Storm's Pov

Life at the pack is honestly going great so far. It's been two and a half weeks since my time here and during that period I have honestly learnt a lot. I would like to say I've gotten used to this life but that will be a horrible lie on my part.

Artemis after that night had been acting a bit different but I understood why she was behaving that way, although I wish she hadn't been distant for a week but things are back to normal, well as normal as being a human amongst werewolves could be.

Like I was saying I've gotten to know a lot of things during my time here, for instance I learnt about something known as a mind link where they are able to talk to each other telepathically when in human and wolf form.

The first time it happened was when I was with Selena, she was showing me the inside of the pack hospital and all of a sudden her eyes fogged up, she blanked out and it scared the crap out of me. When she came back to normal, I told her about what I saw and she chuckled explaining that was basically Artemis mind linking her because she wanted her to bring me to the pack house so we could have lunch together.

Being a werewolf sounds fun, I mean when you think about it, there are so many amazing qualities. Like the shifting, the strength, the mind link and oh one thing too their ability to heal fast. I wish I had those especially the link thing then I wouldn't have much of an issue if I wanted to talk to someone during an exam.

Today is different though because usually I'm either with Artemis at the pack house or Selena is showing me something new or I'm at the house doing nothing and staring at the tv till she comes but today I'm with Ollie and well he decided to take me to the training grounds.

"Why do I have to go there? I've already seen it." I whine kicking the stone in my path lightly as I push my hair from my face. He gives me a bored look shrugging.

"You've been with the girls too much, it's time to join the men." He says grinning at me and I roll my eyes scoffing under my breath.

"The real reason." I deadpan and he sighs, stopping abruptly and turning to face me.

"You need to learn how to fight if you're gonna be an Alpha of werewolves."

I scowl. " I know how to fight thank you very much.

He raises his brow at me, a bored look on his face as his eyes run over my frame snorting in the process. "You might have a large body but that is not going to help you if you're against wolves. Fighting against another human, I'll definitely say you've got a chance but fighting a werewolf that's different because they are stronger and much faster than you could ever be so yes you need to train."

I purse my lips staring at him as I consider it. He does have a point though, I don't think I have the requirements of actually beating one of them and if I want to protect Artemis then I guess its needed.

"Fine." I mutter begrudgingly and he grins widely clapping his hands together.

It doesn't take long before we get to the training grounds and just like the first time, I'm left in awe about how they are able to move so swift. When we approach, they stop training, bowing and ignoring us once again.

"So where am I supposed to go?" I ask Ollie after some time when we pass by the archers, the weapons, and those practicing by themselves. Looking around, I freeze on the spot, my eyes landing on two familiar figures. Well I think they are familiar but with how fast they are moving I can't tell.

"Cute aren't they?" Ollie questions by my side and I turn, giving him a weird look. He meets my eyes, blinking once, twice before clearing his throat, looking around as he whistles and I raise my brow at him.

"Is that Damien and Samaria?" I ask pointing to them, ignoring his weird behavior.

He chuckles, nodding his head as he places his hand on his waist. "Yeah, they are pretty much one of the best warriors we have here." He says, chest puffing out as he watches them with pride.

Bringing my gaze back to them, I tilt my head in curiosity watching their movements and the way they fight. They stare at each other waiting for the other to make the first move and Samaria does taking the first swing as Damien leans back dodging her right fist and bringing his right hand that was clasped behind his back to her ribs but she sees it early, grabbing his wrist, turning herself around with her left feet placed between his legs as she flips him over her shoulder.

Damien falls to the ground, using that opportunity to swipe his leg under her feet and moving out of the way just in time before she falls on him.

The blank look on his face doesn't change as he gets into a fighting position. Samaria huffs, blowing the strands of her blonde hair from her face as she clenches her jaw. Damien observes her for a few moments and when he realizes she is not going to be on the offense, he steps forward throwing coordinated punches at her, each one faster and precise than the other and Samaria expertly dodges them arms in front of her face and leans her hips back when Damien makes a move to kick her stomach.

Using that point of distraction she steps to her right moving from his way, landing a swift punch to his left side as she turns around and does a back kick. The force pushes Damien forward and he rolls over, landing on his side.

She smirks, a look of triumph on her face as she points to him. "You're getting slow old man." She taunts a smug look on her face. Damien doesn't say anything but raises his brow at her and does the most shocking thing.

He smirks.

Apparently I'm not the only one surprised because Samaria freezes staring at him with wide blue eyes.

The actions that followed after that all happened in a span of one minute and I would have missed it if I hadn't been so into it.

Catching her off guard as he moves fast grabbing her arm, twisting it behind her back. She gasps bringing her elbow behind her but he moves just it time before it hits his face and he grabs the other arm bringing it behind her back as well but he let's go immediately bringing his fist to her back.

She grunts stumbling forward but he moves to her front, kicking her in the gut and just when she's about to fall, he grabs her arm flipping her over his shoulder and finally bringing his feet to her ribs.

The impact of it sends her across the mat and I stare in horror as her back hits the tree closest  to her and she drops gasping for air.

"Classic Damien." Ollie chuckles and my jaw drops as I stare at them in shock. Samaria groans, rolling over and lying on her back as she tries to gasp for air, face scrunching in pain as she coughs violently in the process. Damien takes slow steps to her, tilting his head to the side as he observes her the blank look back on his face.

"You did good kid." He mutters and stretches his hand towards her. She looks at it for a minute before grabbing it. He lifts her up but she yelps in pain grabbing her ribs and Damien purses his lips at her.

"I think you finally broke my ribs." She murmurs jokingly and he frowns raising her shirt. I watch the black and purple bruise formed on her ribs and my breath hitches in my throat as I bring my hand to my side rubbing it gently.

That looks so painful.

"If it was you, you would have more than a broken rib." Ollie mutters and I stare at him in shock.

He looks at me from head to toe nodding his head as if he just made a discovery. "Yup more than a broken rib, maybe a concussion, fractured lungs, dislocated spine, brain damage. I mean the list is endless." He muses laughing to himself and my face pales.

I look back at them to see Samaria frozen in place as he observes her ribs rubbing his fingers lightly across it and she flinches. He frowns, moving his hand as he stands up staring at her face.

"Your face is red." He states bluntly and Samaria's mouth drops in surprise, blushing even more when he brings his palm to her forehead.

"I-I- uh..." She stammers.

Ollie snorts, cupping his mouth. "Hey Damien! I think you should carry her to the hospital!" He yells and her eyes widen as she starts shaking her head stepping back from him.

"I really don't think it's necessary." She protest but he ignores her stepping forward and lifting her up in his arms, she yelps in surprise quickly closing her eyes shut as she wraps her arm tightly around his neck.

He grunts, adjusting her well in his arms as he walks past us. "You're squeezing too tight." He mutters staring at her with a passive expression and she blushes looking forward.

"Uh right sorry." She mumbles losing her hold and he grunts again. Ollie chuckles at them, grabbing my wrist and finally pulling me away. We appear at another opening, the tall grass surrounding us and from afar I see two people lying on their backs as they stare at the blue sky.

"Those son of a bitches are so going to get it." Ollie mutters under his breath glaring at them.

I furrow my brows in confusion. "Who are those?"

"My brothers and they are supposed to be in school by now, guess it's another hundred laps for them." He snaps walking towards them as quietly as possible and I follow his lead trying not to make any sounds.

When he gets closer, I realize their eyes are closed a peaceful smile on their face and Ollie scoffs. He towers over them, basically shielding the sunlight from their face and the smile slowly drops as a frown takes place.

"Axel." Justin groans. "I've warned you several times that I'm not your bed." He snaps swatting the air.

"I'm not sleeping on top of you idiot." Axel grumbles and Justin frowns eyes still closed.

"Then if you're not why is the sun..... wait, do you smell that?" He mutters sniffing the air around him and Axel does the same. I watch in silence as a blank look overtakes their face, their body tensing up as they slowly open their eyes.

"Surprise! Surprise bitches." Ollie grins wiggling his fingers at them. They get up quickly making a run for it and Ollie rolls his eyes at them shaking his head. "As if that ever worked out." And chases after them cutting them off abruptly and they trip over their own feets, falling flat on their face.

An unimpressed look on his face as he stares at his brothers. "You would think after all the training, you guys would be faster by now but nope you still suck." He says shaking his head and pulling them up to their feet by their collars.

They struggle against him, whining and protesting but he ignores them stopping right in front of me and dropping them. Axel huffs straightening his collar and scowling at his brother.

"What the heck!" He snaps and Ollie shrugs pointing at them.

"I really don't get why you skip school but since you're here might as well do another hundred."

They open their mouth to protest and Ollie fixes them a hard glare that shuts them up. They start taking of their shirt and Ollie smacks their head jerking his thumb towards me. "No shifting."

Justin scowls but still takes his shirt off leaving him in just his shorts. "First of all ouch." He snaps rubbing the back of his head. " And secondly the weather is hot and I'm not going to shift." And with that starts running.

"You weren't supposed to be here." Axel grumbles taking his shirt off but leaving the tank top on.

"Neither are you but here we are." Ollie retorts. "Follow him." Axel frowns, flipping him off as he quickly joins Justin and I stare at them amusingly.

"You must enjoy doing that." I tell him raising my brow at the smirk on his face.

He grins nodding his head. "Very much so. Now it's your turn."

My face becomes blank when he says that. "What?"

He rolls his eyes pointing to his brothers running round the field. "We need to get you warmed up and I want to see how fast you are so join them but go fifty."

My jaw drops as I openly stare at him. "You want me to go fifty around this place!"

He looks around nodding and I shake my head in disbelief. "You can't be serious." I mutter looking at the wideness of the field and staring back at Ollie.

"I'm dead serious, off you go." I look at him one last time waiting for him to change his mind but he just grabs a lollipop from his pocket, unwrapping it and placing it in his mouth as he jerks his head towards the side giving me blank look.

I huff, grumbling under my breath as I also join them. Don't know how long I have been running for but fuck my chest feels like its about to burst. I tried keeping up with Justin and Axel but their pace fucking sucked and the only person who was suffered was me.

"Storm!!! You're done!!" Ollie yells flapping his arms wildly at me and I gasp throwing myself on the ground as I try to catch my breath.

He comes closer looming over me, a cheeky grin on his face. "How do you feel?"

I show him my middle and he chuckles, throwing a water bottle at me. I grab it quickly uncapping it and chugging the water down and pouring some on my face and hair.

"Y-you're a-an asshole." I wheeze, thumping my chest as I glare at him.

"Don't be dramatic." He mutters rolling his eyes at me. "Come on you aren't done yet."

Sitting up, I push my wet hair from my face as I stare at him incredulously. "You're kidding right!"

He shakes his head grinning at me and I groan dropping back to the ground. "This is worse than the gym." Just then Axel and Justin drop by my side, sweating and equally out of breath.

"I hate you." Justin pants out licking his dry lips and Axel nods in agreement.

"Sound like a personal problem." Ollie mutters, grabbing my arm and pulling me up to my feet with no effort. He takes his phone out, looking at it before throwing it to Justin who sloppily catches it.

"It's 3pm. We're gonna work on your reflexes and then you're done." He says and I nod closing my eyes and taking deep breaths. "I want you to try and block as many punches as you can okay." He explains giving me a pointed look and I nod once again.

"And if possible try to get in as many as you can to me."

I scoff. "I think I can beat you." He smirks but doesn't say anything.

I bring my arm in front of me waiting for him to start and he stares at my feet chuckling under his breath and he moves well I think he did but it honestly looked like a blur, quickly throwing  a punch to my face.

My eyes widen and I lean back almost a bit late but not late enough for him to hit me.

That was so close.

"Not bad but still slow." He mutters and brings his fist to left side. The air gets knocked out of me when I feel his fist at my ribs, shutting my eyes tightly when it starts to throb.

Fuck that hurt.

He brings his leg to my right side and I block it with my hand moving out of the way just in time before he can uppercut me.

"Time out! time out!" I pant resting my palms on my knee as I try to catch my breath. We've being going on for almost an hour and half and so far I've gotten my ass handed to me. Ollie raises his brow standing back to his full height and nodding at me.

"You're good." He says patting my back and I shrug him off sitting on the ground.

"That didn't feel good." I grunt out wincing in pain from the throbbing on my whole body.

He rolls his eyes scoffing at me. "I didn't even hit you hard." I scoff raising my shirt as I glare at him.

"The bruises on my face and stomach say otherwise." I grunt and he purse his lips at me a pained look on his face.

"Yeah, let's not show this to Artemis." He mutters bending down to get a closer look.

Justin and Axel wince stepping back when the see my body. "Yeah Artemis will kill you." Axel says and they nod in agreement.

I groan dropping my shirt back down. I'm so hungry, sore and tired at this point. "Let's just go back."I murmur shutting my eyes tightly when I try to get up and pain flares up.

Taking deep breath, I try again and breathing out a sigh of relief when it dulls down. The sun sets behind the forest and the training grounds is practically empty when we get there. The sounds of birds chirping as the wind blows the trees with the sound of our footsteps on the twigs snapping in half can be heard.

"So what's it's like being a human?" Justin asks walking in step in with me and Axel gives me a curious look.

I raise my brow at them not sure on how to answer their question. "Normal?" and it sounds like a question than a statement and he rolls his eyes at me.

"It's got to be more than that." He presses on giving me an expectant look and I shrug.

"It's normal, no super strength, no wolf just normal." He frowns staring at the ground deep in thought.

"That sounds boring." Axel says and I glare at him.

"No it doesn't." I snap and he raise his brow a taunting look on his face.

"Yes it does."

"No it doesn't!"

"Yes it-

"Shut up!" Ollie snaps cutting both of us off as he looks around, body tensed up and eyes alert.

"Why what's-mmmmff." He covers Justin's mouth with his palm glaring at him as he brings his fingers to his lips. He sniffs the air his eyes glowing and he snaps his eyes to Axel's direction, his chest vibrating from the low growl escaping from him.

The sound of twigs snapping from that direction grabs our attention and he moves to stand protectively in front of me. I roll my eyes stepping to the side, freezing on the spot when I see six wolves stepping out from behind the trees.

Black eyes staring at eyes, foam forming at their mouth as they growl and snarl taking slow steps to us. My breath hitches in my throat and I close my eyes tightly opening them again when I still find them there.

Well this is not a freaking dream that's for sure.

Ollie growls narrowing his eyes when a black wolf steps forward, hazel eyes staring as it snarls at us. "Leave before you regret it." Ollie says in a calm voice but they snap their teeth at him stepping forward again.

"Justin, Axel. Go and get Artemis." He says not looking back to see if they are listening,  eyes still fixed on them.

Justin growls. "No can't do brother." His eyes sharp and alert as he glares at him the wolf.

Ollie snaps his gaze to them glaring at them with electric blue eyes. "I wasn't fucking asking now go!"

They whimper, reluctantly turning around and immediately shifting but I'm too stunned to even care about that.

"Fucking Artemis picked the wrong day to shut her link off." He mumbles frowning before snapping his eyes to me. "Storm." Ollie drawls out taking a step forward as he glares at the brown wolf snapping it's jaw at us. "When I say run, you run and don't you dare look back."

I frown. "But-

"Not today buddy." He says winking at me and I purse my lips at him before nodding my head. He stares at me one last time before nodding his head looking at them, a cocky smirk on his face. "Which of you mutts want to go first."

He looks around pointing to a grey wolf. "You." It's growls and Ollie grins looking around again ."Maybe you." He points to another grey wolf but with black patches. "I don't even care but what I do care is the witch telling us it's gonna hold for at least two months but fuck here we are three weeks after she says that." He sighs shaking his head before smirking again.

The Black wolf howls and they run heading straight for us.

"Run!!" Ollie yells and without thinking I turn but not before seeing Ollie shift grabbing the grey wolf with the black patches by the neck, digging it's teeth into it and biting it's head off, spitting it out of his mouth.

Holy mother of fuck!!

I run as fast as my legs can carry me even when my muscles protest but I push on when I hear growls from behind me. There is no fucking way I can outrun a wolf.

Don't look back Storm, don't look back! That's how people trip in the horror movies because they freaking looked- oh fuck it I looked back and my eyes widen in shock when I see three of them behind me with three more joining as they come, jumping over roots and logs in their path.

The black wolf faster than all of them, a murderous look in it's eyes as it gains on me. At this point I don't even know where I'm heading too but I don't care because it's my ass on the line literally I can feel the warm breath of the wolf on my ass.

Slapping branches from my face as I try to make it easier for me to run but life sucks and I trip over a fallen branch rolling over before hitting my back against a tree.

The amount of adrenaline rushing through my body doesn't even allow me to rest as I quickly move out of the way when a brown wolf leaps at me, crashing his head against the tree in the process. The impact causing a crack and I watch as it falls limp to the ground.

I gulp staring at the five in front of me raising my hands in surrender as they take threatening steps, snapping their jaws at me as they snarl.

"I'm really not tasty, my flesh has a lot of salt so I doubt you'd like it." I mutter staring at them and a blonde wolf does what I think is a snicker, as its blue eyes stare at me.

The black wolf snarls at him and he whimpers lowering his head down. He pushes forward and the others follow, my heart rate quickens and I look around searching for anything until I find a huge stick swinging it just in time before the black wolf bites me.

He whimpers, shaking it's head as it staggers from side to side and I smirk looking at the stick in my hand.

"Well done buddy." But buddy fails me when I try to hit another one but catches it between it's teeth snapping it in half and growling at me as it swipes his paw at my chest causing me to fall when I escape it.

Brown wolf pounces on me, snapping its jaw in my face and I grab the neck pushing it away, a bit of the saliva dropping on my face and I shut my eyes tightly yelling out in pain when one clamps it's teeth on my leg. I grunt using the last bit of strength to kick his head, screaming in agony when it clamps even tighter.

I don't know how much longer I can hold on fuck I didn't even get to eat and now I'm gonna be dinner for someone else.

My muscles begin to protest and I feel the adrenaline slowly wearing of I struggle less and less against the wolf on top of me and the one on my leg, slowing drifting in and out of consciousness but freeze when a loud growl is heard.

"Hands of my mate!" A familiar voice snaps and somehow I'm able to see a hand grab the tail of the wolf on my leg, flinging across the forest and it howls hitting it's head against a rock. That same hand digs her fingers into the eyes of the wolf on me. It thrashes in her hold, swiping it's claw against my chest and I yell in pain, my shirt completely soaked with blood.

The person grabs the upper and lower jaw and basically ripping it out, punching her way through the chest and pulling it's heart out. She turns to me, a crazed look in her eyes as she kicks the wolf from my body and throwing the heart away, her face and hand covered in blood.

Artemis.

She stands  protectively in front of me eyes glowing between red and violet as she bares he teeth at them. It doesn't take long before I see a familiar black and white wolf speeding through the forest with other wolves behind him as he howls. He tackles the black wolf to the ground growling as it rips it's neck out, blood oozing from it and dropping the what I think is the throat, the mouth dripping with blood.

Artemis relaxes, dropping to the ground, shaky hands coming towards me but pulls back, a helpless look on her face. I cough, gasping for air and she finally cups my cheek softly wiping the blood from it.

"Don't kill the blonde wolf." I gasp out. She nods her head, looking around for a minute, her eyes landing on it backed against a tree and she tilts her head to the side and the blonde wolf drops to the ground falling unconscious.

What I think is our pack finishes of the rest and Artemis turns to look at me, gently raising my head and resting it on her laps as she strokes my hair softly.

"I'm so sorry." She whispers sadly tears falling from her eyes and I frown raising my hand to wipe it.

"Don't cry. I'm alright." She pouts shaking her head and strands of it fall on her face.

I smile at her tucking it behind her ear, cupping her cheeks and she nuzzles her face against it closing her eyes tightly and placing a kiss on it.

"I'm so sorry Storm but I'll fix you I promise." She murmurs quietly taking deeps breaths with her eyes still closed. I feel a surge of energy around me but I'm not too sure all I know is she's here.

"Open you eyes." I whisper and she does, violet eyes staring at me with sadness and brows pulled together as her eyes searches all over my face before moving to my leg. Her breath hitches in her throat and she growls narrowing her eyes at me leg.

"Burn them." She grits out clenching her fist as her eyes shift between red and violet and a chorus of 'yes Alpha' is heard.

I grab her chin taking her attention from my leg. "You should see the other guy, the tree and my buddy took them out." I tell her pointing to the broken stick and tree when she looks at me confusingly.

She presses her lips together. "Don't make me laugh Storm."

I wiggle my brow smirking at her and she rolls her eyes, Ollie appearing butt naked in front of us and I glare at him covering Artemis eyes.

"Where are your fucking clothes?!" I snap and he shrugs wiggling his waist in front of me.

I narrow my eyes at him and he smiles. "You handled yourself quite well and when I said run I freaking meant back to the house not the middle of freaking nowhere."

"Whatever." I mutter checking to make sure my palms are still firmly on her eyes. "Keep your eyes closed Artemis and why the fuck haven't I passed out yet."

"Artemis is giving you her energy but once she let's go well its goodnight for you." Ollie replies.

"Ollie I know you were the first person to shift when I asked you to take care of Storm."

Ollie's jaw drops in surprise, eyes staring wide at her. "B-but how... You know what I don't even wanna know." he mutters running his fingers through his hair.

"Shift and take Storm to the pack hospital, I'll meet you there."

"Anything else your highness." He mutters sarcastically and Artemis shrugs. He rolls his eyes, shifting into his black and white wolf, blue eyes staring at me and I smile.

I take my hand of her eyes and she turns looking for someone. "Damien!" She yells and he comes forward bowing at us. "Help Storm up, put him on Knox."

He nods coming to my side and with the help of Artemis they gently place me on the wolf's back. He stands to his full height titling his head to the side to stare at me and I grip it's fur in my hands resting my head against it's soft fur.

Artemis stands in front of him a stern look on her face. "No stopping to catch squirrels just straight to the hospital, okay Knox?"

Knox?

The wolf sticks it's tongue out nodding the head and Artemis rolls her eyes. "Ollie I know how you and Knox can get so if you mess up just know Red will pay you visit."

I'm guessing Knox is Ollie's wolf. It whimpers lowering it's eyes and Artemis smiles in satisfaction. She moves to me placing a gentle kiss on my forehead. " Sleep mate, I'll see you soon." And takes a step back when I nod at her.

She gives Knox one last pointed look and he huffs before taking off, riding on the back of a wolf would have being really enjoyable if I hadn't passed out the moment I felt the wind on my face.
