Storm's Pov
Ollie took me back to the house after Artemis left. He drops on the couch, picks up the remote and sighs. I watch him in silence waiting for him to explain what just happened but he ignores me.
"Aren't you going to explain what just happened?"
"You never asked." He deadpans switching from channel to channel.
Throwing my hands up in frustration I scowl at him. "Well I'm asking now what just happened and what the fuck are rogues and what barriers are they trying to break?"
"You're just full of questions toady aren't you." He mutters and the scowl on my face deepens. "Fine I'll tell you. Rogues are wolves who a) Committed an offence to their pack causing their banishment b) they left their pack on their own free will or c) they pissed off someone and had their ass handed to them." He explains and I frown.
"Uh what?"
He groans switching of the TV and facing me. "In simple terms they are pricks well most of them and the barrier thing you heard well let's just say a witch created a form of spell around the pack shielding us from outsiders but it seems the rogues have figured out a way to break through it." He murmurs that the last part.
"What kind of spell?"
"It's like an invisibility spell. Remember how when I brought you here you couldn't find the place?" I nod my head at him. "Well that's because of the spell. If a human walked through those they basically we'll go back to wherever it is they started from." He explains.
I furrow my brows at him. "How come it didn't happen to me?"
"Because you were with me and Artemis in a way made it visible for you well she made it visible for her mate in case he found her. That's why the first night when you were with the chick you were able to pass through it." He says shrugging before lying on his back staring at the ceiling.
"So why did Artemis leave?" I ask again and he groans.
"Seriously dude, she's the Alpha it's her duty to protect the pack now quit your whining and let's do something fun." He says grinning at me. I roll my eyes but comply to him.
"What do you have in mind?"
Smirking at me he points outside. "Ever seen a wolf before?" I shake my head wondering where he is going with it. "Well do you wanna see mine?" He suggests wiggling his brow at me.
"Am I supposed to?" I ask in curiosity but he smiles at me.
"Technically Artemis warned us not to transform in front of you yet or when you're around in general. Usually when you come to the training grounds you'll see others fighting in their wolf form but she mind linked them not to transform because someone was coming." He states walking towards the front door.
"Then why are you going to do it then?" I ask raising my brow at him.
Giving me a smug look he starts taking of his shirt. "Well if you haven't noticed I'm kinda of a rebel around here."
Crossing my arms in front of me I regard him with a cool look. " I did notice but aren't you meant to be the responsible one since you're the beta and all."
"Well yes but I have my moments and besides Selena and Artemis have that covered. I bring the spice to the meal." He says removing his shorts as well.
"Uh mind telling me why you're undressing?"
"Well I don't want my clothes to get torn into pieces." He mutters giving me a duh look and I purse my lips in a thin line. He rolls his shoulder and smirks at me.
"Wait!" I rush out panicking slightly.
He freezes and looks at me. "What?"
"You aren't going to eat me right?" I say feeling cautious all of a sudden.
He gives me the 'what the fuck' face and I shrug. "I'm not going to eat you. What the fuck do you think I am a freaking animal?" he snaps and I give him a pointed look.
He rolls his eyes at me. "I'm not now shush and let me show you before Artemis gets here." I nod my head slowly at him and the he smirks again. He growls lowly and the sound of bones snapping catches my attention. My jaw drops as I watch his bones reshapes itself and suddenly a large wolf stands right in front of me.
"Mother fucking bitch!!" I shriek and jump back when the wolf snarls and takes a step forward. Closing my eyes I start saying my last prayers knowing very well I'm gonna die. Fuck and I haven't even done Netflix and Chill with Artemis. This is bad so horribly bad, I'm gonna fucking die. I shake in fright waiting for the horrible death but nothing happens. I open one eye, when nothing happens I open my other eye and it widens when I see the wolf sitting in front of me with his head bowed.
"Ollie you sonofabitch." I mutter under my breath and the wolf snorts at me. I narrow my eyes at the creature. "You think it's funny don't you?" The wolf does what I think is a shrug but fuck it if I know. I use that time to watch it and I hate to admit but it's beautiful. The wind rustles it's black and white fur, blue eyes analyze my every move as I walk towards it. Low growls rumble from within as it bares it's sharp teeth at me.
"Wow, so you have this thing in you?" the wolf nods the head at me still watching me. "Wait a minute you understand what I'm saying?" I exclaim and it rolls the eyes at me. It gets up and I visibly shrink from the size, sitting down I didn't realize how big and tall it was but now that it's standing I definitely feel like an ant. I hear bones snapping again and this time a naked Ollie stands in front of me grinning.
"We're not in a freaking nude club. Put your fucking clothes on." I snap and he chuckles at me.
"It's safe now." He says and I open my eyes and sigh in relief when I realise he is fully clothed.
"Where did your boxers go?" I grunt and he smirks. He points to the pile of shredded clothes on the ground and my mouth forms an 'oh'.
"Artemis is on her way that's why I had to transform back." He explains and we go back inside.
"Your wolf is huge." I mutter and he nods in agreement. "Is every werewolf large?"
"No not really, it depends on your ranking actually. The higher the rank the larger the wolf. Selena's wolf is smaller compared to mine and Artemis but fairly larger than others. Damien, the jerk you met yeah his wolf is more defined, more threatening because of his position as the head warrior." He explains opening the fridge and taking a bottle of water.
"Wait what about Artemis?" I ask.
Smirking at me he brings the bottle to his mouth taking a gulp before answering me."Guess you'll have to wait and see now won't you."
I scowl at him when the door opens and Artemis rushes in with a cold look on her face but relaxes when she sees me. I frown at how tensed she looks, she paces around in the kitchen muttering things under her breath as Ollie and I stare at her.
"What happened?" Ollie asks and she raises her head to glare at him. He raises his hand is surrender staring at her innocently. "I was just asking." he mutters and Artemis groans, releasing her hair from the ponytail and running her fingers through them.
"Ollie." Artemis says and his mood switches completely.
"Yes Alpha." He retorts seriously and I stare at him in surprise. Gone is the goofy, annoying, I'm gonna cause trouble guy and now is the serious Ollie. Talk about a complete one eighty of character.
"Double the border patrol and also call Alex the Alpha of Rogues. Tell him to get his butt of his throne and set up a meeting because I'll be visiting him in two days time. And while you're at it bring Esme-
"Nope not happening." Ollie cuts her off.
"Ollie I don't have time for this." Artemis drawls out but he doesn't budge. Who the fuck is Esme.
"Neither do I. Let Selena do it."
"Selena is taking care of other things." She says but he shrugs.
"Not my problem. Let Cole do it or maybe someone that is not me." He bargains but Artemis gives him a flat look.
"You know she'll only listen to you, if you just-"
"And I said no." He states bluntly.
"That's an order Ollie!" Artemis snaps and Ollie bows his head.
"Yes Alpha." He says raising his head and narrowing his eyes at Artemis. "I'll get you for that."
"I don't doubt it." She replies. He grumbles under his breath and leaves the kitchen. Artemis plops down on the chairs and sighs rubbing her temples.
"What happened out there?" I ask feeling concerned.
"You're on break in college right?" She asks suddenly and I nod frowning at where she is going with this. "Your friends are they still at the apartment?" She asks.
"Yeah. Why?"
"Let's go and see them." She says getting up. I grab her wrist stopping her from going any further.
I pull her closer to me wrapping my arm around her waist as I use the other to cup her cheeks, staring into her violet eyes intensely. Her body relaxes in my hold as she leans into my touch sighing deeply.
"You smell so good." She whispers.
"Artemis what's going on?" I whisper.
"Trust me okay, Storm just trust me." I frown at the tone of her voice but nod my head deciding to drop the matter. She sighs and kisses my cheek. She pulls away and grabs the keys from one of the drawers. She unlocks the back door and we walk to what I can assume is a garage. She presses a button on the side and the doors open revealing two cars and a motorcycle?
I stare at her in shock and she blushes covering her face with her hair.
"Woah Artemis you keep on impressing me." I mutter appreciating what I'm seeing. I grab the keys from her and press the button, the range beeps and I wink at her. She giggles heading towards the car and I smile at her. She stops me from moving forward.
"Let me drive us and when we get to the main street you can take over." She suggests and I nod. Entering the car, I breathe in the new car smell, that's the stuff. I feel eyes on me and I turn to see Artemis staring at me amusingly.
"It smells new."
"Yeah, I've never used it though. It's been sitting in here for some time now." She says turning the car on and backing out from the garage. It doesn't take long till we hit the road and switching drivers. It's been a dream of mine to drive one of these and now all I can say is dreams do come true.
My apartment comes into view and I pack the car, turning it off and staring at Artemis.
"Erm why are you staring?" She asks scrunching her nose in confusion and I grin at her.
"Wait here." I tell her and she nods her head still looking confused. I open my door and walk over to her side. Opening her door, I stretch out my hand towards her smiling cheekily at her. " M' lady."
She rolls her at me but plays along placing her hand in mine. "Why thank you kind sir." She replies in a British accent that has me laughing.
"Yeah you need to work on your accent." I tease her and she slaps my arm.
"You're one to talk Storm." She retorts and I wink at her. I intertwine our fingers and she glances down staring at it before looking at me and blushing.
I squeeze her hand gently rubbing the pads of my thumb on it. "Have I ever told you how much I love it when you blush?"
This causes her to even blush more."Stop it Storm and I hate it when I blush." she mutters and I smirk at her.
"Well I love it so be prepared to have your cheeks on fire." She groans but doesn't say anything and I pull her to the building, opening the door for her and greeting the pervert at the lobby. He really is a pervert and I know this because I once caught him staring through the window of one the apartments when a girl was dressing up.
"He was staring at my butt." Artemis says when we enter the elevator.
"I can go and beat him up for you." I offer and she laughs at me.
"I don't think you have it in you, you're kinda of tiny." She replies with a teasing smile and I gasp at her.
"I am definitely not tiny." I say giving a pointed look to my crotch. She blushes again and I smirk at her flustered face.
"I didn't mean it that way and besides any guy who claims he is not tiny well ends being tiny." She fires back, winking at me when the elevator suddenly stops and she walks out. My jaw drops as I stare at her retreating figure.
Chasing after her I grab her wrist and push her against the wall trapping her with my body as I lean closer to stare into her eyes. "Take that back." I whisper
She presses her lips together shaking her head at me as she tries to wiggle her way out. I lean closer trailing my nose along the skin of cheeks lightly and she shivers, arching her back so her body touches mine. I bring my lips closer to her ear and gently bite on her earlobe, she wraps her arms around my neck as she whispers my name and I smirk to myself.
"I guess I'll have to show you then." I whisper in her ear moving back to stare into her eyes. My mouth becomes dry when those violet eyes stare at me with a hooded expression.
"Storm." She whispers and I groan leaning my forehead on hers as our nose brushes. Heat rushes through my body and I clench my jaw to reign in the little self control I have but it flies out the window when she tugs on my hair.
Fuck it!
"So are you guys going to hump against the wall or something?" A familiar voice suddenly says and I close my eyes taking deep breaths as I think of different ways to commit murder and not go to jail for it. Artemis giggles and when I stare into her eyes they are green. I pull back and glare at the smug look on Jay's face.
"Fuck you." I mutter and he smirks at me wiggling his brow suggestively at me.
"Sorry bro but I'm not into threesome although I wouldn't mind if it's her." He purrs winking at Artemis who giggles. I give him a flat look and he chuckles at me.
"What are you even doing here?" I ask and he shrugs leaning on the door.
"I heard noises so I decided to come check it out and what do you know I find this. Although I must congratulate you for disappearing alone in the night and reappearing with a girl on your arm." He says checking Artemis out and I stand in front of her obscuring his view.
"I'm right here asshole." I snap and he winks at me. "Besides it's Artemis anyway."
His eyes widen and he stands up straight running his fingers through his hair and straightening the crumpled shirt he is wearing. Artemis moves to stand beside me and Jay smiles at her.
"Hi Artemis." He says charmingly and she laughs at him.
"Hi Jay. It's nice to see you again but I didn't come with Selena." The smiles on his face drops and he slouches.
"Damn it!" He grumbles and walks back inside the apartment leaving the door open. I turn to Artemis who shrugs at me.
Bending down slightly, I wrap my arms around her waist and whisper in her ears. "We'll finish this later." She bits her lips and nods her head.
Or you can ditch your friends and take her to go.
I shake the thought from my mind and grin at her. Closing the apartment door behind us I stare at Artemis as she takes in everything around.
"Do you like it?" I ask her feeling nervous about what she's going to say. I mean it's not fancy like her house. She brings her gaze to me and smiles.
"It's lovely." She replies and I sigh in relief. Jay lies on the couch texting on his phone and I frown at him.
"Where's Lyle?" He glances in my direction briefly and smirks before looking at his phone again. I purse my lips at him and roll my eyes when he ignores me. Grabbing Artemis wrist I take her to my room.
"Uh Storm I think it's best if we wait in the living room with Jay." Artemis mutters grabbing my hand and tugging me away from my room.
I stare at her in confusion, "I want to show you my room so let's go." And I tug on her hand.
"I really think it's best if you don't." She says through clenched teeth tugging on my hand again.
Laughing at how nervous she looks. "I promise I won't do anything to you if that's what you're worried about." Before she can protest anymore I quickly pull her and grab the handle opening my door.
"WHAT THE FUCK!!!!" I scream.
