The door opened and there stood none other than---
Umm I don't actually know. But he's actually the guy with silvery white hair with light blue streaks and icy blue eyes. Also the rude arrogant guy who bumped into me and didn't even say sorry. I frowned at the memory.
"Shawn! You're late!" Bryson said. 'Shawn' didn't say anything and just came and stood beside Drew.
"Bryson is right Shawn. You're late. But we can look past it for now. Will you please introduce yourself to the girls?" Mrs. Withersfield said.
He grunted but did as told. "Shawn Fraser. 19 years. Ice element and the Air element. Don't get close to me." He said rudely. So he had the Air element as well?
"We're not even interested in getting close to you." I murmured but they all heard it.
"And who are you?" He asked.
"If you had bothered on coming a bit earlier you would know." I said. He glared at me. His stare was so cold that it made a shiver run down my spine.
"Melanie, Lorraine and Alex please introduce yourselves again." Mrs. Withersfield said.
"Alexia Horton. I'm 20 years old and I have the Earth element and the power of invisibility." Alex said.
"Lorraine Caister! You can call me Lori! I have the Water element and Telekinesis. I'm 19 years old." Lori went next.
"Melanie Grace. 17 years old. Fire element and Air element." I said reluctantly.
"So you have 2 elements too?" He asked.
"What did I just say then?" I asked sarcastically.
"If I were you I would keep that mouth shut." He said.
"If I were you I would learn all my manners again." I retorted.
He glared at me. "Wow! Mel I didn't know you were that feisty! You're perfect for Shawn." Bry said.
This time we both glared at him.
"Shut up." We said together. We looked at each other and glared strongly at each other.
"Don't copy me." We said together again.
"I said don't copy me!"
"Stop it!"
We yelled at each other at the same time.
"Melanie, Shawn both of you'll calm down." Mrs. Withersfield said. I looked away from him and faced her.
"So I think you'll should begin your lessons." She said. We all nodded.
"Melanie, Shawn you'll will train together since you'll both have the Air element." She said.
"What?! No! I don't want to train with this jerk!" I said.
"Melanie, language. And I haven't given you any choice. So please cooperate with each other." She said. I sighed but nodded nonetheless.
"Alex and Lorraine, I want you'll to go to your respective professors whereas Bryson and Drew, you'll can either go back or you'll can stay here and train by yourselves. Melanie and Shawn I want you'll with Mrs. Krystal over there. Begin your training now! I'll be seeing how good you'll are at learning." Mrs. Withersfield said and Shawn and I headed to Mrs. Krystal Esparza.
I smiled at her and she returned it.
"Melanie, I'll be concentrating more on you since Shawn has already mastered his second element. He can help you too if you want." She said.
"I'm not gonna waste my time on idiots like her. She wouldn't understand anything even if I taught her." Shawn said. I glared at him.
"Of course I wouldn't understand anything. You don't know how to teach after all. And I wouldn't waste my time with you either cause I won't be able to learn anything from you." I said and smirked. He glared at me.
"Calm down both of you. Like the headmaster said you'll need to cooperate with each other. Or else we won't get anywhere." Mrs. Esparza said.
"Tell him that first, Mrs. Esparza." I said.
"Call me Krystal, Melanie. And don't worry he won't interfere when I'm teaching you. Look." She said and pointed at Shawn who was now leaning against the wall while sitting down and was on his phone. That's good.
"Now let's start. You ready?" She asked. I nodded.
"First of all, close your eyes and feel the air around you." I did as she said.
I could feel a slight breeze around me.
"Now bring your hand forward and concentrate on the air around. Create a small tornado on your hand."
It was a but difficult at first but then I slowly felt the still air move around me and I started feeling a pressure on my outstretched hand.
"Now open your eyes Melanie." She said and I slowly opened my eyes.
I saw a small tornado on my hand. It wasn't extremely small but it was of an ideal size. I looked up at Krystal with a huge smile.
"Not bad for your first time Melanie. Usually people take a while till they learn how to even control the air around them. Creating even a small tornado is far off for them. You're a quick learner aren't you?" Krystal said smiling at me.
"Yup! So are we learning anything more?" I asked, excited.
"Well for now, just try expanding the tornado more and more. But be careful. It should not go out of control." She said.
"I'll be back in a few minutes. Keep training." She said and walked away. The other professors and Mrs. Withersfield too left the room with her. So it was just the six of us now.
I approached the girls. Lori sweating a bit.
"So how did you'll do?" I asked.
"Not bad. I could turn only half of my body invisible though." Alex said.
I turned to Lori. She was taking deep breaths.
"Don't ask. I'm so tired! I could just lift one box a few feet above the ground!" She said.
"Here." Drew came and handed her a towel and a water bottle. Her already flushed cheeks became even more red.
"Thanks." She said taking it from his hands. He smiled at her charmingly.
Alex and I gave a sly smiles from behind him. We quickly smiled sweetly when he turned around.
After a few minutes we went back to training.
I made the tornado move with my finger. This was my third time making a tornado after Krystal left. And was 4 times bigger than my first one. I was bored out of my wits now.
I looked over to Alex and Lori and saw that Lori was able to lift three medium sized boxes at the same time. Alex was able to completely disappear for 40 seconds max.
The guys on the other hand were just sitting there watching us. Well Drew was watching only Lori. And I think Bryson was staring at Alex with a smirk.
I think he's using his X - ray vision on her. And he's smirking. That means he's doing something perverted!
I narrowed my eyes at him. I'll do something about it later. And I'm sure Alex must've ready noticed him. She's smart so...
Shawn had not moved an inch from when I started. He had his eyes closed. I think he was sleeping. I got an idea!
I smiled evilly. I just hope this works though.
I still had my tornado in hand. I threw it towards him. It slowly went to him. But when it was like a few centimetres away from his face it just disappeared. What the-?
He opened his eyes and smirked at me.
"You're a hundred years too early for trying to attack me. Even when I'm sleeping." He said. I huffed. Damn it. And I was so close.
The doors opened and in came Mrs. Withersfield and the rest of the professors.
"Good job Alex! You're able disappear completely for a minute now." Mr. Stephenson said. Alex smiled.
"You too Lori! You can levitate 5 things at a time now!" Mrs. Saunders said.
"Thanks Madelyn!" Lori said smiling wide.
"Melanie, how big is your tornado now?" Krystal asked.
I made one in just a few seconds. I looked up to see all of them looking up at me in surprise. I raised an eyebrow.
"What?" I asked.
"How are you able to make it so fast?" Krystal asked me with wide eyes.
"Umm...isn't that how everybody does?" I asked.
"No. Nobody learns how to make such a big tornado so early. Except Shawn. He learnt it on his first class too." She said.
"Well I'm a fast learner I guess." I said confused myself.
She sighed. "Ya. I think so too. We should wind up for now." She said and smiled at me.
Good job, Melanie.
I looked over at Mrs. Withersfield and saw her smiling. I smiled back.
"Everybody, you'll can head back now. Have your dinner and sleep early. You'll must be tired." She said. We nodded.
"Bye Krystal." I said. She waved back with a smile. Alex, Lori and I left the room, the guys following us.
On our way back Lori and Drew were talking to each other a lot. And I mean it. A LOT.
Behind them, Bryson and Alex were arguing over something. I think Bryson had teased her and she's now shouting at him. Something like that.
And me and Shawn were at the last, behind Alex and Bryson and it was really quiet between us and I was feeling a bit awkward.
Suddenly a breeze blew and the hood of my hoodie came off, revealing my weird hair. I felt eyes on me and turned to find Shawn staring at me. I blushed a bit feeling awkward that I was being stared at. I looked down, my hair hiding my face.
After my blush slightly subsided I grabbed my hood to cover my hair again but Shawn caught my wrist. I looked at him in confusion.
"Don't cover your head. Why are you trying to hide such beautiful hair? Don't think about what others would think about your hair." He said before he along with the other guys left to the boys dormitory. We girls walked to our room.
I bet I was blushing the entire way. Alex and Lori were talking to each other while I remained quiet the entire time.
Once inside the room, I quickly went to my bedroom and laid down on the bed. I put a hand on my heart and could still feel it beating hard.
What is he thinking? Why did he just suddenly say something like that?
I think I'll never know. Sigh.
