Bear-san, Gives Finaâs Present, Land Of Harmony Edition 5
The next day, we went to the castle, where a man awaited us.
âSakura, Iâve been waiting for you.â (Suou)
The lord of this castle, King Suou.
âWhy are you here, Uncle?â (Sakura)
âWhen I heard Yuna was coming, I had to say hello, didnât I?â (Suou)
No, you donât have to.
See, King Suou, while youâre talking to us, people around us look at us with readable expressions like, âWho are those girls?â But judging from their reactions, they donât seem to know about the Orochi incident or anything about me. I donât want to cause a commotion, so it kind of helps.
Then King Suou changes his gaze from Sakura to us.
âOne of them I donât recognize, but they are the girls from that time, arenât they? So Yuna is not here?â (Suou)
Iâm right in front of you.
This exchange has occurred many times, but is it really nearly impossible to recognize me unless Iâm dressed as a bear?
Well, I guess thatâs why my face is plain and doesnât leave an impression.
Or perhaps itâs more likely that the image of the bearâs outfit is too strong to forget.
âWhat are you talking about? Yuna-sama is here.â (Sakura)
Sakura then turns her gaze to me.
ââ¦Is this whatâs inside that bear?â (Suou)
It isâ¦
Do you have a problem with that?
âHoho~u~â (Suou)
âWhat?â (Yuna)
âYou look good in that outfit, too.â (Suou)
âThanks.â (Yuna)
Thereâs no need to refute nor retort every single one of his jabs, so Iâll just accept the flattery with an open mind.
âI canât go with you, but Iâve instructed the people in the castle not to interfere with you. So you are free to look around the castle. But you must stay with Sakura. I also have lunch prepared for you, so please eat to your heartâs content.â (Suou)
After saying that, King Suou leaves.
âWell then, shall we go?â (Sakura)
âYes.â
âUn~â
âAlright, letâs go!â
âShuri, donât leave us.â
I said to Shuri, who was about to start running.
âI wonât leave~. Why do you always tell me?â (Shuri)
âBecause it looks like youâre about to go on your own, you know?â (Yuna)
âU~uâ (Shuri).
Shuri puffs up her cheeks at my words.
Well, as a matter of fact, Shuri is a child who does what she says. But she also has the tendency to act alone when she finds something interesting right in front of her. On the other hand, it also means that if youâre not alert to her disposition, you will never know what she might do the next moment.
âShuri, go with your sister.â (Yuna)
âUn.â (Shuri)
When Fina held out her hand, Shuri grabbed it.
And some people were looking at them enviously.
âI also want a sister like Shuri-chan.â (Ruimin)
âI know how you feel.â (Sakura)
Ruimin and Sakura muttered such impressions when they saw Fina and Shuri getting along well.
âFor me, Sakura-sama is like my little sister.â (Shinobu)
âI wonder if Fina and Shuri are like sisters to me, too.â (Yuna)
Shinobu and I look at the sisters with warm eyes.
Then we walked through the castle.
Thanks to Sakura and Shinobu, the people who passed by did not stop, just like King Suou said.
Unlike the royal capitalâs castle, itâs a Japanese-style castle with a lot of wood.
After all, as a Japanese person, this castle is more familiar to me. Fina and the girls were somewhat surprised to find that the castle in the Land of Harmony completely differed from the castle in the royal capital.
âU wa~a, itâs beautiful.â
Fina and Shuri stopped walking and looked at what seemed like a Japanese garden with ponds and splendid stones lined up.
âA large puddle?â (Shuri)
âItâs a small pond. They keep fishes there.â (Yuna)
âDo you eat them?â (Shuri)
âNo, they donât eat them. Itâs ornamental.â (Yuna)
I explained to Shuri.
âYuna-sama is very knowledgeable.â (Sakura)
âMy country had something similar.â (Yuna)
But there was no threat of deer.
After that, as we were walking around the castle, I met Juubei-san, and he was surprised at my appearance. He then offered me a practice match, which I politely declined.
Because I am not equipped with my bear gear, I would be in big trouble if I received a blow from Juubei-san. Knowing Juubei-sanâs ability, I donât want to fight him unnecessarily.
So instead, Shinobu fought Juubei-san and showed a sparring match without weapons.
Juubei-sanâs movements were sophisticated and astonishing, but Shinobu was just as amazing.
Shuri and the girls cheered for Shinobu, but she was just no match against Juubei-san.
After that, Shinobu showed off her kunai throwing skills and challenged me to a match. With the bear puppet, itâs a given that I would win, but without it, I had no chance at all, so I declined. However, Shinobu said, âYou must be scared to loseâ, âWell, Yuna canât beat me when it comes to kunai throwingâ, and âNobody wants to be embarrassed, so it canât be helpedâ, I got a little annoyed, so I went all out with the bear puppet cheat and beat Shinobu.
Shinobu was shocked, but it was not my fault. I refused, after all.
Well, it wasnât very mature of me either.
After that, we walked around looking at various places and finally looked over the castle town from the top of the castle.
âU wa~a, itâs wonderful!â (Shuri)
âThe scenery seen from the royal capital castle was pretty, but the scenery seen from this castle is also beautiful.â (Ruimin)
âYes. Different cities have different buildings.â (Fina)
As Fina said, itâs a completely different view.
Not only Fina, but also Shuri and Ruimin have their eyes wide open to the scenery.
âIf I hadnât met Yuna-san, I wouldnât have been able to see such a view. Iâm glad I collapsed in front of Yuna-sanâs house.â (Ruimin)
No, a girl shouldnât be collapsing outside of someoneâs house.
Itâs dangerous, and thereâs even the possibility of her being kidnapped. Besides, Ruimin is a pretty elf girl. She has to protect herself.
âFufu, thatâs right. If it werenât for Yuna-sama, Orochi might have destroyed this scenery. There would have been no people and no buildings.â (Sakura)
While looking at the scenery, Sakura turned her gaze to me.
âThank you very much, Yuna-sama.â (Sakura)
âIâve heard you say âthank youâ a million times. So I donât want to hear it anymore. If you want to thank me, live properly and enjoy life.â (Yuna)
Your life is your own. And you only live once, so you should enjoy it.
âYes!â (Sakura)
Sakura replied with a smile.
We enjoyed the view from the top of the castle, and then ate a sumptuous meal prepared by King Suou for lunch.
âIâm already full.â
âI canât eat anymore.â
âItâs painful.â
âIâm full.â
âI mean, isnât it too much?â
âUncle also wanted to thank you, Yuna-sama.â
That said, the girls were overwhelmed by the sheer volume and extravagance of the food. But in the end, they ate their fill.
After enjoying the Land of Harmony, we decided to return the next day.
âIs it really okay?â (Sakura)
Iâm sending Ruimin back to the elf village and picking up Kagali-san. While Iâm at it, I also decided to take Sakura and Shinobu to the elf village with us.
âYou did the contract magic, and I know that Sakura isnât the kind of girl who would go around telling anyone. You wouldnât, right?â (Yuna)
âYes, of course.â (Sakura)
âThough Shinobu is the suspicious one.â (Yuna)
âI wonât tell anyone. Iâll take it to the grave.â (Shinobu)
Well, if you did, youâll die laughing and literally go to the grave.
And so, weâre at the mansion that Kagali-san was using.
âFufu, Iâm looking forward to it.â (Sakura)
âItâs a little embarrassing to be able to see my village after seeing Sakura-chanâs country. Unlike Sakura-chanâs town, my village has nothing.â (Ruimin)
âI want to see the village where Ruimin-san lives, not because thereâs something there. Besides, itâs the place where Kagali-sama might live someday, so I want to see it with my own eyes.â (Sakura)
When she said that much, Ruimin couldnât say no.
âNow then, Iâll open it.â (Yuna)
I opened the door, which was connected to the bear transfer gate in the forest of the elf village and led them through the bear transfer gate.
Sakura was looking around restlessly.
âStill, itâs strange that the door in the room leads to the forest.â (Sakura)
âYes, I was surprised when I saw the door for the first time, too.â (Ruimin)
âMe too~â (Shuri)
âYes, me too. When Yuna-oneesan first told me about this door, I couldnât believe it.â (Fina)
Itâs no wonder, because when I told Fina, I didnât know much about the bear gate either.
I thought there might be a magic circle and magic tools.
At that time, I thought it was still a game-like world, but I learned that although there are some similarities, the fundamentals are different.
We head for the elven village, taking in the scenery around us.
âSo this is the village where Ruimin-san lives.â (Sakura)
âThereâs nothing, right?â (Ruimin)
âI think itâs a very nice, calm village.â (Sakura)
As she says itâs quiet and thereâs nothing to do.
But some people like this kind of calm atmosphere.
âSo, what should we do? Go get Kagali-san?â (Yuna)
âBefore that, I would like to say hello to Ruimin-sanâs parents.â (Sakura)
âYouâre going to meet my parents?â (Ruimin)
âAre we a bother?â (Sakura)
âItâs not like that. Itâs kind of embarrassing.â (Ruimin)
And so we went to Ruiminâs house and said hello to Ruiminâs parents Arthur and Thalia.
âThen you came from the same place as that Kagali-chan?â (Thalia)
âIs Kagali-sama causing you any trouble?â (Sakura)
âI donât know because heâs at father-in-lawâs place. She was a great drinker.â (Thalia)
According to the story, when she tried to scold Mumroot-san for giving alcohol to a child, she was told of Kagali-sanâs age.
âUu, thatâs embarrassing. Kagali-sama, what are you doing?â (Sakura)
Then, after we finished greetings, we went to Mumroot-sanâs house to pick up Kagali-san.
And without asking permission from the people who live there, as usual, we entered the house with Ruimin in the lead. Sakura and Shinobu hesitated at first, but when Ruimin said, âItâs okayâ, they entered the house together.
âAra, Ruimin, youâre back.â (Bana)
Mumroot-sanâs wife notices us.
âIâm home, Grandma. I think thereâs a little girl here named Kagali-san?â (Ruimin)
âYeah, there is, but now sheâs out with Mumroot.â (Bana)
It looks like we missed each other.
âDo you know where they went?â (Ruimin)
âThey said you were going out of the village.â (Bana)
âThank you, Grandma.â (Ruimin)
âThank you.â (Sakura)
We said goodbye and left the house.
âBut where are they outside?â (Sakura)
âSwaying Bear and Hugging Bear might find them.â (Yuna)
I summoned Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear to search for them.
Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear proceed through the forest as if to leave it to them. Then, they cried softly, âKuu~nâ.
âLooks like theyâre over there.â (Yuna)
âThereâs a lake just up ahead.â (Ruimin)
Just as Ruimin said a lake was there, the two happily talked.
âKagali-sama?â (Sakura)n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Sakura anxiously calls Kagali-sanâs name, so she turns around.
âOh, youâre here?â (Kagali)
âWeâre here to pick you upâ (Sakura)
âIs that so? Well then, I guess itâs time to go home.â (Kagali)
âWhat were you talking about with Mumroot-sama?â (Sakura)
âHow good is the sake, how quiet this place is, the people that were missed, and the people that I met. I was just telling him how nice this village is.â (Kagali)
ââ¦By any chance, do you want to live in this village? In that case, even if you stay hereâ¦â (Sakura)
Sakura spoke while trying hard to endure.
Kagali-san slowly approached Sakura and hugged her.
âIâve said it many times. Iâll watch over you until you grow up. Iâll leave when you find a husband who will stay by your side instead of me.â (Kagali)
âSo, if I donât get married, will you remain in the Land of Harmony?â (Sakura)
âThatâs not a bad idea, but I donât think a man would ignore a girl as pretty as you.â (Kagali)
â⦠Kagali-samaâ (Sakura)
âWell, it will be at least for another 10 years. What may seem like a short time to me is a long time to you. Besides, if I see your children, I may not want to leave them.â (Kagali)
âKagali-sama.â (Sakura)
âSo donât make such a sad face.â (Kagali)
âYes.â (Sakura)
Itâs supposed to be a heartwarming scene, but since the one doing the comforting is a little girl, itâs uncomfortable to watch.
This may be what they call a Gap Moe.
âIâm still a child, arenât I? If Kagali-sama wanted to stay here, I thought I would be fine with it. But when I saw you in front of me, the thought of you leaving made me sad.â (Sakura)
âYou are more mature than other children, but you are still a child. Iâm taking the role of your mother, so you can rely on me instead.â (Kagali)
âKagali-sama.â (Sakura)
And for a short time, I guided Sakura and Shinobu through the elf village. Ruimin was embarrassed by the fact that there was nothing there, but the two of them, who had never seen anything like this before, seemed to be enjoying themselves.
âWell, thank you for your help.â (Kagali)
âThank you very much, Yuna-sama. I was happy to see Ruimin-sanâs village.â (Sakura)
âI had a valuable experience.â (Shinobu)
We said goodbye to Sakura, Kagali-san, and Shinobu in front of the bear gate.
âFina-chan, Shuri-chan too, until we meet again.â (Sakura)
âYes.â (Fina)
âUn.â (Shuri)
The three went through the bear gate that led to the Land of Harmony.
Then the bear gate closed as we were watching Sakura bowing.
âThen shall we go home too?â (Yuna)
âYes.â (Fina)
âUn.â (Shuri)
âWell then, Ruimin, see you later.â (Yuna)
âYes. Next time, Iâd like to go to your town, Yuna-san.â (Ruimin)
âYep, next time.â (Yuna)
âIâll look forward to it.â (Ruimin)
I opened the bear gate connected to my bear house in Crimonia. After Fina and Shuri entered, I closed the door, and then collected the bear gate.
âNow then, Iâll be going too.â (Yuna)
âYes. Please come again.â (Ruimin)
I used the bear gate in the bear house at the sacred tree to return to Crimonia. When I moved from the room with the bear gate to the living room, Fina was sitting on the sofa and Shuri was sleeping, leaning against Fina.
âShe was tired. She fell asleep when we sat down. Iâll wake her up now.â (Fina)
âItâs okay. Iâll just carry her on my back to your home.â (Yuna)
I put Shuri on my back and headed to Finaâs house.
âDid you have fun?â (Yuna)
âYes. I enjoyed it very much.â (Fina)
âThatâs good to hear.â (Yuna)
âBut itâs surreal. I get to know people from places I donât even know where that place actually is, talk to them, and even make friends. I even promised to meet them again sometime in the future.â (Fina)
Fina talked happily.
âUntil I met Yuna-oneechan, I never thought I would be able to experience something like this. At that time, I was worried about when Mom would die, so all I could think about was myself and Shuri.â (Fina)
Fina smiles when she sees Shuri sleeping comfortably on my back.
âYuna-oneesan. Thank you. Iâm glad I met Yuna-oneesan.â (Fina)
âIâm glad I got to meet you too, Fina.â (Yuna)
âI think this birthday will be an unforgettable one, learning magic and going to various places.â (Fina)
âIâm happy, but if you say that, it would just make me want to make your next birthday even more unforgettable.â (Yuna)
âYuna-oneechan, if you give any more than this, I wonât be able to return it.â (Fina)
âIâm also getting a lot from you, Fina.â (Yuna)
In my former world, I was often alone. But when I came to this world, I met Fina, and through her, I was able to meet many people. I am grateful to Fina for that.
As we are talking about this, we see Finaâs house.
And then, I returned the two daughters that I had been entrusted with, to Tirumina-san.
After dropping off Fina and Shuri home, Tirumina-san invited me to dinner, and I was treated to a feast.
I often ate alone in the past, but now I often eat with various people for company.
Now then, what should we do tomorrow?

Authorâs Note:
This is the end of the birthday arc, and itâs partially completed.
I wanted to complete a part of it, so I feel like Iâm supplementing various things, and Iâm sorry that the birthday edition was long.
Even though itâs partially completed, Yunaâs adventure will continue⦠(Until the author gets tired of it.)
I donât think the second part will be much differentâ¦â¦
I am grateful to the many people who have read this far. You have allowed me to continue writing up to this point.
I was also encouraged by the feedback, bookmarks, and ratings.
Thank you so much.
Also, thank you for the reports of typos and errors.
I believe that your reporting makes it easier for readers to read later.
I canât thank you enough.
And on the next topic, I would like to take a break for a while (a month maybe?).
Bookwork on volume 15 and tax returns (tax reports).
This is because I have a lot of other work to do and I donât think I will be able to write calmly because of the overlapping workload.
Please understand.
I will resume as soon as possible after the bookwork is finished.
Currently, I am looking for 15 SS short stories and 3 SS comics for the activity report.
I hope that my (authorâs brain) will be stimulated.
