Swallowing down a piece of food, we all sat around the table with Jinae beside me on the other side of the table.
Lifting the spoon to feed her, which she nodded happily.
Jinae - it's good Soo-Young-gomo!
Joy - really? That's great to hear!
Noona laughed to herself but quickly grabbing a glance of Jimin, she immediately went back to her scowling self, still a bit tense at Jimin.
Y/N - Haewon pass me the kimchi please
She looked unaware, her mouth full.
Without a word, she passed me it where I took a glance at Jimin, quietly eating to herself.
Taking some of the kimchi before passing it back onto Haewon's side, I suddenly spoke up to ease the air.
Y/N - so what's the plan for today guys?
They all looked at me, a slight smirk on my face.
Joy - I don't know. I'm heading back to my place after this since I wanted to stop by real quick

Hae - I- uh- I gotta get back to my dorm, Jinsol said she wanted to do something with me and I got shooting for Workdol in the evening

Y/N - not really. I knew one day she'll show up but didn't know when. But given, we're at a point where we're dating now, I get you feeling weird about it.

Y/N - you earn it to be one. You remember I was adopted, to me. My mom has always been my mom, if my real one showed up out of nowhere. She's gonna have to earn it for me to see her as one.

Putting down a plate inside the sink and turning off the sink, quickly drying my hands on the kitchen towel. My body turned sideways, facing her fully. Both hands on her cheeks, caressing them with my thumb.
She looked a bit down but I understood that the weight of a thousand thoughts burdened her all of a sudden since Jimin showed up.
Y/N - you've earned every right of it. You're done nothing more than be the best you ever have been for me, for Jinae, for all of us. You bear enough on yourself that the last thing I want is you to be stressed and pulling out your hair.
Her hand gripped my forearm, softly.
Y/N - we'll work this out, I promise. If anything, cross my heart. You'll always be her mother just as Jimin is. And I'll love you the same since the moment you entered my heart.
Leaning in, giving her a tender kiss. Feeling her other hand grip my sweater, pulling me in closer to seal it in more.
Holding her closer to me, if one thing I've accepted. It was that I felt something for this girl.

The both of us let go, feeling embarrassed from being caught. Our eyes averting away from each other like school children having done something bad, my hands quickly turning on the tap and washing the plate I had left
Joy - you two are like kids I swear.
Turning my head to face the two, clearing my throat.

Crossing her arms with Jimin, quietly observing me. She softly laughed to herself

A little nervous feeling struck me, the both of us walking together with some silence in the air.
Going inside of oppa's room where we made eye contact with each other.

She sat down on his bed, leaving me to stand as she sighed.
Karina - I wasn't around at all. And as I said. I regret that a lot. To my core. The only thing I can do is to build a relationship with her without knowing that I'm her biological mother. I don't know when it's right to tell her when. On her first day of middle school? High school? Hell, even before college? But. let me ask you then.

Holding my position, my heart never lied to me. When there were times where I had to decide the hardest of things for myself or anyone else.
I trusted my heart.
And I went with it.
It tells me one thing, the one thing since I saw him for the first time that day.
That he was different, that I knew that he wasn't like anyone else. The way he carried himself, despite his dead eyes of tiredness. He was good underneath, trying to live a life of his own.
When I found out he had a daughter, it still didn't stop me from feeling the way I wanted to feel towards him.
A loud, euphoric feeling in my bloodstream that I wish I would ask for more but I've already had enough. Too much would just kill me.

I knew it for the longest time but I wanted to deny it sometimes.
That I wanted to be with him, every step of the way. He was someone worth risking my career for and I never understood why until that night.
