Few decades later.
In an office behind the brown desk, a man was seen seated. His head buried deep in the papers before him as he shuffled through them with concentration.
He was trying to find a way to keep his pack safe from enemies and he needed allies to help him. His pack was the second strongest and he felt proud for achieving that.
At age 18 he was given the Alpha position and the pack has gone through a lot of changes since then.
The door to the office opened and two people stepped in, a man and a woman. His sharp senses and smell could tell who they were so he didn't even bother raising his head.
"Well?" He asked in his deep voice that could leave anyone breathless.
The woman, Lilah couldn't help but stare at her Alpha lustfully. How could such a person exist in the world.
His black hair fell in short curls in front of his forehead. He had a sharp jawline and beautiful dark eye brows that were furrowed in deep concentration. His lashes lightly brushed against his cheeks when he blinked and his lower lip looked so soft and plump when he lightly licked them.
He was just to beautiful but what made him more handsome was his eyes.
He frowned even deeper when he got no answer and then finally looked up to watch them.
Grey cold eyes glared in their direction. "Speak!" He snapped.
Lilah came out her stupor and the man just rolled his eyes and plopped on the seat.
"Alpha Storm, the alpha of midnight fall pack has agreed to have a meeting with you." Lilah said keeping her head bowed. She dared not dream of staring into those eyes of his. She admired him, loved and wished that he would choose her as his mate.
The expression on Storm's face changed when he heard that.
"When?" He asked and Lilah could hear the the slight excitement in his voice. She narrowed her eyes a little.
"Tomorrow." She replied and Storm nodded. With a wave of his hand, he dismissed her.
He dropped the papers, run his fingers through his hair and turned around in his seat to face the windows.
The man scoffed. "Can you try and hide how excited you are, it might send out the wrong message to your admirer."
The smile on his face dropped and he turned around in his seat to glare at him. "Shut up Jay!"
Jay rolled his eyes and the dropped his head with a sigh. "How are do you feel?"
Storm softened his gaze a bit. He understood his friend.
Just like him, he was also reincarnated but with Jay he had a totally different look whereas he Storm had the same body.
Jay took on brown hair with dark eyes. His build was muscular than his original self and he had a slight stubble.
Jay's memories where bits and pieces of his life but what he remembered the most was when he died. He had to relive that memory over and over again and it has tormented him for so long.
"You should be happy you get to see her." Storm muttered softly and Jay looked away.
"What is there to be happy about. She's gonna reject me." He murmured, got up and left the room.
Storm watched the retreating back of his friend until he closed the door behind him. He sighed and faced the windows again.
He remembers everything carefully.
Flashback to the meeting with Luna.
"The only way for you to win the war is through my sister's blood and yours." Luna said softly.
Storm stared at her in confusion. "What? How?"
Luna smiled, stood to her feet and walked towards the pond. "Believe or not I wasn't the one who paired you with Artemis. It was her mother."
Storm blanked out. "Excuse me?"
She chuckled, dipped her hand into the pool and played with the water. It created slight ripples with her movement and the stars moved along with it. "It's confusing because she's dead well not entirely but then you get my point."
Storm nodded and waited for her to continue.
"She once said that if in a way she died she is gonna leave something precious for her children and that was a mate. So you know what she did?"
Storm shook his head.
"She placed two stars up in the sky. One for Artemis and one for Apollo and when their mates come the stars will shine so bright." Luna said and the raised her hand to point at something in the sky.
Storm looked up and his eyes widened in disbelief. Right in the middle of the stars were two other stars that were close together yet still apart. One was shining so brightly that it was almost blinding whilst the other had a dull glow.
"That's mine?" Storm trailed off in awe and Luna chuckled.
"Yeah and the one next to yours is Apollo's mate. She hasn't been born yet but then she will be soon enough."
Storm watched in awe but then frowned. "Wait you said that my blood and Artemis' mom's blood can save us, how?"
She looked in a distance and then sighed. "Storm I know what I'm saying doesn't make sense and I really don't know how to make it simple...
"Wait hold on a minute." He cut her off and she pursed her lips, eyes narrowing slightly.
"Explain carefully." He said and Luna sighed.
"My sister's blood is like poison when mixed with human blood. In all honesty gods and goddess alike have the same element. Our blood contains certain special components that can be dangerous when mixed with human blood and my sister's happens to be the deadliest especially to gods."
Storm looked down, his mind trying to process exactly what she said. It felt surreal and pretty much impossible. His thoughts flashed across his face and Luna could see he was in a dilemma.
She placed a hand on his shoulder and smiled. "I know it's a lot so I'll give you time to think about it." And with that she left.
Storm plopped on the grass dejectedly. What was he going to do? Is it really worth it? He sighed and looked at the stars. They felt so enchanting and ethereal up close. His gaze slowly looked to where his star was alongside with Apollo's mate.
Artemis' mother was really thoughtful. Did she know she was going to die?
"What to do..."He trailed of tiredly and looked down. He suddenly had a flash of memory.
There was a time when Artemis looked so lost. The pressure of the attacks was too much, she was missing her parents and everything was weighing down on her. He remembered clearly that they lay in the field of flowers, staring at the sky when she said. "I would do anything to make sure we would win this war even if it means losing my life."
Storm remembered the feeling of how hopeless and useless he felt because he couldn't contribute much to help her but only serve as a form of comfort.
That memory seemed to bring something in him alive and he faced his star with resolution.
"Made a decision yet?" Luna said and he didn't even flinch.
"What do I need to do?" He answered and Luna smiled sadly.
"You have to die, a stab to your chest."
Storm clenched his fists and looked away but then the fire in his heart was ablaze once again. He would do anything for Artemis if it meant losing his life.
"Fine." He replied and Luna stared at him surprisingly. "But you need to do something for me." He added.
"What do you need?" She finally asked after sometime.
Storm took a deep breath and faced her. "Bring my friend Jay back to life."
END OF FLASHBACK.
That was his request but if he knew that bringing Jay back was gonna cause him so much pain, he would have let him remain wherever it is that he was.
The Jay now and the Jay then are totally different people but what can he do.
He sighed but then a full blown smile spread across his face. He was finally going to see the person after so long.
Back at Midnight Fall pack, the Alpha looked at the information in front of him with a complicated look.
He was finding it difficult that there was another person called Storm with the same features from his memory.
Riley frowned and looked at the picture on his table. It was a picture of Artemis, him and Storm. They took this weeks before the war and he remembered how much happiness he felt.
Artemis and Storm almost felt like parents to him even though he had his mother.
He missed them especially Storm. He remembered the day when they came back from the war. He remembered seeing a magnificent wolf and if not for the eyes he would have thought he was dreaming.
The wolf was carrying a body on the back. She dragged her paws along the ground, staggering a bit and making whimpering sounds. At that time he really didn't know what was happening until he saw the wolf shift and falling brokenly to the ground.
Artemis' screams were so painful to hear. At a point she even refused to bury the body and just stayed outside with Storm in her arms for almost three weeks until her brother came and took her away.
Even with that she put up a fight. She was going mad with rage and bloodlust and nearly killed Ollie and some of the pack members. Her own brother couldn't hold her down and Esme's magic wasn't able to calm her or put her to sleep.
It was later that Alec whispered something and that is when she finally broke down. She mourned for days and days, calling out Storm's name until one day she just stopped.
She never cried when they put his body in the coffin, she never cried when they closed it nor did she cry when they finally placed him in the ground. She just stood there in a white dress and watched and after that day, she disappeared.
Now he is looking at the folder of the Alpha he is meant to meet and he is really dreading it.
"Why the look kiddo?" A deep voice snapped him out of his thoughts and he looked up with a scowl.
"Stop calling me kiddo, grandpa Ollie." He mocked and Ollie growled.
"I am not a grandpa you little shit! The girls still love me!"
"Oh hello aunty Sunny..." Riley said, looking behind him and Ollie's eyes widened in shock and fear as he quickly turned around.
"Babe...."He stopped realizing no one was there and turned around to glare at Riley.
He leaped over the table but Riley was faster and escaped his hand before they could grab him. "See what I mean, you're so old that you can't even catch up." He taunted and the glare on Ollie's face intensified.
"You stupid son of a freaking......."
"OLLIE TEQUILA HUGH!"
He froze and Riley brought his hand to his mouth, giggles erupting from his throat. "You're dead."
Ollie flipped him but screamed in pain when his finger was suddenly grabbed by his pregnant wife. "Babe! please! let go!"
Sunny scoffed. "How many times have I told you mind your language."
"A lot of babe. Now please!" He pleaded, his face going red from pain. His wife has gotten so terrifyingly strong after they had their first and second born and now she's carrying the third. He honestly didn't expect it.
Sunny let go of his finger and then turned to face Riley with a sweet smile. "How are you Riley?"
Riley's cheeks burned a little when she ruffled his hair.
"I'm good aunty Sunny..."
"What the actual fuck!" Ollie screamed and they all turned to see him staring at the document in front of him. Riley noticed what document it was and slapped his forehead. How could he have left it carelessly like that.
Ollie looked at Riley with narrowed eyes. "What is the meaning of this?" He said and slammed the papers on the table. Sunny picked them up and dropped them to the ground. Her hand went over her mouth and tears gathered in her eyes as she stared at nothing.
Riley pursed his lips and looked away. "I don't know but tomorrow they will be coming here."
Ollie groaned, running his hand through this hair. "Cancel it! Artemis is coming back tomorrow and she can't afford to see someone who looks and has the same name as her mate!" He yelled frustratingly.
"She is what?!" Riley yelled back in surprise and then started pacing. "I can't because I promised them."
"Well unpromise it!" Ollie exclaimed, tugging the ends of his hair. He was more worried about Artemis than the shocking news of a Storm look alike.
He didn't want another blood rage again and his wife was pregnant too. Who knew what she would do if she saw this and later realize it's not her mate. He can't afford it.
"Let him come." A small voice distracted them from their thoughts and they all turned to face Sunny. Ollie saw how pale her face was and quickly pulled her into his arms.
"Sunny..."He trailed off and she shook her head,
"Please even if it's not my brother. I just want to see him, please." She pleaded and Ollie felt his heart breaking at the tone of her voice.
Even he has to admit that he misses Storm very much and would wish for anything to see him. He sighed. "Fine but we make sure they stay far from each other."
A/N: That's not the end guys ;)
