Bear-san, Participates In The Twoâs Birthday Party (Part 2)
âI forgot to tell you. Yuna-chan, you look great in that dress.â (Tirumina)
âThank you. Tirumina-san, that dress also suits you.â (Yuna)
We complement each other. Tirumina-san shyly replied, âThank youâ. I know exactly how she felt. There was nothing more embarrassing than wearing clothes youâre not used to.
But itâs also been proven that if you keep wearing it, you will get used to it. Iâm already used to dressing up as a bear. Even if I thought it was terrible, my heart was honest.
âBut youâre still wearing your shoes and gloves.â (Tirumina)
Tirumina-san looked at my feet and left hand.
If I sat in the chair, no one could see my shoes, and my white bear puppet was also an item bag, which was necessary to bring out the bear plushies as a gift.
There was nothing dangerous around, so I put the black bear puppet away.
As I was complimenting each other, there was a knock at the door, and we heard a voice saying, âExcuse me,â and Lara-san entered the room.
Lara-san was surprised to see me but soon returned to her usual expression.
âHave you finished changing your dress? If you donât mind, Iâll be happy to assist you.â (Lara)
âItâs okay. Weâre both done with ours.â (Yuna)
âDo you mean youâll keep your hair as it is?â (Lara)
âI intend to.â (Yuna)
I just let my hair flow straight without doing anything. Itâs not my birthday, so I donât need to change my hairstyle. The main characters are Fina and Noa. Itâs their birthday party, so Iâm just wearing a dress.
âYuna-samaâs hair is long and beautiful, so it might as well stay that way.â (Lara)
My hair is long. It is the only part of my hair that I am proud of as a girl. However, that part is usually meaningless because itâs always hidden when wearing my bear suit.
âWell then, I will show you to the room where the party will be held.â (Lara)
We left the room, then Lara-san called out to Gentz-san in the next room.
Gentz-san came out of the room dressed in formal attire. He looked so sharp that I could not imagine him in his usual rough clothes. He was clean-shaven, and his hair was neatly coiffed.
It almost made me laugh.
If I dress normally, the people around me might feel like this.
âTirumina andâ¦â¦ Bear girl?â (Gentz)
The pause bothered me, but I got it, so I dared not ask.
I just say one word. âYeahâ.
âWhat about Fina and Shuri?â (Gentz)
âTheyâre coming later.â (Tirumina)
âI see. You both look good, by the way.â (Gentz)
Tirumina-san and I just said âthanksâ to him. I thought I would be laughed at or made fun of, but apparently, Gentz-san does not have the luxury of making fun of me. Since a few moments ago, his face has been tense, perhaps from nervousness.
âGentz, you look good too.â (Tirumina)
Tirumina-sanâs words made Gentz-san look embarrassed, but his cheeks relaxed as if the tension had been lifted a little by Tirumina-sanâs words.
Then, Lara-san called out to us at the right moment, and we moved to the venue of todayâs party.
Itâs spacious. The room was large enough for dozens of people to join the party with room to spare.
As expected of a nobleâs mansion, it had such a spacious room. However, my expectation was wrong. I thought we would sit on chairs like at Misaâs birthday party, but there were only tables and no chairs. Apparently, it would be a standing party. A standing party would make my footwear stand out.
âDo we have to do it in this place?â (Gentz)
âIt seems so.â (Tirumina)
Tirumina-san and Gentz-san looked around the room nervously.
Cliff and Gran-san were talking inside the room, and when Misa noticed us entering the room, she came over to me.
âYuna-oneesama, youâre beautiful.â (Misa)
Misa complimented me with a smile. Misa also looked very pretty in her light blue dress. She will be a beautiful woman when she grows up.
âYou do look like a noble lady from somewhere when you dress like that.â (Cliff)
âIndeed.â (Gran)
Cliff and Gran-san also came up to me, saw my outfit, and let out such impressions.
The phrase that fits me now would be, âeven a horseâs coat is a garmentâ. (ã馬åã«ã衣裳ã)
âBut then again, couldnât you have done something about the feet?â (Cliff)
Cliff asked while looking at my feet.
âI donât have shoes to wear in a place like this, so I suppose itâs inevitable.â (Yuna)
I didnât even want one, so I didnât buy it.
âWell then, letâs get them ready now, shall we?â (Cliff)
I politely decline, as the aristocratic Cliff could do it.
âWell, those shoes look good on you too, so there shouldnât be a problem.â (Cliff)
Wait, Cliff praised my appearance? And then I turned my gaze to Tirumina-san.
âCliff, I think youâve met them before, but these are Finaâs mother, Tirmina-san, and her father, Gentz-san.â (Yuna)
For the time being, I, who knows both of them, introduced them.
âThank you very much for inviting us.â (Tirumina)
Tirumina-san greeted Cliff nervously. Gentz-san also lowered his head lightly.
âI invited you out of my daughterâs selfishness, but I wanted to talk to you guys at least once, so I hope youâll forgive me.â (Cliff)
âNo, there are no words to express my gratitude for having my daughterâs birthday party in a place like this.â (Tirumina)
Tirumina-san answered while choosing her words.
Until now, sheâs been saying something like she didnât want to go, but she canât say that in front of Cliff.
âI appreciate you saying so.â (Cliff)
When Cliff smiled, Tirumina-san also expressed relief.
âMay I say hello to you as well?â (Gran)
Since Gran-san is also here, I introduced them to Gran-san as well.
âYou might have met him at the beach, but heâs Gran-san, Misaâs grandfather. Remember Leonardo-san, who came to our house before to apologize for Misaâs birthday party, this person is his father, I think?â (Yuna)
Or maybe the wifeâs father. But which is it?
âYes, weâve met before. It has been a long time. Gran-sama.â (Tirumina)
âI was busy last time and didnât get a chance to talk to you much, but I want to take this opportunity to apologize. I apologize for not being able to protect your precious daughter at Misaâs birthday party. And thank your daughter for putting herself on the line to protect Misa.â (Gran)
Gran-san bowed his head slightly and thanked them.
âNo, please, we have already received an apology and thanks from Leonardo-sama.â (Tirumina)
Tirumina-san was troubled when Gran-san, a nobleman, bowed down to her.
âShe is a very good girl. Please take good care of Misa from now on.â (Gran)
âItâs my pleasure. Please take good care of my daughter as well.â (Tirumina)
They bowed to each other.
After a brief greeting, there was a knock at the door.
âI have brought Noire-sama, Fina-sama, and Shuri-sama.â (Lara)
The door opened and entered Noa in a red dress that matches her golden hair, followed by Fina in a light green dress and Shuri in a similar color. Did the sisters wear the same color?
Shuri went to Tirumina-sanâs side, while Noa and Fina moved to the front as if they had discussed this from the beginning.
Then Noa and Fina began to give their greetings.
âThank you for coming to my and Finaâs birthday party today.â (Noa)
âTh, thank you very much.â (Fina)
Feeling nervous at Noaâs words, Fina also bowed her head and proceeded to give thanks.
âI finally turned eleven years old. I really wanted my mother and sister to celebrate with me, but they are in the capital. Still, I am grateful that you are all here to celebrate with me.â (Noa)
âI donât know if Iâm allowed to celebrate my birthday with Noa-sama, but I also appreciate it.â (Fina)
Maybe thatâs Finaâs true feelings. I guess she thought she was out of place to celebrate with Noa, a noble.
âThatâs not true. You may think it was annoying, but I wanted to celebrate with you. So please enjoy Fina.â (Noa)
â⦠Noa-sama.â (Fina)
Those words were also Noaâs true feelings.
âI understand. Thank you for having me today.â (Fina)
âLetâs enjoy it together.â (Noa)
âYes!â (Fina)
After they finished their greetings, Cliff opened his mouth.
âI have prepared a wonderful meal for you. And please donât worry about etiquette. Feel free to enjoy the food and conversation.â (Cliff)
After Cliff said that, the food was brought in.
ââ¦â¦Mom, Dad, does it look good on me?â (Fina)
When Fina came over, she asked while looking embarrassed.
âYes, it suits you well. I thought you were a young lady for a moment.â (Tirumina)
âYeah, you look good. I wish Roy could see you right now.â (Gentz)
Itâs a beautiful light green dress. I saw it at Misaâs birthday party and it looks fantastic on her. You could even say sheâs a young lady from somewhere.
âAnd me?~â (Shuri)
âOf course, Shuri also looks great.â (Tirumina)
Shuri also looks happy in her dress. If she acted a little more behaved, Shuri might also look like a young lady.
She moves too much.
As I was looking at the two, I saw Tirumina-sanâs eyes overflowing with tears.
âMom, whatâs wrong?â (Fina)
âMom, does it hurt somewhere?â (Shuri)
When Fina and Shuri saw Tirumina-san in tears, they panicked.
âIâm sorry. It doesnât hurt anywhere, Iâm fine. Itâs just that I never thought Iâd get to see these beautiful girls of mine, so Iâm just so happy, I canât stop it.â (Tirumina)
ââ¦â¦Mom.â
âI canât help but think about what happened a few months ago. Itâs thanks to you, Yuna-chan, that I can see my daughters dressed like this. Thank you, Yuna-chan.â (Tirumina)
Maybe she was referring to her illness. I didnât know what the illness was, but she would have died if they had kept on doing nothing treating as if it was normal. She would never have seen Fina and Shuri in their dresses if that had happened.
But it wasnât just because of me.
âIf it was that time, it was because Fina tried so hard. If you want to thank someone, thank Fina.â (Yuna)
If Fina had not worked so hard for Tirumina-sanâs sake, itâs possible that she would have died before she met me. I canât imagine how hard it must have been for Fina to work with her small body and take care of her mother and sister.
I just helped out a little bit.
That, and Gentz-sanâs support from the shadows, may have made Finaâs work bearable.
âYes, youâre right. Thank you, Fina. And thank you for showing me how beautiful you are.â (Tirumina)
ââ¦â¦Mom.â
Fina looked embarrassed.
âYou too, Shuri. Thank you. Iâm counting on you until you two get married.â (Tirumina)
âItâs still early for that.â (Fina)
âItâll be a problem if youâre late, but Iâll be lonely if itâs early.â (Tirumina)
Gentz-san looked at Fina and Shuri.
âIâll take them then.â (Yuna)
I tried to joke about it.
âOf course. If itâs you, Yuna-chan, I can give her to you as your wife with peace of mind.â (Tirumina)
She gave me a look that I couldnât tell if she was serious or joking.
Well, if I were a man, I might have wanted Fina as my wife.
Sheâs a hard worker, can cook, and do housework. I think a man who marries Fina will be happy.
Then I have to make sure she gets the right guy. If heâs not worthy of Fina, then I have to do something about it.
