Chapter 6: Say Something

FIGHT OF LOVE AND HATEWords: 6975

Olivia POV

"Bye, bud; I promise to see you next Sunday." Ava said, to which he nodded and turned to face me. "Would, you come too?" the blonde child said, staring at me with his gorgeous blue eyes, holding an answer that I should say yes or he will become sad.

I knelt down in front of him and extended my pinky finger. "I promise I'll come." He smiled toothily and hooked his finger to mine. I returned the smile and stood up. "Byee," he muttered as he stood by Emma, waving his hand. "

Goodbye, Emma; see you next Sunday." Ava said.

"Goodbye, Ma'am." I told her. "Oh, please keep the formalities to a minimum; please call me Emma, and you are welcome to visit at any time."

I nodded and looked at Ava, who was staring at me, but she saw and immediately moved her attention to Emma, who was already grinning. "Byee, be careful." She stated this as we walked out of the orphanage.

"Did you bring your car?" Ava inquired. I shook my head . "I took a cab, not my car." "Okay, OK. Are you free right now? If so, I'd want to take you someplace."

"I am now free." I answered. "Awesome, let's go." I followed her everywhere she was going. It was difficult to believe Ava was a vampire after seeing how she treated Emma and Ben. As if she was a human and truly cared for them, but then I am sure that 100 she is a vampire.

She may have a motive for it, or Emma could be a vampire, but she wasn't; she was a human. I had discussed with my parents how to kill Ava. Not going to lie, admitting we were preparing to kill Ava pained me and tortured my heart, but maybe it was because of how she treated me.

Funny, anxious, caring, and compassionate.  Is The Ava she has showed.

Vampires, on the other hand, are not caring. Which she is a Vampire.

"I can feel you thinking hard, your mind just blow up at any second." I heard her say.  "What?" "I can see you're thinking hard."

"Oh, there's nothing. I was only considering a case."I replied glancing at her for a second. "Is this the case where the man's body was discovered in the alley?" "How did you manage-""That was the first time we met," she added, side-glancing me and tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "So, how old is he?" she paused, perhaps wondering who I was thinking about, but then she remembered.

"Oh, he's four. Someone left him on the orphanage's gate." " Poor guy. But how did you come to know him?" I questioned.

"I was adopted by the Lopez family, before I used to stay here in orphanage with Emma. I was placed in it when I was 12 years old. Emma treated me as though I were her daughter. She is a mother figure to me, but the Lopez family, which includes my present and wonderful parents, adopted me "She stated this while flashing a real and, dare I say, adorable grin and displaying her dimples. I returned her grin with sincerity. So she was adopted; does this imply that her adopted family is vampires, or that her biological family is and the Lopez's don't know?

"So the location I'm going to take you to is in the woods. And I want you to close your eyes and trust me." Trust her. I'm at a loss for words, trusting a Vampire and venturing into the woods. She could end up killing me.

"I swear I will not do anything strange; all you have to do is hold my hand and trust me—and I am trusting you with not opening your eyes. That's a good bargain." She said as if it really was a good bargain.

But I had no option, so I agreed, and she smiled again, making me reconsider my conclusion about her being a vampire. "Awesome, here you go, my lady," she remarked as she extended her hand. I took her hand in mine. I can feel the sparks going through my arm again, exactly like the last time. I looked up at her and saw her reaction; I knew she felt it too.

"Let's go," I replied quietly, closing my eyes, and she guided me wherever she wanted me to go. "Ava, I swear to God, if I die, my parents will come for you." She laughed heartily, which made my stomach tingle. She is a vampire, so stop feeling this. "Olivia, believe me, murdering you is the last thing on my mind, but I won't."  Yea right.

"How long?" I asked getting tired of walking. "Just a few steps more." I walked down, clutching her hand tightly, afraid I'd injure myself. "Are you afraid you'll injure yourself?" "Why" I questioned her curious how did she know. "The way, you are holding my hand tightly seems like, but just two steps and here we are." She pulled her hand out.

"You can now open your eyes, Olivia." Slowly opening my eyes, I took in my surroundings; it must have rained here since I could smell moist mud. Does it make sense that I have never inhaled this sort of air in my entire life, because I haven't? It felt new. I felt refreshed and at ease. There was a waterfall and a pond, and you could clearly see the fish in there because the water was so clear. The sound of the waterfalls was slow and steady, like peaceful music.

"So, How do you like it?" Ava inquired, uncomfortably. I grinned as I gazed at her."Beautiful" One word to describe the beauty of the inner forest. " Come let's sit here" she said walking near the small pond where a blanket was already there.

Smirking, I approached her. "Seems like you were sure to bring me here," I commented, glancing at the blanket. "Oh, I mean, I was hoping you'd say yes, but I keep the blanket here. I prefer to believe that no one knows about this spot except for me, and now you do as well. When I need some peace and quiet, I come here and listen to the nature." She sat down and patted the blanket to make room for me.

We had been sitting in peace for the last ten minutes, not wanting to disturb the soothing sound of the waterfalls, but I did. "Tell me something," I say. "What should I tell you?" she replied looking at me. "Anything you wish." She took a moment to pause before saying up.

"Please don't panic, I want to be honest with you. I don't want you to be scared of me." I nodded as I turned to look her in the eyes. Is she going to tell me she's a vampire? She took a long breath and exhaled before turning to face me.

"Olivia, that night I met you, I was looking for some peace and quiet. But then, as I was walking, I noticed a crowd of people around police cars. Curiosity got the best of me, and I walked there, discovering a body, but that wasn't the point. The point is, I felt something when I bumped into you. I felt something. Something, I don't know what but I did. Like I felt a spark the moment you touched me to stop from falling. My emotions took over my head that night, and I couldn't stop thinking about you. It was my emotions, not my head, that drove me to follow you for three days. What I'm trying to express is" she exhaled deeply and closed her eyes.

"I like you," I knew she liked me, but what surprised me was what I did after hearing her say that. I pulled her face towards me and smacked my lips on her. I kissed her on the lips.

Ava Lopez was kissed by me. I had kissed a vampire. Who I intend to murder with my family.
