosity, as Greyson’s eyes seemed to widen in shock as his green hues flickered over to me and then looking back at his mate.

“What?!”

“Shh!” Rhys hissed, hitting him again on his chest, “I’ll explain more later.”

“You sure will!” The Alpha shouted, his face still contorted in disbelief.

“What’s wrong?” I asked cautiously, giving them a wary look.

And just like that, both there faces turned into suspicious smiles, “Nothing!” They shouted in sync, in a voice that I knew was a complete cover up for something.

“Nice try, but—“

“I think its time we leave, H.” Greyson chuckled, grabbing my arm and pulling me into him, “Big school day tomorrow and all.”

“Its not even late—“

“Bye babe!” Rhys cut in, pecking his boyfriend’s lips before turning to me, “Bye Harry! I’ll try to stop by your room tomorrow so we can walk the campus together.”

“O-Okay…” I muttered, looking at him with wide eyes as he began to walk away.

“What was—“

“I don’t know, lets head back to our dorm!” Greyson laughed nervously, tugging me along in the direction of our building.

It didn’t take long for me to feel the familiar feeling of certain eyes burning holes in the back of my head. I wouldn’t let myself turn around to see their faces though. I think I already have a pretty good idea of who it is…
