Storm's Pov
"Don't mom me here Storm. Where are you?"
I look around pursing my lips and Artemis stares at me worriedly. Well this is going to be tough to explain.
"I'm with someone." I mutter waiting for the onslaught of questions but it's quiet and I frown. "Mom are you-"
"Is it a girl?" She asks and I can hear the slight excitement in her voice. Glancing sideways, Artemis watches me with brows raised and I smile leaning forward to kiss her nose.
"Yeah it's a girl."
There are things that are expected in life and I should have seen it coming but when it was silent for almost a minute, I thought well this was my lucky day but nope.
She squeals loudly that even Artemis is forced to cover her ears and I have to pull the phone back to make sure my eardrums don't get destroyed.
"Oh my gosh!! Greyson!! Storm has gotten a new girlfriend!!!!" She says still squealing.
Wait, dad is around too?
"Summer! Stop hitting me!" He yells loudly. "Snow take your mother away."
What the heck? Is everyone one there?
"Mom! Mom! Stop okay." I say and she sighs giggling to herself.
"Oh my baby, what's her name? Can I talk to her?"
Pursing my lips, I bring my gaze to Artemis raising my brow in question and she furrows her brows wringing her fingers nervously in front of her. I take her hands in mine, giving it a light squeeze and she looks up smiling at me.
"Not today mom but she's called Artemis and you're gonna love her." I mutter gazing at her and she looks down blushing.
My mom coos softly and I hear my dad mutter something followed by 'ouch that hurt Summer'.
"But what are you doing in my apartment?" I question and she sighs.
"Sunny called us from the hospital saying Jace had been in an accident."
I blink. "Really?"
She hums in response. "Yeah and apparently he got beaten so bad that almost all his bones are broken, well I know they are all broken judging from the state he's in."
We didn't do that much damage right? I mean sure Ollie flipped the bed over, broke his nose, broke his jaw, crushed his balls, stepped on his fingers, dragged him down the stairs, flinged him in- okay so we did a lot of damage.
Artemis tugs on my shirt and I look up gulping. She cannot know what happened so better stay calm. "Who is Jace?" She mouths and I raise my finger signaling her to give me a minute.
"So how is he?"
"He's being in a coma for a month now and the doctors think it might take about a year for everything to be slightly normal."
"Well he deserved it anyway." Snow's voice mutters in the background and there's a smack followed. "Fuck mom- wait no!!! I didn't say fuck I----ouch!!!"
"Your mother is a bit busy right now." My dad's voice float through the phone and I sigh shaking my head. "I know you put the kid in the hospital."
Fuck! Don't even look at her.
"What?" I say in a high pitched voice, laughing nervously and my dad scoffs.
"It's fun seeing you try to act that way but I know everything. I know my son and the other day Snow came home with a bloody knuckles and a crying Sunny wearing a scarf around her neck."
Shit! Shit! Fucking abort!
"Since you know, let's not dwell on it any longer." I mutter still not looking at her but I can feel her glaring at the side of my head and I raise my hand tugging at the neckline of my shirt.
I'm sweating right now.
"If you think I'm mad, I'm not, just surprised you put him in a coma."
Yeah that was not me.
"I think the damage was on his jaw and nose. Fuck I don't think they will look the same after he wakes up."
Yeah that was me.
He sighs and I know he's frowning to himself but then he chuckles. "I trained my sons well."
I sigh in relief running my fingers through my hair but it's short lived when I remember the person sitting next to me. I really don't want to face her.
Should I be sad that Jace is going through that? No not really but am I terrified of Artemis right now? Fuck yes.
"That still doesn't explain why you're at my apartment?" I say, quickly changing the subject.
"Oh right. Since the hospital was around where you live, we thought we'd drop by and visit but since you're busy with a girl....." He trails off and I know he has a smirk on his face.
"It's not like that dad." I state flatly and he chuckles.
"Sure." He stretches out not believing a word and I groan. "Oh your mother is coming back."
There's a shuffling noise in the background until my mom huffs. "Storm we have to go back home but remember Christmas is in three weeks so you better come home and while you're at it, bring Artemis too. Okay honey?"
I nod my head. "Sure I'll let her know."
"Good." She says excitedly. "Well I'll see you later okay bye!" And hangs up.
I gulp staring at my screen. Please come back.
"Storm."
My heart skips a beat and I quickly rise to my feet running my fingers through my hair, raising my arms up and stretching myself. "We should head back."
"Storm."
"Well would you look at the time! Oops Lyle and Jay are waiting for me. See ya." And then I run heading straight for the pack house. Thank God for this ability because I know Artemis would have caught up soon enough and even though she's fast, I had a head start.
I enter the house nearly bumping into Ollie.
"Woah slow down." He mutters grabbing my shoulders and I shrug his hand off looking around frantically.
"We need to hide." I mutter taking the steps two at a time and he grabs my wrist stopping me.
A frown on his face. "Why?"
"Artemis found out." I whisper and the frown deepens.
"What did she--oh my Luna." He whispers, face paling and shoulders slumping in defeat before he looks up eyes widening. "Fuck!!! We can't hide here!" He rushes out and drags me out of the house quickly taking off his clothes and throwing them to me before shifting into his wolf. He runs and I follow him, my heart beating wildly in my chest.
Damn it! The morning was not supposed to go like this!
Knox stops, sniffing the air before taking off once again. Why did my dad have to be so smart and a blabber mouth at the same time. Now I have to deal with this!
He stops again, shifting back and takes the clothes from my hand quickly putting them on and faces me. "I built a tree house and not even Artemis knows about it so we should be safe." He mutters and quickly walks towards a tree, tugging on a rope and a ladder drops.
He starts climbing up and I follow looking around to make sure know one followed us. Gosh Artemis is scary and she hasn't even done anything.
Once we reach the top, we both drop to the ground, a sigh of relief escaping us, our chest heaving up and down as we try to catch our breaths.
"Oh good you're here. It was boring waiting for you."
We both freeze, I feel my heart drop to my stomach, the blood draining from my face as sudden chill rakes through my body and my mouth becomes dry. I glance sideways to see Ollie frozen solid just staring straight ahead but you can tell that he is fucking terrified with the way his breath is coming out short.
"Fuck." He mutters slowly and turns to face me, one question in his eyes. Should we run?
I subtly nod my head raising my three fingers and he nods brows furrowed in concentration.

And then we jump, Ollie shifting mid jump and I land on my feet ready to run for my life but frown when I feel fingers on the back of my shirt. Glancing sideways, I find Knox lying flat on his belly, paws covering his eyes as he whimpers.
"Where do you think you're going?"
I gulp slowly looking over my shoulder, my voice taking a high pitched tone. "Artemis! Babe! I didn't see you there."
She raises her brow giving me a flat look. "Oh really?"
I nod my head quickly and she nods smiling at me. I blink, face blank as I stare at her.
Why is she smiling?
"Knox shift." The smile on her face and her voice doesn't  match and it's freaking me out.
Knox whimpers again before shifting. She let's go of my shirt, running up the tree house and down within seconds and throws something at him.
He catches it, quickly pulling the shorts up all the while avoiding her gaze.
"Are you decent?" She questions still smiling and I gulp, wiping my sweaty palms on my jeans.
"Yeah." He mutters looking down and this time she gives us a toothy grin turning her head to face Ollie.
As if sensing her gaze on him, he looks up, eyes widening. "It was Storm's idea!" He blurts out.
"What?!"
He quickly nods. "Yup Storm made me do it!"
The fuck! My eyes widen and Artemis shifts her gaze to me, raising her brow and I quickly shake my head from side to side, my right hand raised in surrender as I use the other to point at Ollie. "He put him in a coma!"
"He's in a coma? Sweet." He says smiling to himself but then stops blinking at the both of us. "Not sweet just bad so bad."
She sighs shaking her head at the both of us. "Would you guys shut up for a second."
We both nod, lowering our heads.
She sighs tiredly, running her fingers through her hair. "I'm not mad at you guys."
We look up at the same time, Ollie's jaw dropping and I frown staring at her in disbelief. "You're not?"
She shakes her head. "I just wanna know why you did it?"
Ollie stares at her in shock, as if he can't believe that she asked that question and then scoffs. "Why the heck do you think I did it?"
She shrugs, staring at him blankly. "You're impulsive and stupid."
He narrows his eyes at her. "Maybe but not stupid enough to put a human in a fucking coma without a reason." He defends
"What is the reason then?"
He clenches his fist to his side, jaw tightening with his teeth grinding together as he looks away from her. "He put his filthy hands on my mate." He grits out, his body shaking in slight anger.
Artemis frowns pursing her lips at him. "Calm down Ollie." And just like that the tension slowly leaves him and his shoulders slump down.
Once she realizes that he isn't about to blow up, she sighs shaking her head at him. "So you put him in a coma?"
"Well." He begins looking at her, smiling sheepishly. "My plan was to kill him but then your mate stopped me, broke his jaw, his nose and probably his baby tool not that it was even something to talk about." He mutters the last part under his breath.
Artemis frowns staring at me. "You did that?"
I raise my hand in surrender. "Let me explain."
"There's nothing to explain." She says staring at me blankly. I wish I could tell what she's thinking or heck even feeling because she's too calm for my liking and even though she says she's not mad at us, I just feel like she is.
"Ollie you know we're not supposed to hurt humans."
He groans. "I know but it was my mate Artemis and I know you would have done worse if it was Storm that got hurt."
She frowns glancing at me. "I would have." She sighs again pursing her lips at us. "I understand why you both did it but please try not to put anyone in a coma."
We nod our head, a breath of relief escaping me and I step forward pulling her into a hug. "Thanks for not being mad."
"Mmm."
Stepping away from me, she glances at Ollie. "How did it go with the elders?"
He scowls. "They said they wouldn't change anything and that news has travelled about the Alpha of midnight fall pack so they need to see who 'he' is."
"They think the Alpha is a he?" She mutters rolling her eyes. "Fine then."
"Fine? What do you mean by fine?" He questions and Artemis shrugs.
"Call them and let them know I'll be coming over next week. So they should prepare."
His eyes bulge, jaw dropping and I snap my gaze to her.
"Next week?!" I and Ollie blurt at the same time and he smacks the back of my head.
"Jinx." He says grinning and I narrow my eyes at him, turning to face Artemis again.
"Next week?"
She nods. "Mm, next week. Ollie tell Selena and Damien to get ready and Storm I'm sorry but you can't come with me."
"What?! Why not?!" I protest.
She sighs wetting her lips. "I can't risk having you exposed out there and right now with everything that is happening, I just want you to lay low."
I frown. "B-but I want-" She steps forward cutting me off with her lips, pulling away and cups my cheek.
"Not today okay. Watch over the pack for me while I'm gone."
I sigh but nod. She grins stepping back again. "Good. Ollie you're not coming either."
"But Artemis." He whines throwing his hand up. "I wanna see the look on their faces."
She purses her lips at him shaking her head . "I'll take a picture for you but you need to stay here with Storm and help him. Also I need someone to train him once I'm gone and that is your job."
He opens his mouth to protest and she glares at him. Ollie sighs looking away.
"Fine." He mutters begrudgingly and she smiles and starts walking to the direction we came from.
We step in line with her and Ollie stops, staring at the ground deep in thought before looks up, narrowing his eyes suspiciously at Artemis.
She furrows her brows scrunching up her face. "What?"
He presses his lips into a thin line, jerking his thumb behind him. "How do you know about the tree house? Because I sure as hell haven't told or brought anyone here before."
The corner of her mouth tugs up in a slight smirk and she shrugs. "I know everything." And walks away not waiting for a response.
"Artemis." Ollie growls out her name.
