Chapter 447 The Wall Climber Melanie watched as Elder Gibsonâs car slowly disappeared into the horizon. She had just turned around when her mobile started to vibrate.
âYelenaâs identity is confirmed?â Jeffrey asked immediately.
âYouâre quite up to date,â she said as she walked.
The voice from the other end hurriedly said, âDonât leave. Turn around and look.â
Melanie paused and turned around. She saw Jeffreyâs car driving from afar before slowing down and stopping next to her.
âItâs getting late. What are you doing here at the Yorksâ?â
âI canât control the planeâs landing time. I know that itâs not quite right for me to come to the Yorks âat such a time, so I can only see you a little outside the gate.â Jeffrey held her arm gently and asked her to join him at the back seat. He couldnât help but get closer to her.
Melanie raised her arm to maintain some distance. âIâm tired. I want to go back early and rest.â
She really was getting tired.
She was also in no mood to tell Jeffrey that she had met Judas after she had just gone through an emotional rollercoaster.
âI bought an apartment nearby. If you want to see me, I can come see you at any time.â
Jeffrey still held her in his arms and patted her back with his hand. âYouâre going to stay with the Yorks for quite some time now.
Wonât you miss me?â
Melanie could feel that he was controlling his emotions that were on the brink of collapse, but she still pushed him away. âIâm really tired today, and my stomach isnât feeling well.â
âDoes it hurt?â
Jeffrey was shocked and he quickly let go of her, looking at her stomach carefully.
âIâm fine. Maybe Iâm getting tired. I should be better if I rest earlier this evening.â
She placed her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes, letting him hold and rub her hands, feeling somewhat sad.
âAlright, you take it slow when you go back.â
+15 BONOS Jeffreyâs eyes locked on to her tightly. Even if he didnât want to, he had to let her go. He looked at her fragile figure walking through the Yorksâ gate. The servants followed her and led her further away.
Jeffrey pursed his lips before ordering William, âCheck who she met today.â
âUnderstood!â
William, who was sitting in front, acknowledged the order.
The doctor had prescribed medicine for Yelena and performed hypnotism as a treatment for her.
In the middle of the night, Shane and Pam both went back to their rooms to rest. Melanie also returned to the guest room that the Yorks had arranged for her.
After showering and drying her hair, she lied in bed. Despite yawning continuously, her mind was clear although she closed her eyes. She couldnât sleep.
Judas had mentioned Morgan Group so naturally... So natural that even she was getting suspicious of Morgan Group. Did they have anything to do with how her dad died all those years ago?
She wanted to ask Jeffrey about it, but she felt tired.
At this time, a strange noise came from the direction of the bathroom.
She suddenly opened her eyes, and a man hurriedly walked toward her!
If it wasnât because of the moonlight clearly illuminating his face, she would have cried out for help!
âMr. Morgan, this is the Yorksâ!â She felt somewhat helpless.
âThatâs how amazing I am.â Jeffrey let out a smirk before walking over, pulling the blanket, and lying down by her side.
Melanie sighed helplessly but was still nonetheless pleasantly surprised.
There were so many rooms in the Yorksâ and the number of guest rooms was almost limitless. How could he have known which room she was in while avoiding all the bodyguards and servants and climbing in from her bathroom?!
âWe just met. What are you doing here?â She intentionally moved to her side.
He immediately got up and held her in his arms. âI was worried that you couldnât sleep so Iâm âHm?â
+15 BONOS âWe can use the shortest time to finish everything you wanted to ask or say, so that we can go to bed, okay?â
She was close to his warm chest as the feeling of safety soothed the anxiety inside of her. Looked like he knew everything.
Melanie then started with how she met Judas today.
But before she could ask anything, Jeffrey said, âJudas is setting up a smokescreen. The one that taught him to say that must be the real culprit that employed him to commit the murder. Iâm already investigating this.â
âOkay.â
Melanie nodded.
âCan we go to bed now?â He patted her soft hair and asked.
Melanie stuck close in his arms. And soon, she naturally felt sleepy.
She slept well through the entire night.
She didnât know when daylight came. The servants outside the door woke her up by knocking on the door.
âMiss Melanie? Are you awake?â
âWeâre here to deliver you some breakfast.â
Melanie immediately opened her eyes.
If the Yorks discovered that Jeffrey was in her bed, she would be in trouble!
