Bear-san Sends Noa Home
The Bear Transfer Gate opened and led to Crimonia.
âSwaying Bear and Hugging Bear, help carry Blitz and the others.â (Yuna)
ââKu~unââ
The Blitz and the others were sleeping quietly in the Bear Bus.
I slowly put them on Swaying Bear and Hugging Bearâs back so as not to wake them up.
After crossing the Bear Transfer Gate, I laid Blitz and the others down in the bedroom on the second floor of the Bear House.
The sleeping powder must have worked well because they didnât wake up while they were transported.
âIs this really a town far from the fairy forest?â (Ronne)
Ronne looked out the window of the Bear House.
âItâs a town called Crimonia, and Noa is the daughter of the Lord of this town.â (Yuna)
âIs that so?â (Ronne)
âYes, thatâs right. But father is not the kind of person who would do anything to a fairy, so donât worry.â (Noa)
âI met Noaâs father, too, and he wasnât a bad person.â (Primme)
Ronne looked out the window as if she were stuck to it.
âSo, how long before the Blitz and the others will wake up?â (Yuna)
I asked Primme, who was putting a blanket over the Blitz and the others, and Ronne, who was looking out the window.
âIt depends on the personâs sleep condition. If a person is sleep-deprived, getting up will take a while. Someone who gets enough sleep wakes up fast. Sleeping powder is something that induces sleep in a person.â
In other words, it depends on the personâs physical condition.
If the body was tired or sleep-deprived, it would take longer to wake up.
If they were in good shape and slept well, they would wake up earlier.
In the end, since I didnât know when Blitz and the others would wake up, I had one last job to do.
That was to send Noa to Cliffâs place.
âWell, Iâm going to take Noa home, what about you two?â (Noa)
âIâm going, I have to thank Noaâs father.â (Primme)
ââ¦Iâm going with you. All this happened because of me.â (Ronne)
âI donât mind if you guys join us, but I donât want you to be seen by others. It will cause a commotion, so hide in Noaâs pouch or disappear.â (Yuna)
âOkay, Iâll disappear then.â (Ronne)
âMe too.â (Primme)
âI canât see Primme-san anymore.â (Noa)
Noaâs eyes were now unable to see Primme-san.
âBut you can see me, right?â (Ronne)
âYes, I can see Ronne-san.â (Noa)
âBut instead, Yuna canât see me anymore.â (Ronne)
Maybe I should just tell her now.
âWell, I was wondering when I should tell you. But I can see Ronne, as well.â (Yuna)
Ronne was surprised by my words.
âNo way!â (Ronne)
âI could also see you when Ryan-san was doing his little experiment. I didnât tell you about it at that time because I thought it would complicate things.â (Yuna)
âSo Yuna-san is also a partner for Ronne-san?â (Noa)
I shook my head.
âIt doesnât mean weâre partners. I think I can see all the fairies.â (Yuna)
âYouâre kidding.â (Noa)
âThatâs just my guess.â (Yuna)
Maybe thanks to the Bear Equipment, I could see all the fairies.
It was a God-granted cheat equipment, after all.
But there was no way to confirm it now.
The only way to confirm it was if there were other fairies here.
In fact, miraculously, it may be possible that I was really compatible with two fairies, Primme and Ronne. And all of this had nothing to do with Bear Equipment, but that also meant the other fairies may not be visible to me.
I couldnât bring any other fairies to confirm it, so I would not be able to verify this right now.
But I also wondered about what the Fairy Queen said.
Nostalgic Magic Power.
It could have something to do with that.
âItâs not fair that only Yuna-san can see the two of you.â (Noa)
I didnât want to hear such a statement.
I think this was a blessing from God as well.
I calmed Noa down and left the Bear House.
âWe have finally returned to Crimonia, havenât we?â (Noa)
Noa looked around her and said, with a somber look on her face.
âA lot has happened, but this is the end, right? Iâm a little sad.â (Noa)
If there were a beginning, there would be an end.
When it ends, you just have to start something new.
But Iâd like to relax for a while.
âAfter coming back to Crimonia, I feel like Iâm back in reality. Everything that has happened before seems like a dream and a strange experience.â (Noa)
Well, we encountered many unusual things on our journey.
Fairies, and then for Noa, the Bear Transfer Gate as well.
As we were having this conversation, Noaâs house came into view.
As soon as we approached the house, the gatekeeper noticed and contacted Lala-san, who led us to the room where Cliff was.
âFather!â (Noa)
Noa ran up to Cliff.
âAre you hurt?â (Cliff)
âNo, Iâm fine.â (Noa)
Noa smiled at Cliff.
Cliff was relieved to see her smile.
âOh, I see. But it looks like you were quite late.â (Cliff)
Cliff looked at me.
I replied âWell, thereâs been a lot going on, you see.â
âBefore we get into all that, what happened with the fairies?â (Cliff)
âThanks to Noa, we found Primmeâs sister. Primme, Ronne, can you two show yourself?â (Yuna)
Cliffâs eyes turned to Primme and Ronne, who were standing by Noaâs side, as I called out to them.
âSo they came here with you.â (Cliff)
âYeah, they said they had to thank you.â (Yuna)
âSo that fairy is Primmeâs sister.â (Cliff)
âYes, thatâs Ronne. Noa has been a big help to us in finding her.â (Yuna)
âIâm glad you found her. I hope Noaâs part in all of this is over.â (Cliff)
âYes, thank you, it was a great success thanks to your daughter.â (Primme)
Cliff expressed relief at those words.
âSo, are you going to explain what happened?â (Cliff)
I told Cliff what I could.
âA fairy-obsessed human ran amok, huh? Even abandoning the role of Lord and tormenting the people.â (Cliff)
âSo, Father. Do you know where a country named Sahel is located?â (Noa)
âNever heard of it. I do know of a cluster of small nations across the sea. It might be one of them. If you ask the name of a large country nearby, then I might be able to tell you.â (Cliff)
âSo there are some things even Cliff doesnât know.â (Yuna)
âLocal lords are like that. The most someone like me would be involved with is a neighboring country. And the chance of getting involved with a country across the sea is almost slim to none.â (Cliff)
If you put it that way, I couldnât say anything.
Not knowing the names of countries he had no connection with was to be expected.
Even I knew very little about small countries in the Middle East and Africa, including their names and exact locations, in my previous life.
I sometimes wondered where even the prefectures of Japan were located.
I think only a Geoguesser would know all the countriesâ names and locations.
(Editorâs Note: Google it, it is a legitimate competition)
In this other world, I am curious to know if there is even a detailed world map available.
âIf you really want to know, ask Ellelaura in the royal capital. If itâs your request, Iâm sure sheâll look into it.â (Cliff)
âHmmm, Iâll ask her if I feel like it.â (Yuna)
The fact was that it didnât matter where that town was. The Bear Transfer Gate was already in place.
I have no plans to go on a boat to that town.
âAnd thereâs one more thing. I have to tell you something.â (Yuna)
âWhat?â (Cliff)
âDonât you think something is weird?â (Yuna)
âWhat do you mean by weird?â (Cliff)
Cliff looked at us, but didnât seem to notice anything strange.
âI donât understand what you are implying. What do you think is weird?â (Cliff)
âAbout you being able to see fairies?â (Yuna)
âWasnât that a compatibility thing? So most people canât see fairies⦠ahâ (Cliff)
After saying all that, he seemed to realize what was going on.
Cliff looked at Ronne.
âHow is it possible that I can see them?â (Cliff)
âSimply put, it seems like Noa and I are compatible with them.â (Yuna)
âNoa?â (Cliff)
âItâs not me who is special, Yuna-san is compatible with both Primme-san and Ronne-san. I canât believe it.â (Noa)
Cliffâs eyes, which had been watching Noa, turned to me.
âIs that so?â (Cliff)
âThat seems to be the case.â (Yuna)
âWho really are you, Yuna? Youâre more mysterious than any mysteries I have been involved with.â (Cliff)
âIâm just an ordinary adventurer.â (Yuna)
âDo you want a mirror? Thereâs one right there.â (Cliff)
Cliff pointed to a mirror hanging on the wall.
Was he asking me to look at myself?
I didnât need to look; I already knew that I was dressed like a bear.
And that I wasnât an ordinary adventurer.
âWell, does it matter?â (Yuna)
âNo problem. I just thought Iâd let you know. Besides, I donât think Iâll be seeing Primme and Ronne that often.â (Yuna)
âIâll come visit you, okay?â (Ronne)
Ronne denied what I had said.
âReally?â (Noa)
âBecause I promised Ryan that I would. You promised Ryan that you would be my friend.â (Ronne)
Ryan did ask for it.
But I didnât expect to hear it from Ronne.
âNot only my sister, but Iâm coming to visit as well.â (Primme)
In other words, it sounded like both sisters were coming to visit me and Noa.
âCliff, first of all, I want to warn you not to spread rumors about fairies.â (Yuna)
There were people in this world who approached fairies with malicious intent. Sometimes, even goodwill could turn into malice.
âI wonât talk about it.â (Cliff)
âAlso, you shouldnât even try to study fairies.â (Yuna)
âNo one is going to!â (Cliff)
âWhat? Does that mean youâre not interested in us?â (Primme)
âWhy would I? You are friends with Yuna and Noa, arenât you?â (Cliff)
âYes.â (Primme)
âI consider myself a decent person. I donât want to study my daughterâs precious friends. Above all, I donât see the benefit of picking a fight with that bear.â (Cliff)
âYou mean youâd do it if I wasnât involved?â (Yuna)
âDonât get carried away. Fairies can make people either miserable or happy. It depends on how humans and fairies interact with each other. Itâs the same with humans. So, Iâm not going to do anything as long as you guys donât harm my daughter.â (Cliff)
In other words, if you do something terrible to his daughter, heâll take action.
Well, thatâs normal for any loving father.
âYou wouldnât do anything terrible to Noa, would you?â (Cliff)
âI wonât. I promise that.â (Ronne)
After the discussion, Noa made arrangements to meet Primme and Ronne.
Noa then happily told Cliff about her experience.
âThank you Yuna, I think Noa had gained a valuable experience.â (Cliff)
âIâm glad it was a good experience for her because I want Noa to become a respectable noblewoman.â (Yuna)
âI am already a respectable young lady.â (Noa)
Noa said proudly.
Cliff and I laughed at her.
Finally, as Noa started to look sleepy, perhaps relieved to be home, I left Noaâs house with Primme and Ronne.
We returned to the Bear House and went to the fairy mirror.
âYuna, thank you so much. If it werenât for you, I wouldnât have been able to help my sister.â (Primme)
âIt was tough, but Iâm glad I was able to help you.â (Yuna)
After all, in the end, I let Blitz kill the Lord instead of doing it myself.
âThank you, Yuna and Noa, for saving Ryan.â (Ronne)
Ronne also thanked me again.
âAre you sure you donât want to go see Ryan-san?â (Yuna)
âNo, I donât want to go see him. Iâm sure that Ryan will come to see me when heâs ready. I will wait until then.â (Ronne)
I have no idea when that would be.
But I do not doubt that Ryan-san would come to see her.
âWell, I have to report to the Queen, so weâre going home.â (Ronne)
âAlright.â (Yuna)
âSwaying Bear, Hugging Bear. Thank you. It felt so good riding on your fur.â (Primme)
ââKuu~unââ
âAnd tell Blitz and the others thank you, as well.â (Ronne)
âI will.â (Yuna)
âPrimme, letâs go.â (Ronne)
âYes.â (Primme)
She touched the fairy mirror as she looked at us longingly.
âYuna, Iâll see you again!â (Ronne)
With these words, Primme and Ronne entered the fairy mirror as if they were being sucked into it.
I approached the fairy mirror and touched it.
I was not sucked into it. It was just like a normal mirror.
It was just me in the mirror, dressed as a bear.
I took the fairy mirror, carried it into the room where the Bear Transfer Gate was located, and hung it on the wall.
Just as I was done, I heard a voice calling me from outside.
I opened the door to find an out-of-breath Fina.
âYuna Onee-chan, youâre back.â (Fina)
Seeing Fina made me feel like I was home.
âFina, Iâm home.â (Yuna)
âWelcome home.â (Fina)
When Fina smiled, I smiled as well.
