Artemis' Pov
"Are you nervous?"
I glance at Selena, pursing my lips and shake my head looking out the window. Damien sits at the front driving and Selena at the backseat with me.
The Alpha meeting has been there for centuries and I never attended any one of them until now. This wouldn't have happened if not for the attacks going on within the packs and if I hadn't made a visit to the rogue territory.
I'm sure Alpha Alex warned them not to reveal my identity, that's why everyone assumes I'm a male. What a bunch of sexiest idiots.
We're on the way to the airport and from there we'll move to the island where those pretentious elders are. I mentally scoff, they think they are the protector of werewolves and that if there is trouble, the Alphas will answer to them.
I mean sure they can strip of the title of an Alpha but so can their title be taken away, they just don't know that. Figures why they all sit high and mighty on that wooden chair of theirs.
"How long till we reach the airport?"
"Five minutes Alpha Artemis." Damien answers and I sigh picking my phone from my lap and texting Storm.
I smile, when I think about what happened this morning.
Flashback
"Don't go." He whines pulling me back into his arms and I giggle struggling against him.
"I have to." I mutter prying his arms from my waist but he squeezes tighter shaking his head.
"I won't allow it."
I chuckle turning in his hold to wrap my arms around his neck. "I promise I'll be back before you know it."
He pouts, lowering his head and I mentally coo at how adorable he looks. If I ever called him adorable, he'd go on another rant about how nothing of his looks adorable and then will make a sexual joke about it. Gosh I'm gonna miss him so much.
Leaning forward, I tilt his chin pecking his pout and he juts his lower lip, tapping is finger on it. "I didn't feel anything."
I smile, rolling my eyes at him and lean forward once again but he captures my lips before I can pull back, giving me his deep and passionate kiss that always seem to leave me breathless. He does the thing where he sucks on my upper lip then bites on it before taking my lower lip into his mouth.
Placing my hand on his chest, pulling back, a bit dizzy from his kisses and he leans in again wrapping his hand around my throat and bringing our lips together.
End of flashback.
It would have continued had Ollie not being a jerk and dragged him away.
"You're blushing. "
"Huh?" I look up. Selena stares amusingly at me and pokes my cheek.
"You're blushing." She says again and I cup my cheeks, trying hard to cool it down but I feel it heat up when Red keeps on sending me images after images.
Selena laughs shaking her head at me. "You like him that much huh?"
I nod dropping my hand to my lap. "I think I might be in love with him."
The sudden realization doesn't surprise me like I thought it would. If anything it has made me excited.
Wait, what if he doesn't feel the same way for me?
Don't think like that. Red growls in my mind and I sigh looking out the window once again.
He says he likes me but is it the same as being in love with me? Well it doesn't matter because we have decades for him to fall for me.
"We're here." Selena mumbles pulling me from my thoughts and I tune back into my surrounding. Damien opens the door and we step out, looking around the empty airport until I see someone waving in a distance and a giggle escapes me.
We get closer and immediately Cole pulls me into a hug, spinning me around before he puts me down when his mate steps up to him.
She smiles bowing her head. "Alpha Artemis it's been awhile."
I grin stepping forward to pull her in a hug. "Don't be so formal with me Lindsey."
She chuckles equally returning the hug and pulls back, Cole wraps his arms around her with a grin on his face, eyes giving me a once over before he looks up, a smirk on his face. "Storm is taking good care of you I see."
I grin nodding my head. Cole is a werewolf and a member of our pack that decided to join the humans with his mate Lindsey and apparently became friends with Storm. He told me all about the strange need to protect him the first time they met and then I asked him to bring him over hence why they had the camping.
It was a fifty-fifty percent chance that Storm wouldn't have come but well he did and I'm so glad about it.
Cole smiles shaking his head. "You're ready to face them?"
"Ready as I'll ever be." I mutter and he grins walking to the airplane. He is taking us there and will bring us back home.
I spent most of the ride to the island asleep and if it wasn't for Selena shaking me awake I'd probably still be sleeping.
"We're here." She informs me and I nod looking out the window. The island looks just as magnificent as I've heard. The tall leafy green trees surrounding every inch of the island, the deep blue waves crashing against the shore and right in the center is the monument of the elders. Bricks made of golden brown, the statue of the moon goddess placed in front of the building with a huge moon behind her.
They give her too much reference.
"We'll be landing soon." Cole's voice floats through the intercom.
Ten minutes later and we're finally on the island. I glance at Damien giving him a subtly nod and he bows walking ahead of us.
I take deep breathes, listening to my surroundings. The sounds of birds chirping, the waves hitting the shore and the faintest heartbeats meets my ear, guess some people arrived early. Damien comes back, beads of sweat gathered at his forehead.
Ollie told me Alpha meetings usually take days for it to end because every Alpha has something they would like to say. If they have problems why don't they solve it themselves but instead go to people who literally know nothing about pack life.
I mean I get them because they are the first ever humans to be blessed with a wolf, so obviously the others think that they know everything.
"Did you find the place Ollie was talking about?" I question softly and he nods.
"Lead the way then."
I wonder what Storm is doing? He made me promise to facetime him when I reach the island and checking my phone, there seems to be no cell signal so the only way I can let him know is through Ollie.
You're dumb for leaving Storm with Ollie. Red complains licking her paw and I roll my eyes at her.
Ollie maybe a goofball but he's trustworthy and I know he can protect Storm even though well he doesn't need protection.
She huffs. Whatever.
I raise the mental block, climbing up the hill. At the very top of the hill is a cabin but much bigger than what a normal cabin looks like. We all enter and I smile breathing in the scent of wood and pine before glancing at each and everyone of them.
"I want you all to get some rest because tomorrow is gonna be a stressful day."
There's a chorus of 'yes Alpha' and I smile beckoning Selena and Damien over. Cole and Lindsey head upstairs to what I'm guessing is their rooms.
I glance at them, giving each of one of them a meaningful look. "Tomorrow is going to be difficult and  there are going to be a lot of protests from other Alphas, some may even challenge my position and probably protests from the elders but I want you both to remain calm, let me handle it but be on guard, okay?"
They bow their heads. "Yes Alpha."
Damien walks away leaving me with Selena and we head upstairs to the rooms. She goes to the room from across me and I purse my lips at the door when I see my name written on it with Ollie's hand writing.
Artemis' room sucks
I smack my forehead, shaking my head at it before twisting the handle and stepping inside. A giggle escapes me when I look around, Ollie was just jealous because my room has the perfect view of the beach.
I sigh, flopping down on the bed and staring at the ceiling. Tomorrow is going to be a tough day but it needs to be done if I want Storm to be safe.
Turning to my side, I watch as the sun sets behind the sea creating this soft beautiful orange yellow background.
I get up, sliding the doors to the patio and sit on the swinging chair, bringing my knees up to my chest and resting my chin on it as I over look the view.
Taking deep breaths with my eyes closed, letting the sound of the waves calm me down and letting every worry leave my body, I open my eyes looking up the sky with a smile.
We've got this. Red mutters and I nod in agreement.
The next morning, I was awoken by Red's consistent growling and snarling. She can feel the presence of a lot of Alphas on the island and so can I but she doesn't need to be violent about it in my head.
'Would you quit it?' I snap at her rubbing my temples to rid the headache that she's causing and she only growls in response.
I raise the mental block shutting her up but I feel her probbing at it. She can prob all she wants, I'm not letting it down.
Focusing on the link to Ollie, I open it up and the feeling of happiness and contentment floats through the bond between us.
I sigh combing my fingers through my hair to untangle the little knots made overnight. "Ollie are you awake?"
No response.
I frown trying again. "Ollie." still nothing. My eyes narrow into slits when I feel him blocking me out, that son of a biscuits.
"Ollie!" I snap
"What? What? What!?" He whines sending out his distress and unhappiness about the situation.
I chuckle shaking my head at him. "Is everything okay at the pack?"
"Is that why you woke me up? To ask about the pack?" He states flatly and I grin.
"Mmm."
"Well the pack is fine. Storm is worried about you just in case you wanna know, Lyle and Jay would be going back to their apartment by the end of the week, so you'd probably not meet them when you get back." He ends and blocks me out.
I frown at his abruptness. Is he with- my eyes widen and I open the link forcing my way through the cheap mental block he has raised.
"For fuck sakes Artemis!" He snaps and I giggle.
"Are you with Storm's sister?"
There is a brief silence on his end for about a minute before he responds. "Yes."
I press my lips together. "Does Storm know you spent the night with her?"
Another brief silence until his answer comes out meekly. "Not really."
I hum in response forcing my way through his eyes to access the whole situation and I nearly coo from how adorable they look together. Ollie has his arm wrapped around her waist with her back facing his chest. Her hair spread across the pillow and Ollie just staring at her.
I pull back smiling to myself. "You both look so adorable together."
Ollie scoffs. "Of course we would, if she has a mate like me." He says cockily and I roll my eyes, throwing the covers away from my body and stretching myself as I walk around the room.
"Whatever. Anyway tell Storm that the island has no cell signal since someone forgot to mention it and that I miss him."
"Yeah sure whatever. Okay bye." He ends this time making sure the block is strong enough.
I roll my eyes, stepping into the bathroom to get ready.
Stepping out, I find Selena sitting on my bed with the outfit laid out and her make up case placed beside her as she watches me with an excited grin.
"Nope." I state flatly walking barefoot to the dresser and she groans throwing her hands in the air.
"Oh c'mon Artemis."
"Not happening." I reply plugging in the hair dryer. I stare at my self in the mirror, tilting my head to the side a frown on my face, hmm my hair is really getting long. I should probably consider getting a hair cut or something.
Selena steps beside me, dropping the case on the dresser as she narrows her eyes at me. "You are finally coming out from the shadows Artemis, so you need to fucking look like the sexy, total badass Alpha I know you are."
My forehead scrunches up. "What wrong with how I look now?"
She rolls her eyes, grabbing the case and unlocking it. She takes everything out laying them perfectly in front of me and grabs the hair dryer switching it on and raises it up, a smile on her face as she stares at me. "Everything."
I will forever hate wearing make up if Selena is the one doing it for me. To be honest I have nothing against it but Selena just loves to go all out with it and sometimes I have to warn her not to put too much on it.
After hours of whining on my part and smacks from Selena, we're finally done and she steps back grinning from ear to ear.
"I am so good." She says placing her hand on her hips, a proud glint in her eyes.
I frown crossing my arms in front of me. "Now can I open my eyes?"
"Yes!" She squeals and I mentally roll my eyes at her before slowly opening them. I tilt my head to the side staring at my reflection in the mirror with a frown and shrug rising to my feet.
The smiles drops from her face. "Really Artemis? You're not going to marvel at my handiwork?"
I press my lips together brows furrowed. "Am I supposed to?"
Her jaw drops and she throws her hands in the air, a glare on her face. "You're literally impossible!"
I walk past her, making sure to hide the smile on my face. Honestly I am impressed with what she has done with my face. She kept it light and natural, yet sophisticated and I honestly can tell that there's a difference with how I look but there is no way I'm gonna tell her that.
It's just going to give her an excuse to gloat in face and then she will want to always do my makeup.
Picking my outfit from the bed, I stare at it with a frown on my face, whipping my head around to glare at Selena. "What's this?" I ask, shaking the outfit at her.
She looks up staring at me through the mirror a smirk on her face. "You didn't honestly think I was gonna let you walk into the room wearing jeans?"
"That was the plan." I retort crossing my arms in front of her and she chuckles, grabbing the straightener.
"Sorry but you're wearing that."
I purse my lips at the outfit, shoulders slumping in defeat and I sigh going to the bathroom to change.
The white stretchy material hugs my body perfectly, accentuating my curves with a thigh slit and a flattering curved neckline, the length of the dress reaching my ankle. Turning around, I realize the back is laced up and I purse my lips at it. I don't want to attract attention but Selena has other ideas.

A tired sigh escapes me as I look at myself in the mirror, couldn't she have used a less bold colour on my lips but nope she opted for red.
That's because Red is beautiful and I have to say you are looking mighty hot. Red purrs and I roll my eyes, twirling the soft curls framing my face. I step out of the bathroom to see Selena also dressed in a short sleeve white dress that stops just above her knee. The v-neckline stopping at her chest with a white belt placed around it and a gold plague right at the center of it, causing a slight gathers on the dress.

She squeals, clapping her hands excitedly when she sees me. Bending down to grab the heels, she hands them over with a grin. "This will look perfect with them!"
I nod, slipping on the gold strapped heel. I smile in satisfaction when it makes me an inch taller than I look but frown when I take a step and my legs wobble a bit. It's been awhile since I wore heels, so it might take time getting used to it.
Smiling at my reflection, I turn around facing Selena. "What is the time?"
She glances at her watch and looks up smirking. "It's almost noon and the meeting has already started.
"Perfect."
Cole and Lindsey will be staying behind whilst Damien, I and Selena will head to the meeting. Damien looks rugged dressed in a black buttoned up shirt fitting his frame and dress pants hugging his legs.
He bows when he sees us, opening the car and stretching out his hand to help us. I send him a grateful nod and he nods back face blank.
Will it kill him to smile for once. Gosh I have never seen him smile before.
Five minutes later, we arrive at the monument and I can hear the murmurs of all the Alphas in the room.
'Red.' I call out lifting the mental block and she growls in response. 'Don't cause trouble.'
Me? Why ever would you think that? I purse my lips at the innocent way in which she's talking.
'I know you.' I state flatly and she chuckles rising to her full height.
Let's just see what happens.
Looking around the place, my eyes land on the moon goddess staring down at me and I roll my eyes walking past her with Selena and Damien on my trail.
The guards at the front frown when they see us but say nothing, opening the door for us and I hear one of them whisper to the other.
"Fuck who do you think she is?"
"I don't know maybe she's representing her mate or something but damn she's hot."
"I know but I'm kind of excited to meet the Alpha of midnight fall pack, heard he is ruthless."
I frown blocking them out once I'm far enough. Do they really think that all alphas are males? Oh who am I kidding, there hasn't been a record of any Female Alpha so obviously that's what they are gonna think.
Well they are in for the shock of their lives. My heels click across the long hallway, pictures of past elders on the walls and I raise my brow at the picture of the moon goddess smacked right in the middle of it.
Interesting.
We stop at the tall double doors and I take deep breaths, wiping my palm on my dress, squaring my shoulder with my head held high as I nod at Damien to open it.
"Here we go." Selena murmurs straightening herself and Damien grabs the handle twisting it and stepping inside first.
The entire room becomes silent and Selena grabs my hand stopping me from going in.
"Let me go first." She says smiling and I roll my eyes at her. If Ollie was around he'd probably make it more dramatic.
She steps in and everyone one gasps, murmurs surrounding the room.
"Who is she?"
"What is a female doing here?"
"Fuck she's hot."
I see Selena roll her eyes at the last one before she glances over her shoulder nodding her head at me.
Red snarls stepping to the front and my eyes glow a vibrant violet, the alpha within me coming to play instantly. I step inside and the murmurs instantly seize, every pair of eyes staring at me and I'd be lying if I said my ego is not at the top right now.
Glancing around, my eyes land on Alpha Alex sitting at the top and he smirks raising his hand up in a wave. I smile giving him a subtly nod before stopping at the center of the room, my eyes fixed on the six elders sitting there.
"Who are you?" The one in the middle booms, his voice loud and annoying and I shrug clasping my arms in front of me.
I turn seeing Selena and Damien at the far back and gasps echoes around the room, no doubt because of my eyes.
"Violet eyes?"
"Impossible."
"I can smell the Alpha in her."
"Silence!" The same person speaks and takes of the hood from his head. The other follows taking of the hood of their cloaks and six pair of male eyes stare at me.
Middle guy with the black hair filled with a bit of grey hair rises to his feet. Brown eyes narrowing into slits at me as he raises a shaky finger in my direction. "You have no place here."
I raise my brow furrowing my brows. "Is it because I'm a woman?"
He scowls but doesn't say anything and I chuckle stepping forward. "I don't think that should deter me from attending a meeting right?"
He glares at me. "Where is your mate? A Luna is not meant to be here."
IÂ chuckle, crossing the distance between us and he gasps stepping back. "My name is Artemis and I am the Alpha of Midnight fall pack."
It didn't click in his mind for a few seconds until he gasps staring at me in shock. "What?!" He yells and I smile tilting my head to the side.
A/N: Artemis has finally shown herself to everyone!! And some people are not very happy about it!!
