Storm's Pov
I stared, my eyes tearing up at the sight of her. She was so beautiful and those eyes, fuck he had missed those violet eyes so badly.
I took a step forward, picking up the pace until I run the rest of the way. She just stared, not daring to move and before she could get her mouth open, I picked her up and twirled her in my arms.
She was real not a figment of my dreams or memory. She was my Artemis and she was here with me. Her arms shakily wrapped around my neck and I felt her take shaky breaths.
"It's really you." She murmured squeezing tightly. I buried my face in her neck, trying to mesh our bodies together.
"I'm here Artemis, I'm here." I whispered into her hair, kissing her hair repeatedly. She pulled back, cupped my cheeks and wiped the tears that were dropping from my eyes.
"I have waited so long for you." Artemis whispered sadly, her eyes filled with tears as they slowly trailed down her cheeks. Her lips trembled with her choked sob and I cupped her cheeks pressing my lips against her soft ones.
She groaned, kissing me immediately. We savored the taste of each other, a burning passion consuming as whole and we both were willing to burn in it.
Our lips started out slow until it got hot and passionate with me biting and Artemis sucking on my lips. God I missed her.
She pulled away, her legs tightening around my waist. "I missed you Storm, so much. I couldn't breath, I couldn't even sleep. I counted the days wishing that you will return but you never did. I lost hope Storm.." Her voice broke and she looked down trying to hide the pain in her eyes but I saw it and it broke me.
"I'm so sorry." I replied, slowly going down on my knees so I could feel our bodies close. "I missed you Artemis. I wanted to return so badly, I really did but it had to wait. I had to settle a lot of things Artemis but I'm so glad because now we can be together."
Artemis shook her head, not letting go. "I know Storm but still it hurt really much, especially over here." She said and took my hand placing it on her chest.
My heart broke and I kissed her again, expressing what my mouth couldn't say, what my heart wanted to shout out; I love her.
"I love you Artemis. Even a thousand years to come I will still love you." I whispered against her lips and she sighed.
"I love you Storm, always and forever."
Lilah saw the scene and immediately knew that her Alpha had found his mate, so she lowered her head and quietly left.
I spent the whole day with Artemis till the sky turned dark and the stars came out twinkling brightly.
She rested her head on my chest, our legs were tangled together and we stared at the stars.
"There's your star." She said, pointing out to a brightly lit star and I smiled.
I grabbed her hand and pointed to the one next to it. "And that's yours." I whispered and shifted slightly to cup her cheeks so I could stare into those violet eyes of hers. "Our stars will always be together and so shall we."
She smiled, her eyes twinkling with happiness and I leaned forward, kissing her slowly. "I love you Artemis forever."
"Let's have babies." She replied and my lips tilted up in a smirk.
"To the house then." I grinned and she giggled, getting up to her feet. Just before she could say anything, I quickly shifted into my wolf.
She stared at it in awe, caressing my fur softly and hugged my huge neck, a content sigh escaping her lips. My wolf licked her face, his eyes shining with happiness and Artemis giggled rubbing the head.
"Nice to meet you Gray."
Gray howled when Artemis mentioned his name and lowered himself so she could get on. She smiled happily and climbed on his back, gripping his fur tightly in her hand. "Let's go home."
Gray raced through the forest, showing his agility, strength and overall his excitement that he was finally with his mate.
They were together at last and nothing was gonna come between them.
The moon shone brightly on the wolf dashing through the forest with the woman happily giggling. They were blessing them and hoping that this couple gonna live happily ever after.
