Luca
When walking back to his chambers he tried very hard not to have a mental breakdown. He just kissed the man of his dreams. The one who had his heart. The man he wanted to marry if his little sister didn't steal him away.
He just kissed him. He just kissed him. He just...
'Well don't you look just a little to happy.' Aspen was in from of his chambers with his arms crossed and a scowl set on his face.
"Me. Happy. I am just... I'm ... very... yes happy. It's a nice evening. Ah I feel very tired. I will go and sleep now." He tried to pass the guard but he stopped him.
"No! Not so fast little prince boy. Now that your courting my brother we are gonna have some rules." How the heck did he know that?!
"I think your brother is very capable of telling me wat he wants."
"That's not what I am worried about. I am worried about your ass trying to tie him down before he is ready, you are not allowed to ask his hand in marriage without my permission and not before you have at least courted him a year."
"A year!"
"Fine half a year. But that's it. And if you break his heart I will break your face. Good night." Aspen stomped away.
Luca touched his face.
The next morning he went to cihans room to wake him up with and be the first person he would see in the morning.
He wasn't there.
In the end it should not have been so hard to find him.
He was in the kitchens.
He was sitting on a chair next to one of the cooks begging him to let him help. Luca leaned against the doorway and looked at his love.
"But sir. I am already here! I can just wash up after you and watch!"
"Your ribs are broken."
"Tamar told you?"
"Yes boy. Tamar told me. You are not touching anything in here untill they are healed. Then you may come back and teach me how to make those delicious vegetables buns Elliot let me taste." Cihan blushed.
.He gave you one?.
The cook, Charles worked in the castle for years. He was a kind man with a ever kinder smile. He ruffled cihans hair.
"Can I just look then please." The cook rolled his eyes.
"No you can not. You must entertain our prince." Cihan turned around following the cooks look and Luca almost fell on the ground.
He grinned at him and Luca tried not to blush. But to see by the smirks the kitchen staff were showing he was faling miserabel.'
When they walked out of the kitchen Cihan didn't waist any time to grab his hand.
"Uh, we can do this now right? Now we are courting?" He asked with a little blush. Luca didn't quit remember how to form words so he nodded and intertwined their fingers.
"How do You think everybody knows? I mean I didn't tell anybody and I hardly doubt you told the whole castle before going to sleep..." Cihan stopped and frowned. Looking up to him. His head a little to the side and with his eyes only focused on him.
"Did You?"
Luca smiled leaned forward and kissed him.
"No I did not. But your brother knew the moment I left your room. So maybe we are just to easy to read..."
Cihan grinned and with a little blush pressed himself to his prince.
Luca waisted no time with wrapping his arms around him.
To hug him properly.
"How are your injuries?"
"They hurt. But Tamar gave me more medicine. And your here now... so."
Luca felt like floating. He kissed the top op his lovers hair.
"What would you like to do today?"
Cihan grinned.
"Arent you suppose to be doing like prince things?"
"I am taking the day of." He said not wanting to ever let him go.
He stil could hardly believe that he was now courting Cihan. That Cihan accepted him being a prince. And they had kissed!
Cihan smiled.
"I think your father might disagree. But don't worry. I already have plans."
Luca turned his head to see his father smirking at them and Cihan released him.
Jumped on his tiptoes to kiss his cheek without any shame and Then said bye to him and his father.
Wait? Plans?
"What kind of plans?" He called after him.
Cihan just grinned and walked around the corner. He wasn't gonna tell him..
Luca rolled his eyes at his fathers look.
"So when is the wedding?" He asked.
Luca huffed.
"Caspen ordered me to at least court him half a year before even thinking about it. And I think that was going easy on us."
His father grinned and patted his back.
"Half a year isn't that long. And you shouldn't rush in to things. Get to know each other, fall in love, take your time."
Luca nodded. He was probably right. But half a year sure sounded long when you wanted nothing more that to be together with someone for the rest of your life.
"Now let's go young man we have much to do and little time."
Cihan
Finding Ezera wasnt as hard as he thought it would be.
One of the guards pointed him in the right direction. It was remarkable how nice people where here. But of course there could only be so many.
"He isn't even that handsome." He heard someone sneer when he came to a corner. It wasn't the things they said but the way they talked that made him stop.
"Probably just rolled over and gave it to him. He'll get bored of the boy eventually." The other person said. Someone snorted.
Cihan felt himself freeze and pressed himself against the wall. People where people. Not everyone was nice. He was used to not nice. He was used to being hated. He shouldn't be used to this. But it felt harder this time. Maybe because he so desperately wanted this place to feel safe.
"Besides he is a commoner. And they say he was a slave from Duran." The last part was loudly whispered. Maybe someone overheard Caspen. Caspen didn't tell everybody but he would tell his friends. The people he trusted.
They wouldn't tell but other could overhear.
Cihan wished Caspen would just keep it to himself.
"Sexslave probably." They laughed and Cihan turned the corner.
Everywhere in the castle were small little corners with a chair or a bench. They were for the people that stayed in the castle. Or decoration. Cihan didn't care about it.
It were two lady's with fancy dresses. They Didn't look up when he turned but they shut up the moment they noticed him. Outright staring at him while past them. He nodded but made no bow or anything he would do for anyone else.
They were right though. He was a commoner. And he was a slave. They weren't.
He wasn't fit to be with a king.
He knew that.
But it wouldn't stop him.
He loved Luca.
And Luca loved him. And as long as he would have him. He would take him.
And if they thought some mean words would stop him than they didn't have a clue who he was!
He found his friend and filled her in on the events that took place last night.
She squealed so loud when he told her Luca asked to court him all the older servants gave them funny looks. But Cihan knew he liked being here.
Non of the guards, nor servants seemed to think any less of him.
Some ignored him, but they didn't know each other and it didn't matter. But most seemed to like him.
He spent some time with them and then took some rest in his room. His ribs still hurt. He also went to see Tamar to check up on his stitches.
He was lucky he didn't get an infection on his stab wound and he knew it. He really should have gone to the castle sooner. Worrying his brother and Luca like that was never his intention.
After his visit at Tamar he went in search of the library.
Elliot told him there was one in the castle and that he was free to use it as he pleased. And he pleased that very much.
He spent most of his day roaming the many bookcases in the library. He even spoke to the librarian. A nice older gentleman who told him he used to be the prince's scholar. He was working with a younger boy. He wore big round glasses on his nose and had a huge mop of brown curls.
His name was Raven. He was going to be the next librarian and in time take over the teachings for little princess Eli.
Raven was really nice and Cihan felt like he just made an other friend.
He helped Raven with some of his tasks. He couldn't lift anything but he helped him cleaning some of the supplies and check all the inkt bottles to see if the caps where on them. After that the older gentleman who said to just call him Daniel, let Raven off early.
Raven was glad to show Cihan some of his favorite places in the castle. Including his room. Which had a whole lot of books in them. Almost as much as the library.
When they where wandering around outside near the trainings field Luca found them.
Raven bowed deeply but Cihan didn't because his chest hurt a lot more today and it felt weird to bow to someone he just wanted to kiss.
He grabbed Luca's hand and introduced him to Raven.
Isaac who was with him had a teasing smirk on his lips the moment he noticed the little scholar. He sure hoped Isaac would leave him alone.
"I was exactly coming to find you for dinner? And I have heard you haven't eaten lunch today, in case you though you could get away with it." Luca's voice sounded stern and Cihan blushed a little.
Cihan blinked and looked up at the sky.
"Dinner? I didn't know it was that late already! I must have forgotten. I'm sorry Luca, but don't worry. I wasn't hungry." He leaned in to his side making Luca flush a little.
"You need to take better care of yourself, my love." Luca said softly.
He nodded but made no promises.
Raven blushed seeing them be so close and excused himself.
Isaacs eyes followed his little form all the way back to the castle.
