The talk I had with Ivory definitely helped me a lot, as it helped me make up my mind as to where I stood with the whole Aiden situation. Walking to school, I kept my chin high, confidence coursing through me. I was not a little girl Aiden could just manipulate into thinking what he wanted me to think. I could make up my own decisions, and I was going to show him that.
First period started, and this one I shared with... no one? I scanned the room, looking for any of the guys but none of them were there. Aren't Noah and Parker supposed to be here?
Class was boring as usual, but I found myself being able to concentrate more on what I was hearing. This time I was sure of myself and sure of where Aiden stood, so I didn't have to try and guess what he wanted and what he didn't.
It was finally lunchtime and I was as excited as ever to finally get some food In my system. Needless to say- I was hungry. But for once, food wasn't the only thing I was excited about. It was my time to mess with Aiden.  He's been tormenting me since he came back, it was finally my turn. At the same time, though, I was nervous to see my friends after so long of not speaking to them.
I reached the cafeteria and looked around, it wasn't long before Ivory found me and waved at me like crazy. "Over here girl!" she said and I smiled, moving towards her, making Aiden's head snap my way, his eyes lingering on me. She enveloped in me a tight hug, and I giggled, before greeting her, "Hey you".
Ivory released me from her death grip, Jagger being the first to greet me next, beating Bailey to the punch and messing up my hair "Where have you been!" he laughed and hugged me as well, a hug I very much had missed. "Missed your ass, dude" he said in my hair and I nodded "Missed you too J". Bailey came next, then Noah and Maya. Aiden looked at me expectantly, and in his eyes I could see that he was waiting for me to make a move to go hug him, but I simply waved and turned my attention back to my friends.
"I believe we have a lot to talk about" I started and they all nodded, taking a seat. Maya seemed a bit confused as she was the one less informed about the whole situation, but she stayed quiet, letting us get to it as she knew how much it had affected the group. No one spoke, they were all hanging from my lips, waiting for my next word and if I'm being honest it felt good. I was the last person whose words they took into consideration and for the first time, I had control.
"I want us to be okay and I want to have you guys as my friends but I can't do that if all you do is lie." I barely got a sentence in before all of their mouths opened to protest, but I cut them off, already knowing what they wanted to say. "I know, you did it for my safety and all you wanted was to protect me, I've heard that more times than I can count. Thing is, as much as I appreciate your efforts to protect me, I find it extremely unfair that whatever is going on it, my name is involved but I have no say in it, nor am I allowed to know more about it. Whenever I speak to you guys there are things you know about, that I don't and it's a collective thing, so I feel really, and I mean really fucking stupid"
They all nodded and I felt like we were having some sort of team meeting after an unsuccessful game and I was the coach letting everyone know what they did wrong. Aiden had his arms crossed over his chest, listening to me intensively while Jagger was looking down at his arms.
No one took the lead to speak so I took that as my queue to continue. "I understand things took a turn and things aren't going very smoothly so you all tried to do what felt like the best to do, but in the process of it all I felt completely useless, It was like I was some damsel in distress that's so stupid that can't handle the truth and needs people to get things done for her. So either you come clean now and tell me what's happening or I think we're done here." I explained.
They all looked around at each other, some even coughing awkwardly. Aiden spoke first, his voice low "I think I should be the one to do that, considering I got them into this" he suggested. I simply nodded "Will you?" I asked, our eyes locking. "Soon" he replied and even though the answer wasn't exactly satisfying I let the subject go. I didn't want to speak to him much more anyway.

The day went by, with Bailey trying to speak to me multiple times about what happened at my house the last time we spoke. We took to the bleachers as it was the only place we could speak more privately.
"I know how you must feel, I mean, I understand that you came to me looking for advice thinking we were on the same page and finding out I was sharing secrets with Aiden... let's say I wouldn't be too happy either" she explained herself, continuing to tell me that she hadn't told me anything because it wasn't her place to tell me, and that she only hoped that Aiden would get his head out of his ass soon and tell me what's happening.
I told her a bit of what had went on during the time I had been away from them, avoiding to mention that I went to Ivory's place and told her everything, because I knew she would think it was a bad idea and proceed to tell me all the reasons why I should've done it. I already knew the 'risks' of telling her, but she was my best friend, she wouldn't use them against me, she never has. I think she's just misunderstood.
It was time to go home, and to make things even better for me, Jagger offered to give us all a ride home, meaning I'd be dropped off with Aiden, something I wasn't very excited about. We reached mine and Aiden's houses and right before we got off, Ivory came to my rescue, reminding me of the notes she wanted to borrow. The remaining five (Jagger, Bailey, Aiden, Ivory, and me) of us all ended up getting off the car. I said my goodbye's with the guys and thanked Jagger for the ride home, turning on my heel to get in my place with Ivory when I noticed someone was sitting on my front porch.
I squinted my eyes as I wasn't able to understand who it was from the first glance, but taking a step forward I realized it was... "Bryan?!" I screamed and ran to him, which made him laugh and get up to greet me "Sup Hayes" he opened his eyes wide and welcomed me in a tight hug. After a few seconds we both let go, giving me the chance to hit him on the shoulder.
"Where have you been?" I asked, excited beyond the moon to see him. Bryan had moved out of town a few months ago, as his mom had to get an important surgery in California, and because the bills had to be paid he had gotten a job there and they made their life in Cali, so I didn't expect to see him here.
"Mom is doing good so we're back baby" he said, happily and my mouth fell open, hands covering it "That's so good, I'm so happy for you, dude!" I told him, and heard various coughs from behind me, a deep frown on Aiden's face. Bailey took the lead "Eve, care to introduce us to your...um...friend?" she said and I nodded, taking Bryan by the hand to go closer to my friends. "Right, right sorry guys... this is Bryan, he used to go to our school for a while" I said and Bailey nodded, realization flashing across her face. "Wait I remember you, you were in some of our classes" she said and he nodded.
Aiden's eyes were trained on him, the frown never leaving his face and his head tilted to the side a bit. "What did you say your name was again?" he asked, and Bryan turned to look at him, face paling up a bit when he saw him. Maybe if he didn't look like he constantly wanted to beat up everyone around him he would make more friends. "Bryan" he spoke. "Bryan?" Aiden repeated, frown deepening. "Is there anything wrong with that name?" Bryan questioned, looking around awkwardly and chuckling. Aiden thought about it for a second before replying "No, no, I guess I thought you were someone else" he justified his stance and I shook my head.
"Okay... well we should get going, I need to check if Cole picked up Jason from grandma, he keeps forgetting to" I told Ivory. "Cole's home?" she asked me and I nodded, as she proceeded to tell Jagger she'd walk home instead as to not make them wait for her. Ivory and I headed home after Bryan hugged me goodbye and gave me his number to call sometime, something I promised to do. I was glad to see Aiden's reaction, who seemed as salty as ever to see that. Evelyn - Aiden: 1-0.
I walked inside with Ivory, and we saw Cole making lunch in the kitchen "I'm back" I yelled and closed the door. "Shocker" he teased, looking through the fridge. He turned to face us "Oh, hey Ivory" he greeted her and she waved, giving him a smile. "Will you join us for lunch?" he asked her, and she shook her head "I just came to pick up some notes for school, maybe another time?" she suggested and Cole nodded "Sure thing, you're always welcome".
"Did you pick up Jason?" I asked him, frowning as I couldn't hear noise from upstairs. "Yup, he ate and went straight to bed" he laughed, and I joined him "Someone overate" I teased and he nodded.
Ivory and I headed upstairs and took a seat on my chair, turning around in circles. "So this Bryan guy seems to have heart eyes for you girl... are we going to use the number?" she asked suggestively, wiggling her eyebrows at me. I laughed and shook my head, dropping my bag on the floor and moving to my drawers to find the notes she needed.
"I mean I will call him but I don't think I want to take this anywhere... we had fun when he was here but nothing was more than friendly feelings involved..." I explained. "But did you see Aiden though? I could tell he was getting jealous, I mean did you see how he looked at Bryan?" I told her and I could feel my cheeks heating up at the thought of Aiden getting jealous.
"Jealous, huh? Could be" she shrugged it off and started playing with a bouncy ball I had on my desk, instantly reminding me of the night Aiden was in her position, doing the same thing. "What else could it have been?" I asked, finally finding the notes. "I don't know, I'm just saying it's Aiden, he could just be acting like... Aiden."
I opened my mouth to say something but was interrupted when my phone started ringing. It was Cole, calling to tell me that Jason was looking for me and that I should go check on him. Of course he wouldn't interrupt his precious lunch to come up and tell me that. Oh, how alike we are.
"Give me one sec, I need to make sure my brother isn't burning the house down" I told her and took for the door, but she stopped me "Actually I was just leaving if you don't need me, mom said I can't be late... again." she scratched the back of her neck, and I winced, remembering what happened the last time she didn't listen to miss Davis.
Before I could reply, Jason was heard calling for me "Go see if his room is still standing, I know the way to the door" she laughed and I nodded "Thanks for the notes, by the way, you're a lifesaver" she hugged me and I giggled "Anything for you, girl". She let go and winked at me, before heading downstairs.
"Text me when you get home!" I yelled and headed for Jason's room.

I'm really excited and I've already started working on it but I need your help to pick some of the characters. Last time I asked for help you filthy little monsters didn't respond, but I'm making it easier this time.
For Aiden I'm battling between Stephen James *this is wattpad biatch*, Ash Stymest and Colton Haynes. (Of course if you have someone else in mind feel free to tell me). Which one do you guys vote for?
For Evelyn, I'm thinking Lily Collins (using her role in Mortal Instruments for reference), though I'm not sure yet. What's ur take?
The rest of the characters were easier to find so y'all will have to wait and see, but I can't decide when it comes to these two :/
