Bathing in the sun that emitted from the blinds, it's small cracks whispering on our skin as I opened my eyes to feel a weight on top of my chest.
What happened last night?
Right, Jimin came over and-

Getting up and sitting up straight, my head tilted down to look down at my chest.
My bare chest, seeing a head of hair laying under the covers making me smile. My hand lifting from under the covers to grab my phone from the nightstand and my other hand stroking her hair.
Opening my phone and checking the time, it was only ten am and today was April 11th.
Which also means,
This girl who was on my chest, it was her birthday.
Including my sunshine who's turning six years old today.
The big twenty five for the both of us.

With a smile on my face, I placed my phone back on the nightstand. Instead opting to go back into bed, sliding down back into the covers and placing my chin on top of her head, staring out into the window, out onto the blue sky.
When I was five years old, I met her on a schoolyard. The type of place where you would be playing with your friends and everything, kicking around a football with the teacher watching all over us.
But instead, there I was. Cowering away in a corner by the side of the school building where this tom-boyish girl walks up to me. A mean-ish look on her face and her hand out for me to grab.
Telling me to grab and play with her since the boys were being to her and I was the only one who was nice to her in the class.
And you know?
I don't regret taking her hand that day.
Because from five years old to thirteen.
We used to live in this comfortable small neighborhood where all the kids used to live near each other and hang out but instead, I just hung out with her.
Every day, we learned how to cry, laugh out loud until our backs hurt while holding our stomachs.
How to love each other and it eventually became more than that.
From turning our eyes away from each other to having awkward conversations staring out to the stars in the middle of the night because we wanted to see each other again and would sneak out of our houses.
Holding hands awkwardly, my hands used to be so sweaty I thought it would just make her feel weird.
But she embraced that part of me.
Then learning how to kiss but we didn't know how to because we were just smushing our faces against each other.
Growing up into our late teens before it happened.
Learning to make love to each other and how much it truly meant to do it. Understanding what our relationship truly was. How much we meant to each other.
That was me and Jimin.
That was just us.
And now after six years apart, it's like nothing changed except that we're adults.
That she has her career and that I have mine.
Sure her's is a bit more different.
Well, way more different than mine.
It's like we were teens again.
Just holding nothing back when it came to our private time with each other.
Caressing each other's cheeks, telling each other how our day was, how much I loved her or how much she loved me.
With the exception of, how much did I spend on shit again for Jinae or for stuff I don't need but that's another conversation we'll have.
She's not going to stop me from enjoying my hobbies.
Or maybe should I get her to try it out?
But the last time it didn't go so well since she thought it was a bit 'boring' but she'll learn to understand it eventually.
I stared out the windows, wondering about these thoughts of mine. On how much it's changed between us until I felt a little movement from her. Making me look down at her and seeing her slowly groan and look up at me
Kar - urgh.....
Smacking her lips, she looked around the room for a bit, her eyes half open before bringing her hand up and wiping her eyes from the sand.
Kar - g- good morning-
Y/N - hey there. Good morning.
With no hesitation, all of her strength is currently within her. She pushed herself up and kissed me on the lips, no questions further where she pulled away from me with a smirk on her face
Kar - call me beautiful
Y/N - well, you are beautiful

Scrunching her nose, her eyes finally opened up fully. It was nice seeing her like this, I really missed it after a long time. With a little movement under the covers, her arms came out of there and pulled themselves above my chest. Wrapping her arms around my neck.

Kar - did you wear a condom last night?
Y/N - no? We never do
Kar - huh.
Y/N - I did outside
Kar - well you should've done it inside

With a grin, my hand immediately went down to her butt, pulling her up closer to me where she let out an audible moan.

Our affection tension at a all time high, we were interrupted by the door knob squirming around making her roll over to the side of the bed, the both of us covering ourselves up before the door opened to reveal a very awake muffin
Jinae - papa! Unnie! It's my birthday!
A very happy and excited look on her face, she didn't take long to run and jump onto the bed, going on her hands to crawl up to us, lying down in the middle as she laughed out loud.
Sitting up and pushing myself up, I already started to ruffle her hair and tickle her with a proud smile on her face
Y/N - that's right! It's your birthday! Happy birthday!
Jimin caught on immediately, joining in with me but instead, she did it from under the covers since well, we were still pretty much naked and I don't think she would want to expose her chest to Jinae.
After a small bit of playing with her, Jinae laid with us staring at the ceiling where we talked
Y/N - so what do you want to do muffin?
Jinae - hmmmmmmmmm
Kar - do you want to go anywhere?
Jinae - I- uhmmmm- I want to go to the amusement park!
Y/N - alright sure!
Kar - do you want to go on the rides with us and have yummy food?
Jinae - yeah!
Y/N - well for the princess of the day, absolutely!
Jinae - yay!
Kar - alright sweetie, how about you let your papa and me get up first?
Y/N - oh- yeah. Muffin how about you draw a picture of me and your Jimin-unnie and you going to the amusement park?
Jinae - okay!
Jumping up from the bed and excitedly getting out of the bed, me and Jimin looked at each other with a side eye before she ran out of the room happily giggling which echoed throughout the apartment.
Y/N - I- uh-
Taking the covers and jumping out of bed as well, rushing over to the door where I quickly closed it and locked it. Taking a breath to sigh, looking over to her where she hid her face under the covers.
Y/N - fuck I didn't expect her to be awake
Kar - I know- all my goodies are still out
Y/N - so is mine and you're getting a real good view right now
Kar - well- we can save that for tonight if you want
Y/N - yeah sure
Scratching the back of my head, she laughed while I walked over to her, sitting on the edge of the bed beside.
Hearing her get up from the bed, wrapping her arms around the back of my neck before resting her chin on my shoulder, kissing my neck softly.
Kar - so this what it would've been like huh?
Y/N - absolutely.
Kar - now I'm really regretting taking the deal
Y/N - it's fine, can't change it after all
Kar - this over being an idol? Yeah maybe being a mom would've made me happier
Y/N - but you would've regretted not being an idol if this was us five years later
Kar - well, either way. We're still here, taking care of our Jinae together. And I wouldn't have it either way

Turning my head to look at her slightly, the both of us leaned into each other to share a sweet yet passionate kiss with each other, the sun shining down on us indicating it's finally maybe time for us to get out of bed and change.

Jinae - wh- whiplash!
It's about a few hours into the afternoon, going down the road to Lotte world. We just had our dinner and our outfits were contrasting to say the least.
I opted for more of a casual streetwear look with my usual faded and used jacket that I always wear, which made Jimin groan a bit when she saw me wearing it since I've used this jacket in everything I've done spanning back about seven years ago when she gifted it to me.
It's seen some things and trust me, it's full of dirt and mud I still can't wash off and in a way, it shows off my accolades.
Meanwhile, me and Jimin extensively planned out Jinae's outfit. We argued for a bit about it but then eventually we just let her choose it. Going for my pick more, but that's just bias.
I am proud of you for choosing mine though Jinae. Remember that.
And Jimin, well. Her usual self except with a mask this time.
We do NOT want a repeat of last time and as much as she doesn't want to wear a mask, it's just for the sake of our family again.

Glancing at the rearview mirror, seeing Jinae in her booster seat bobbing her head along with the song while looking out the window and seeing to herself before looking back onto the road

Kar - you're lucky we still had all of our old merch in storage, I had to steal them when no one was looking

The both of us laughed to each other. As I went to the next gear, my hand resting on the transmission stick, her hand laid on top of mine.

I pulled into a free spot, the sun still out as though we would be inside. It'll be nice, you know?
Me and Jimin immediately got into taking out our seat belts, Jinae's happy mood while she clapped her hands and started humming to herself, almost bouncing up and down in her seat.

Kar - we'll get you out in a second
My hand on the car door, about to go out. I turned my neck back for a glance at Jiminy who shot me a small smile before opening the door and getting out of the driver's side.
Gently closing the car door, she and I saw each other standing up in front of our car doors, where I scratched the back of my head.
Y/N - do you think that family discount is still on?
Kar - I swear it's still on
Y/N - I don't want to pay much except for food and stuff, and I still got to get her gift
Kar - I know, me too. Uhm- we'll see when we get inside.
Nodding in agreement, we both went over to the back doors, opening them both and leaning into the car where Jimin took off Jinae's seatbelt while I was preparing her to lift her out of her seat.
Kar - are you excited?!

Y/N - that's a good muffin, do you want to go with your Jimin-unnie or with me?
Jinae - Jimin-unnie!

Switching our roles around, taking out her seatbelt as Jimin got to taking her out of the car in her arms.
After all said and done, we both closed the car doors, meeting up with each other while walking over to the entrance, holding Jinae up in her left arm but quickly holding hands with her right to me.
Y/N - it's nice out don't you think?
Kar - yeah it is, maybe the beach would've been cool
Y/N - yeah maybe, but it's Jinae's wish ain't it?
Turning my body towards Jinae, giving her a little tickle making her laugh before walking back to the entrance.
Upon reaching the entrance, me and Jimin looked at each other after hearing the price, and yes we did get the family discount.
Y/N - I'll pay for it
Kar - no way, I'll do it
Y/N - you may be the breadwinner but come on and let me
Kar - you know what, let Jinae decide for us
The both of us hurried to take our wallets, holding it up in front of Jinae. My eyes wide open with desperate written all over my face
Y/N - Jinae, muffin. Which one do you pick?
Kar - pick mine Jinae
Watching Jinae closely, putting her finger on her mouth looking at both of our wallets before pointing to the one she chose.
Jinae - this one!
Kar - yeah that's right!
Ultimately, she chose Jimin's making me put away mine.
Kar - Yeobo, take my card out of my wallet please
Y/N - as you wish
Taking her wallet from her, opening it up and taking her card out of her wallet. I got a quick glance of a polaroid there.
It was a picture of me and her from when we were sixteen.
Good times. I think I remember the moment when she took it.
I think anyway.
That's a long time ago.
Taking her card out and holding her wallet in my other hand after letting go of her hand, tapping it onto the machine before placing the card back in her wallet and handing it back to her.

The cashier gave us our tickets, bowing and thanking her as we walked in.
Jinae - I'm so excited!
Hoiding Jimin's hand again by her side, we were greeted by the colossal size of the park where there were family alike and teens who wanted to just spend the day off together.
Y/N - brings back memories doesn't it?
Shooting her a nostalgic remark, she softly laughed. Scrunching her face to show that she felt cheery about it
Kar - really does. You still get motion sick?
Y/N - I don't know but let's test it out.
Walking confidently into the park, it came to me that we should capture this moment together with the three of us. So, nudging her on the shoulder she turned her neck to me while we walked
Y/N - hey, wanna take a photo with the three of us together?
Kar - yeah sure
Letting go of my hand to take her phone out, silently stopping her before she could lift it up in front of us.
Kar - what?
Y/N - I meant with a photo booth

With a surprised face, she placed her phone back in her pocket and merrily grabbed my hand, bringin it up to her face and kissing my hand through her mask.
Kar - this really does make me feel like we were teens again, just this time with our daughter.
Y/N - yeah.

Leaning in and ruffling Jinae's hair, her happy content face excited probably with the thoughts of having to spend the day with me and her mom that she doesn't really know about yet. But time will come eventually.
Walking around and looking for a free photo booth that wasn't occupied, we stumbled upon one eventually where we got inside and quickly fixed ourselves up. Being met with the screen wondering about our choices and the amount of head decor below us
Jinae - I wanna wear the tiara!
Pointing to the tiara below us in the box, I immediately squatted down and grabbed it. Putting it on top of her head where Jimin looked to me
Kar - I wanna wear one too

Letting go of my hand and taking off her mask and chucking it into her pocket, she scrunched her nose. Kissing her on the nose while looking down below again, I noticed another tiara which was a bit more subtle than the one that Jinae was wearing. Squatting down and taking it while Jimin was distracted, placing it on top of her.
She turned to me, seeing a glint in her eyes while Jinae was restless in her arms.

Blushing softly, she looked away from me. Tucking her cheek into her shoulder out of embarrassment.
Kar - I-

She almost spoke softly to me, turning to the screen where I chose our selection of options before starting.
Y/N - alright let's get a normal one
Putting up a peace sign, Jimin kissed Jinae on the cheek which was for the first photo before changing to me and her going back to back and Jinae doing a Sailor moon pose.
Kar - where'd she learn that?
In between the fifteen seconds we had for the next one, me and Jimin switched to hold her in between the both of us. Putting on a serious expression where Jinae tried her best to act elegantly

Doing the last picture together, we calmed down as we all looked at each other
Jinae - again again!
Y/N - oh- uhm-
Me and Jimin looked at each other trying to telepathically read each other's minds before she took off the tiara's off her and Jinae
Kar - how about we do one again after the rides?
Y/N - yeah, is that fine muffin?
Jinae - hmmmm okay!
The both of us sighed, taking the tiara's from the both of them and putting them back while the booth printed out the photos.
Kar - that was nice, are you ready to go on the rides Jinae?
Jinae - yeah!
In the back of my head I realised, since Jinae was still a little kid, we would only go on the softer rides which gave me some relief.
Grabbing the two sets of pictures printed out for us, handing it to Jimin where we looked at the together

The both of them giggled, but I kept focused on Jimin and me.
The wrinkles on my face, my tired eyes and rough skin compared to her almost milky smooth skin, somewhat tired eyes and perfection that was her.
I looked back at her, seeing her face. Putting on a half smile.
What was I worried about?
All that matters is that she's here with our daughter. With me.
Maybe nostalgia is nostalgia after all.
Just memories to be proud of.

Sitting down outside of Lotte World now, we just went through an entire day of riding the park's rides and doing the park's activities.
Getting a few pictures here and there, getting Jinae whatever she wanted and things like that.
And now we were seated at a restaurant, getting a few glances here and there from other patrons.
Jimin fed Jinae who wasn't eating her vegetables, clicking my tongue at her after noticing the stares at us.
Y/N - yo, don't you think there's a lot more people staring?
Kar - yeah but I don't care
Y/N - wasn't the plan was to NOT get spotted by people
Kar - if someone asks for me for an autograph or there's cameras then we'll go
Y/N - we're barely into our meal

Nodding with her, I quickly began to eat my meal while avoiding overeating so I wouldn't choke on the damn thing.
Why did I order a steak?

And in one of the nicer restaurants too, no one can goddamn respect the privacy.
After taking our sweet time to eat, we were almost finished with our meals. I spotted a camera already recording us over the shoulder of Jimin. Making me click my tongue at her again

Groaning a bit while Jinae's happily ate her food, she sat her chopsticks down. Her eyebrows frown in disgust and anger, where she sighed before calming down and softening her expression.

Y/N - way ahead of you
Calling over the waiter, my back turned to them where I put my hand up.
Waiter - yes sir?
Y/N - can we get the bill?
Waiter - sure, be a moment with you
She walked away where I turned my attention to Jinae, leaning over and wiping her face with a napkin.
Jinae - thanks papa!
Y/N - no problem muffin
Sighing, lifting up my elbow and sitting it down onto the table, letting my hands run through my hair out of frustration while we waited.
Now I don't even want to finish my steak even though it's already a quarter of it left.
After waiting for a minute or so, we got the bill as we set up to leave.
Y/N - alright let's get on our way.
Kar - yep got her.
Jinae - are we leaving already?
Y/N - yeah muffin, sorry about it.
Jinae - awww
Pouting, Jimn noticed it as she caressed her hair, kissing her on the cheek to comfort her.
Kar - it's okay sweetie, next time.
Jinae - okay......
Visibly sad, we quickly got her and left the place and got into the car.
Driving away back to the house, where she still was a little as I noticed in the rearview mirror.
Y/N - hey, do you want some dessert muffin?
Jimin had her hand on my hand again on the transmission stick, Jinae suddenly let out a small hum, contending to agree with my offer.
Jinae - okay!
Y/N - alright, we'll stop by the convenience store then
Kar - you sure?
Y/N - yeah, what's another few won to spend you know?

Kar - *sighs* I know things haven't been great between us for the longest time and not about you know, in the bedroom and stuff
Y/N - yeah?
Kar - I like being able to know the new you, the you that grew up. I just want to understand you more
Y/N - you already do, there's not much depth to me than you think.
Kar - but the both of us know there is. You're just scared of telling me
Y/N - look, with what goes on inside of there. It's just too much sometimes alright? I don't want to scare you
Kar - you're not gonna scare me Y/N. I've already seen all of you. You just have to let me in

Kar - are you sure you're not going to regret it?
Y/N - I won't, because I know that I love you. And it's awful of me to not let you in but then again, it's a struggle. It's a fight to the death every day. That's how much I can tell you.

We both turned our heads briefly to look at each other, sharing a loving look at each other before we turned back to the road.

Walking back into the apartment holding Jinae's hand, Jimin had the other. It felt a bit cold, but it was a nice cold to say the least.
My ears perked up, in the faint area of the living room. The TV was on with some conversations, catching the both of us off guard.
Y/N - is someone home?
Kar - who did you give your key to again?
Y/N - I made a lot of copies
Kar - always so careful
Y/N - I know but Haewon, uh- Seulg- Soo-Young-noona, Seung-Wan-noona- Joo-Hyun-noona- oh and Min-Jeong

Walking further into the apartment, closing the front door behind us. The lights were off but the TV illuminated pictures of Jimin, alongside baby pictures of Jinae with me in some of it.
Y/N - huh?
Like a flashbang, the lights went off. An orchestra of voices suddenly caught the three of us off-guard and shouted a bit.
"Surprise!"
The lights suddenly came on, where we were surrounded by a mixture of everyone.
Kyujin - happy birthday!
Aeri - told ya!
Joy - where did we place the beer again?
Me and Jimin quickly turned to each other in shock, but Jinae had other plans as she ran to hug the one closest to her which was Ning.
Y/N - shit even I didn't know this
Yeri - we did plan to tell you.... A day ago
Wendy - oh right, I was supposed to
Seulgi - and you wonder why he looks pale as a ghost right now
And she was right, I was pale since I initially thought someone had broken into our home.

The entire apartment is now full of lights, it was decorated evenly with custom made banners of Jinae and Jimin which I didn't even know was possible, oh wait they made one for me at my birthday and used the worst picture they could find.
Kar - we- well uhm-
Jinsol, who was beside Ning, turned around when I looked at her. Picking up something from behind her with also Soo-Young-noona doing the same as well. Unveiling two birthday cakes, where Ning picked up Jinae and brought her over to her cake.
Soo-young-noona walked over to Jimin, a big smile on her face
Joy - this cost us a whole lot

Stepping over to her side, holding up the other side of the cake from down below.

Sully - happy birthday!
Glancing at Jimin with one sparkly look in her eyes, turning my head briefly to look at Jinae who had such the biggest smile on her face.
And with a huff and a puff.
They both blew out their candles and to a birthday well spent.

Frantically zipping up my jeans as we walked out the bathroom, turning my head to Aeri who wiped her lips with her finger

The both of us stood outside the bathroom, closing the door where she pulled me in for a sloppy kiss before pulling away with a smirk on her face
Gis - how I missed this so much

Putting an arm around her shoulder, her arm around my waist as we walked back to the living room, breaking off from each other as I sat down beside Lily and Yoona

Sully - where were you?
Lily - yeah you just disappeared for like twenty minutes
Y/N - was freshening up
Lily - but you're sweating from your forehead?
Bringing my forearm and wiping my forehead, looking at it to see that there was still left over. Chuckling, I put my arm around Lily while looking at Jinae opening presents with Jimin who was taking pictures of her
Y/N - don't worry about it
Lily - oh, alright. Do you mind if I do?
Y/N - that you?
Turning to face her, unexpectedly she placed her head on my cheek, a soft look on her face
Lily - i- it's kind of we- weird
Y/N - no it's okay. This your first kiss?
Lily - not rea- really.
Y/N - if it's in front of everybody, don't worry. Treat it like you're kissing me on the cheek or hugging me when you see me
Nodding her head, she leaned in slowly before placing her lips on mine. Mmhm, it tastes fruity. I wonder what type of chapstick she uses?
After a second or so, slowly pulling away from me with a blush on her face. Seeing Yoona over her shoulder rubbing her arms together with a shy look on her face making me lean and look at her fully
Y/N - you okay?
Being put out of her thoughts, she turned her head to look at me, avoiding my eyes.
Sully - I- I wanna try too...
Y/N - sure, come here.
Waiting on her for her response, she eventually got up and sat down beside me on my left which was free.
Sitting there awkwardly, I sighed. Not wanting to pressure the girl

Sully - I- I just want to try

Eventually, she lifted her head up. Looking at me where she closed her eyes, leaning into me with puckered up lips.
Reminds me of me and Jimin's first kiss.
Giving into her, following through giving her a kiss for a few seconds before pulling away with a soft smile on her face.
Sully - t- thanks oppa.
Y/N - it's okay, you know. I thought it through.
Lifting both of my arms around the two of them, softly smiling where they looked at me
Lily - what'd you think of?
Y/N - I know I'd take both of your feelings into account and well- it doesn't hurt to try it.
Sully - so you're saying?
Y/N - let's try it. Fully this time.
The two of them immediately glew up in realization where the both of them hugged me, my hands ruffling both of their hairs
Lily - really? You mean that?
Sully - really?
Y/N - yup, I'll do my best to take care of you two alright?
Sully - alright!
Lily - thanks for accepting our feelings fully Y/N
Y/N - I like both of you girls individually. Both of you are unique and besides, I don't want to see your smiles fade away and it makes it awkward between us.
Sully - so you're just saying yes to make us happy?
Y/N - nope and technically, I do actually like you two. You're both extremely special girls to me and so are the rest of you. All of you made me a reason to continue on happily with Jinae
Lily - awwww
Sully - we're glad you're happy oppa
Y/N - with you guys around me everyday? Who wouldn't be happy

Apologising to Lily and Yoona, letting go of them as I sat up and walked over to Jimin where Haewon had a polaroid in her hand

Laughing softly, I squatted down to pick up Jinae from the ground where Jimin and I held her in between us, having Jinae in the middle.
Kar - we've come a long way since elementary
Y/N - we really have
Hae - say cheese!
"Cheese!"
Seeing the flash go off.
All I could think about was how I was surrounded by everyone right now.
How I could call them friends,
Partners,
Sometimes best friends,
Sometimes the people I would argue with,
Put my shoulder on whenever one of us felt like shit
But importantly,
They were family.
A family like no other.
