All of it was happening in an instant. And she knew none of it was good, because none of it felt good.
She tired to free herself from the son of a bitch, who held her like that. Turning around to see who that person was, Amelia was surprised to meet a familiar face.
The light fell on one side of the face, but she could easy recognize the person standing in front of her.
"Like what you see?", Nick said.
"Are you crazy?", she lashed out.
"Hey, babe it's me", he said.
"Babe?", abhorrently she said.
"Ohhhh come on, you think I don't know?", he said.
Amelia looked at him folding her arms on her chest, moving a step back from him.
Nick stopped in his track, placing his hands in the pockets of the jeans, he looked at her.
"You don't need to pretend, I know everything", he said.
Not wanting to listening to his terroriser anymore, she gave him one last detested look, and moved past him keeping her eyes to the door next.
Nick wanted to stop her, and to do so he placed a hand on her shoulder, but before it could be placed there properly, Amelia, shrugged it after looking at him in shook.
"Don't ever do that again", she said looking at him in the eyes, giving him a warning.
She moved out of the room, closing the door behind her leaving him in complete darkness.
Nick couldn't take his eyes off her slim thick body, and a smile plastered his face, as Amelia left the room. He expected her to be sweet, but feisty wasn't bad as well. He shook his head and smiled remembering the moment he held her in his arms. Her soft, warm figure, engulfed in his stronger, wider one.
Walking to the end of the hallway, Amelia felt a certain pain, like that of a needle in the cut of her foot. She stopped and leaned on the wall, trying to relax her foot. To take her mind off it, she looked up, and around in the hallway.
As she looked diagonally, in front of her, was the conference room. She could stop a figure, through the little glass design work on the wooden door.
Not bothered about the pain anymore, she firmed her foot on the floor, and stepped towards the door. She regretted looking inside, at the very first instant, but what she had seen couldn't be undone.
With tears forming in her eyes, she took one last look, before turning around and rushing back up on the reception.
"Good evening ma'am", the receptionist say.
She nodded, but to hide her emotional state at the moment from others, she kept her head to the ground, as she fastened her steps to the door.
She couldn't take the pain now, not of the foot, but the one she felt, there. There, somewhere, where the heart is.
Feelings they say.
Love they say.
Heart they say.
Pain they say.
Pain.
The one that suffocates you.
The one that makes you gasp for air.
The one which make you cry.
The one that feels like a burden, there.
There, where the heart is.
That one.
That is how she felt walking to her room now.
Entering the villa, she ascended the stairs, and hopped on the bed, taking a pillow to suppress her cry.
She laid there, on her stomach, and cried.
Why did she look through the glass?
Why was he there?
"Hey", Marco said as he opened the door to her room, looking around, seeing Amelia, crying, he continued, " what happened to you?", he said as he sat down next to her lying down figure.
"Amy, what's the matter?", he asked again, when she refused to raise her head from the pillow. He could hear her muffled cry, and he felt a pain raise inside him because of that.
Placing a hand on her head, he slowing moved it, to calm her down.
He felt the touch of her soft, light brown silky hair, as he paced his hand.
After what felt like hours, thought it was 10 minutes on the clock, Amelia raised her head.
She had stopped crying, but her nose was red. And so were her eyes.
"You look like a tomato", Marco said pulling her cheeks.
Amelia goggled, rubbing the tears off her cheeks, with the sleeve of her angora sweater.
As she did that, she realised it didn't felt good, the feeling of angora wool rubbing the wet skin.
Yes, it is irritating, like keeping it between the teeth. Irritating.
That is what the two felt looking at the sweater.
And they laughed.
"Finally", Marco said taking a breath of relief.
Amelia looked at him as she smiled.
The two of them decided to sit on the swing outside her room, on the terrace, after Marco ordered some coffee for them.
The two of them sat together, on the light swing, sipping the coffee, and looking at the fog in front of them.
It was a beautiful, evening. The typical hilly foggy ones.
"Where are the others?", Marco asked.
"Tyler and Jack are at the spa", Amelia said.
"You won't ask how the trip to the town was?", Marco asked.
Amelia remembered the moment she saw him, in the conference room listening to Marco.
Coming back to the present she looked up from the coffee mug, keeping her eyes fixed to a spot in the fog, she said, "How was it?".
"Well it was good", he said.
"Good", she responded still lost in her thoughts.
Marco looking at his mug now, said " I just wish I could see the game parlour as well".
"Why didn't you?", she asked looking at him now.
"Bella, she wanted to cut the outing short", he said, "And no one messes with the boss", he chucked.
Amelia listened to him, and as the words slowly registered in her mind, she couldn't connect the dots.
Why would Bella cut a trip short, that she wanted to go to?
She remembered it all now.
The way Shawn leaned on the table, with his arms on both side of her, while they shared a hot heated kiss.
And who he shared it with? Bella.
"Where are you lost?", Marco said.
"We are back", they heard Jack announcing from the lower floor of the villa.
"Sure are", Amelia said responding to Jacks announcement, as the two laughed.
Marco took the two cups, and Amelia closed the door of the terrace behind her as the two, descended the stairs.
"Why are you red?", Tyler said as soon as he looked at Amelia.
"I told you", Marco turned around mid step on the stair, "you look like a tomato", he whispered, loud enough to to be heard by the others.
Amelia looked to the ground, and that was enough for Tyler to know the reason. It was Shawn.
"Why didn't you pick our calls?", Tyler looked at her.
"When did you call?", Amelia said fetching the pocket of her jeans.
"My phone?", She whispered, "Shoot!", she said panicking a little, "I forgot it", now placing a hand on her forehead.
"What? Where?", Marco asked.
"Ahhhhhh, the reception", she said.
"I'll call the reception", Jack said moving towards the phone.
"No, its in the dance room, below reception", she finally admitted.
"No questions please", she said, looking at the three of them turn by turn.
Tyler threw his hands up in submission.
As soon as Jack dialed the number, the door bell rang.
Since Amelia was now closer to its direction, she opened the door. Nick leaned on the door frame, looking at Amelia, trying to give his dreamy eyes to her. She frowned at him, and seeing the sudden change in her expressions, Nick spoke before she would threw him out of the porch.
"Hey, hey, hey", he said fetching his pockets and bringing a phone up in his hands.
"You forgot this there, so I thought, I should return it", he said, taking breathy paused in between. Amelia snatched the phone from his hands, and with her right hand, moved the door to close it on his face. He stepped a foot in the door, stopping it from closing.
"Listen, it was just a misunderstanding, I thought you were someone else, an it was dark, and you know what I mean, right?", he said giving her puppy eyes.
Amelia looked at him in the eyes.
This time with a serious tone he opened his mouth to speak again, "I am sorry, I really am. I shouldn't have had done what I did, Forgive, Please", he sai stressing the last to words.
Not wanting to argue anymore, scratching the side of her eyebrow, she kept her eyes to the ground saying, "Forgiven, leave now".
"Amy is there any problem", Marco said approaching the door looking at Nick with a very serious look.
"No, he was just leaving", Amelia said, pointing at Nick with her open hand.
Nick looked at Marco, as he stood next to Amelia, then turning his gaze to her said, "Bye, Lia".
He turned around, and stepped off the porch, before he was stopped in his track.
"Nick", Amelia said.
""Turning around he looked in her direction.
"It's Amelia", she said with a dead serious tone.
Nick's expression changed from a soft sweet smile to a frown in a matter of seconds. He was next met with a door banging right on his face.
"Who was that crack head?", Tyler asked standing to the left of the door.
"Nobody", Amelia said moving past the two of her friends, towards the kitchen.
After an hour of watching Supernaturals, Marco received a message from Bella.
"Guys, Bella's at the bar, her treat, she is calling", Marco said getting off the couch all excited.
"Beer night", Jack said jumping in excitement.
"I'm not feeling well guys, I'll be in my room", Amelia said.
"No, we aren't going without you", Tyler said.
"I really can't Ty", she said.
"Fine", Tyler said folding his arms on his chest.
"He is a hard nut to crack", Marco whispered, earning a glare from Tyler.
"Come on Amy, this will cheer you up", Jack said.
After arguing for 5 minutes, Amelia was standing outside the villa house, as the others fetched their coats. No one was ready to take a no from her, specially today. She didn't want to face Bella. She made her feel disguisted of Shawn. He was no different from the other guys.
They entered the bar to find a drunk Bella at the bar counter. She was already a few drinks down "Bella, hey", Jack said looking at her condition.
"I'm so happy today", she said looking at them.
"How many drinks are you down?", Tyler raised an eyebrow at her, as Marco helped her down the bar stood, and moved her to the couch.
They sat on the table around her. They ordered the drinks, and started drinking as their drinks arrived at the table.
"Why are you happy btw?", asked Marco, sipping his drink.
"I found the love of my life", she said looking at Amelia now.
Hearing this Amelia's eyes filled with tears, as images of the two kissing, flashed in front of her eyes.
"Wooaaaahhhhh, seriously, Bella , love?", Jack said.
"Who?", Tyler asked, looking at his drink.
"Hmmmmmmmmmm", Bella hummed, in excitement looking at Amelia.
"Excuse me", she said as before rushing towards the exit. Her eyes hurt from all the crying now, but she couldn't stop herself anymore now. Looking at the clear sky, she placed the her hands on her chest, holding herself from falling apart. For the very first time, she allowed anyone to come this close to her.
She felt betrayed and used.
She felt a hand on her shoulders, and turning around, she saw Tyler standing there. Before she knew, she found herself in his arms.
"What?", he asked rubbing her back to calm her hiccups from all the crying now.
"Shawn, he's been playing with Bella and me", she said finally resting her head on his chest.
"Playing?", he asked her.
"I saw the two making out, today", she said.
"The two of you went together, didn't you?", he asked.
"He took me to a little backyard near the storeroom, and then the waiter called him.................... I waited for him in the reception", she said. She didn't tell him the complete truth. And she didn't want to focus on anything else now. All she had on her mind right now was the devil, and how he had successfully binded her friend and her, in his web.
"Bella, can't be played around with", he said looking at her in the eye.
