Chapter 47: Staying

FIGHT OF LOVE AND HATEWords: 8287

Entering the station, I saw Jerry standing beside Noah, her 3-month pregnant tummy protruding gently, Olive sitting in a chair, rubbing her 5-month belly, while Jack handed her a glass of water. Jacob had his arms around Steve's waist, watching as Steve played with their 4-year-old son. Sarah stood beside Diana, with Diana embracing her and holding Rose on the other side. Lila sat on a chair beside Sarah, chatting away, while Aiden showered kisses on his daughter Claire's face. All of them were there, so I moved my eyes to find my family, who held my heart: my kids playing with their mother, my WIFE. Of course, they missed her a lot.

I looked everywhere to see Andrea, Chloe, and Ava looking at them with smiles on their faces. I should be happy too, but given the circumstances, it's not safe for them to be here. My heart ached, my chest filling up with an unknown emotion as I looked at them, scared. I was scared for them to be here. After knowing what is happening, I cannot afford to lose anyone. My whole family was here, and their lives might be in danger.

I was snapped out of my trance when my kids called me. "Mommy!" both of them screamed and ran towards me. I knelt down without wasting any time and hugged them tightly. Even though it was just for 4 days away, I still missed them. They are my babies.

"Finally, you have arrived! Where were you when your wife IS here?" Lila teased.

"I was out with Olivia," I said, pointing towards her, "She is, what you say, the detective or the Captain of the station."

"Hi," Olivia introduced herself to everyone. "You guys are one big family. I wish I could say I heard many nice things about you, but I didn't. Although, let me introduce you all to Andrea, she is my best friend and my station partner. That is Ava, my girlfriend, and she is Chloe," she said, introducing everyone.

"Chloe is our friend," Ava said, smiling and sending a glare towards Olivia for not introducing her properly.

"When are all of you leaving?" I asked, still holding my kids' hands tightly.

"What? We just got here," said Lila, glancing at me and then at Aiden.

"All of us were free, and the kids and us were missing you, so we came here for 3 days," Lila said.

I groaned. "Yes, Lydia, we followed in your footsteps and came here, we missed you too" said Sarah with a smirk.

"Guys, I don't think it's a great idea for all of you to stay here," I said.

"Why?" Olive said, getting up from her chair. "Babe, you should sit down; your legs are sore," Jack said.

"No, Jack, we are sensing something is wrong," Olive added.

"What happened?" Jerry asks.

"I think we should leave and take the kids while you explain to them too, don't you think, Ava?" Olivia asked. Ava nodded in agreement.

"Yes, I mean, I hope this is your full family, so after them, this should stop. The fewer people know, the better," I said.

"No wait, Aaron and Tanya are in New Zealand. Do we tell them or not? They are part of the Family too," Sira said.

"Phew, that is some big family right there," I heard Chloe say, but I didn't say anything. I just glared at her. I don't like her now.

"We will tell them when the time is right, but I promise you, Ava and Olivia, after them, no one will know from us," I said.

"I don't understand what all of you are saying," Jerry asked.

"I think it's better if they explain it to you. I trust them not to tell anyone, so I trust you all too," said Ava.

"I think we should take the kids out too," said Andrea.

I knelt down to face my kids. "Be good to Aunty Olivia and Ava, and look out for your brother and sister. Don't get in trouble; this is for you, Rach. You guys are adults. Understood?"

"Yes, mommy," they nodded their heads and ran out with them.

"Okay, now all of you better start speaking up." Said Sarah looking at everyone.

OLIVIA POV

Me and Andrea stood, watching Ava play with the kids. "That inside was too much," I remarked.

"Tell me about it. I didn't even think this morning that my day would go this way. In under 2 hours, everything happened that I thought would happen. And I still didn't get my food to fill my tummy," I said, exasperated.

"Besides that, they have such a big, lovely family. Touch wood for that," Andrea said, touching her forehead because she couldn't find any wood nearby.

"They do. They would die for each other. God bless them all," I replied, and we both went silent, looking ahead at the kids running behind Ava. I turned my head to see Chloe just sitting and looking at them. A sense of jealousy took over my body, but I tried calming myself down. Even if Chloe likes Ava, Ava thinks of her as her sister. She loves me. I introduced her as my girlfriend. Lost in thought, I didn't feel the kids running towards me and crashing into my legs. I laughed, kneeling down to face them. "And what is your name, pretty girl?" I asked, but before she could reply, a black-haired boy walked beside Ava with a blonde-headed boy, whom I guessed was Steve's son.

"Rachel, stop with your running. You will hurt someone, or you will get hurt," the boy cautioned. Rachel rolled her eyes. "I didn't get hurt, Charles."

"But Rose and Claire are running behind you too. I don't even know why they love you so much," Charles remarked.

"Because I am the cooler and fun sister, right Rose and Claire?" she asked sweetly, with a smile that anyone would say yes to. They were definitely Sira's and Lydia's kids. Rachel was a replica of Sira, while Charles was a replica of Lydia. Andrea was laughing at their conversations.

"But Mom said to look out for them and not get in trouble."

"I am not in trouble," Rachel said, looking at me. "Am I in trouble, Aunty Olivia?" I laughed and shook my head. "No, not at all."

"Look, Charles, a dog!" Steven's son exclaimed, running towards it.

"Wait, Ben, don't run," Charles said, chasing after him, with Ava smiling and running behind both of them.

"So tell me, Rachel, how old are you?" Andrea questioned.

"I am 7 years old. This is Rose, Aunt Sarah and Diana's daughter and my sister. She is going to be 6 in Jan, and this is Claire Uncle Aiden and Aunty Lila daughter. She is 4 years old," she said, bringing both of her sisters forward.

"Say hi to them," she whispered to both of them. Me and Andrea chuckled.

"Aren't you all such cuties?" Andrea said, pinching their cheeks softly.

"We are back," said Ava with the boys.

"We are back too!" Sarah exclaimed loudly, technically screaming.

"Mommy, why does Aunty Sarah always shout?" Rachel asked, covering her ears, making everyone laugh.

"That you should ask, Aunty Diana, munchkin," said Sira.

"Shut up, Sira." Diana said.

"What is the final decision, leaving or staying?" I asked them.

"We all are staying," said Jerry, who then smiled at her family. I smiled and nodded my head.

"Well, I feel that it would be safer for all of you to stay at my house."

"How big is your house?" Andrea questioned. Ava smiled.

"You haven't even seen the whole house, Andrea. The other side of the house has three more free rooms. Probably some can share a room with you and Liv too, if you all don't mind."

"Oh, we don't want to impose and cause you all trouble," said Lila. I shook my head, agreeing with Ava.

"Nonsense. It's safe for all of you to stay there, for all your safety."

"I agree too. We don't know, there would still be some possibility that vampires are out hunting. We need you to be safe." said Noah

"Okay, then it's decided. We are staying at your place, and lastly, we have to make sure that we don't get killed and come back home," said Sira, making everyone groan in anger.

"Sira, you better keep your mouth shut and start using your mind before uttering things. God, Sira," Lydia said, smacking the back of her head.

"You're not going to say anything to your sister," she said, looking at Aiden. He shrugged his shoulders, kissing Lydia's head. "She's right."

AHH so Lydia and Aiden are brother and sister.

"Fucking hell," Sira exclaimed. Rachel, who heard everything, repeated her mom's word.

"What is 'fuck'?" Lydia groaned again. "Sira, I am going to kill you."

Sira ran towards her daughter and picked her up, using her as a shield from Lydia. "What am I going to do with you?" Lydia asked shaking her head.

"Simple, just keep loving me," she said, making everyone smile.

Sira Grey Greenaway is something else.
