It's been almost a year after Wang Qing found out about him being descendant of a dragon king.If he was to tell anyone about it,he sure enough that he will be laughed at and no one will ever believe it.Moreover,the fact that he is also married to a male immortal make it sound so ridiculous.Then there are still things like ancestors and descendants and immortals turned humans.There are just too many things that Wang Qing can't talk about,not because he wants to keep secret but he knows people can never digest that sort of information.
His husband,Dayu on the other hand has been taking things differently.He has no problem in telling people around him about those supernatural fantasy things.He tells stories about immortals and dragons on daily basis and people just love it.Well- That's because he is surrounded by those immortals who turned humans.
After the incident a year ago,it seems like former immortals nearby seek for shelter at the orphanage owned by Irene.That's because not all were born into families,some were abandoned and forced to survive on their own.The increasing numbers resulting in renovating the place,as in making it bigger.Irene quit her previous work at the museum and pour all her effort in managing the orphanage. For the past couple of months,Dayu had been working on the building's interior and provide comfort alongside Irene and her descendant.
"Are you not coming home tonight?"
"Yes,it seems like i need to speed up things here.We are expecting more to come next month"
"You been working really hard lately.Is everyone alright there?Have you been eating properly?"
"Everyone is fine,thanks to our master dragon.En,i had my meal earlier.What about you?I..feel bad for not able to spend more time with you.Especially these past few days.Are you done packing all your things?"
"I had mine too.There's only few more documents need to be settle and i am done.Don't worry about that,i understand that you have your duty over there,protecting your descendants.I plan to visit them soon,would that be alright?"
"That's a relief to know.Oh,really?Of course it is alright.I am sure they would be delighted to know that,they probably missed you..Ah,i need to go now.Irene needs help with the children."
"Sure,go ahead"
"Wang Qing...."
"Hmmm?"
"I missed you"
"I missed you too,see you soon"
Wang Qing hung up the call.That's how they have been communicating for the past few days.They both are occupied with their duties. Only phone calls and texts accompanying them into their lonely nights.
Wang Qing leans on his back,with both hands are placed at the back of his head. Looking at boxes on his table,mixed emotions suddenly builds up. Tomorrow he will be moving to his new work place.A new foreign station,new co-workers and new environment.
Last month he received a promotion in rank,as a recognition for his excellent performance over the year in solving crime cases.In the letter it was stated that he must report duty to a new station within a month.Wang Qing of course was happy upon receiving the letter but that also mean he has to move into a new city,closer to his new workplace.
"What's on your mind buddy?"
A light tap landed on his shoulder.As Wang Qing turns around,Chengyu is seen standing behind me wearing a silly smile on his face.
"Why are you here?Aren't you on duty?" asks Wang Qing.His eyes are following Chengyu movement as he takes a sit on empty chair next to him.
"You are losing your sense of time.I finished my duty half an hour ago.It's almost 6 now" replied Chengyu,taking a glimpse at those boxes on Wang Qing's table.
"Ahhhh" Wang Qing glances over that the wall clock across his desk.He rubs his forehead,sliding his hand over his hair toward his neck. Chengyu briefly shakes his head.
"Is your fiancee staying outside tonight?" asks Chengyu.
"Husband,not fiancee" replies Wang Qing while slightly nodding his head.
"I did not mean to offense you but in case you forgot,we are in public" reminds Chengyu. "Anyway,Qiushi told me to invite you over to our house later.He insisted on that,so you better show up" he adds before standing up and taking his leave. It is probably nice to be surrounding by people so he will not has unnecessary thoughts being all by himself.
Wang Qing shows up at Chengyu's apartment at night,bringing along a souvenir in his hand;a bottle of red wine.Both Chengyu and Qiushi welcome him with an open arms. They all had dinner in warm environment,thanks to Qiushi delicious meals.It's been a while since Wang Qing had homemade dinner.
"I can't believe it's been a year.Right dear?" says Qiushi as he walks in from the kitchen with glasses in his hand.They are still sitting at the dining table after dinner,enjoying the red wine that Wang Qing brought earlier.
"Time sure flies.Just look at you.From a man who only fooled around into a devoted husband,from an average officer into team leader.You changed the most among the three of us." Chengyu raises his glass,follow by Qiushi and Wang Qing.
"We probably won't see each other often from tomorrow onward but i am just thankful to have friends like both of you.Thank you.Let's toast to our never ending friendship and for the better future" says Wang Qing.
They spend the rest of the night drinking and chatting,recalling their best memories of their friendship.Apart from Dayu and Irene,both of them are those who truly know Wang Qing and probably will still be his pillar of strength even after they learn about the new Wang Qing.Night is getting deeper as they keep filling their glasses,drinking to their heart content.
"It's past midnight,i should get going now" says Wang Qing.His stomach can no longer be filled with liquid.His face feels bloated.
"Yes yes you should.It's going to be a long day tomorrow." Chengyu stands up.He tries to balance his weight as he keeps on opening his eyes.He is obviously drunk. Qiushi on the other hand already passed out on the couch.
"It's fine,you don't have to send me out.Take care of yourself pal." Wang Qing puts his hand inside his side pockets,searching for his car key.
"You take care too buddy"
Wang Qing got stunned for a moment as he did not expect the hug from Chengyu. They both lightly pat each other back before part ways.
Driving on the road,Wang Qing does not feel like going back to an empty home.A home without his other half waiting for him,does not feel like home at all.He takes a glimpse on the clock and wonder what could Dayu be doing at this hour.It is almost 2 in the morning. Dayu is probably sleeping.Wang Qing hesitates for a while before making a turn,heading toward the orphanage. Being half drunk,Wang Qing has to rely on the GPS to get there.
BANG BANG BANG!
A loud bang on the door at 2 in the morning is not something that anyone would want to hear.Luckily there's Irene,who can foresee the future stand by waiting for Wang Qing's arrival. She got the vision while serving for dinner earlier but did not tell Dayu about it.
"Just a light knock will do,my king" says Irene the moment she opened the door.
"I am sorry for coming this late.Did i disturb your sleep?" Wang Qing invites himself in.It still feel unfamiliar being called that by Irene but she strictly said it is necessary as she cannot call a dragon by the name.
Irene promptly shakes her head "No,i was waiting for your arrival"
"Ohh" Wang Qing looks around,taking notice into some changes in the interior.The wall was brownish but now it's in the shade of sunset with some hint of ocean green.
"He puts lot of effort in creating this" says Irene with a smile on her face as they both walk pass the hallway.
"Is someone coming?" Dayu suddenly shows up in his sleepwear,rubbing his eyes.Standing at the end of the hallway with a noticeable pout on his face,he narrows his eyes in attempt to have a better sight.
"Dayu....."
Dayu blinks his eyes repeatedly upon hearing the familiar voice.A huge figure is walking approaching him with arms wide open. A smile slowly appear on his face when he has better view on what's coming toward him.
"I missed you so much" says Wang Qing as he tightly wrap his arms around Dayu;so tight that Dayu feels like his bones going to crush.
"I missed you too but you have to let me breath" Dayu taps Wang Qing's back twice before he can finally breath. Seeing that heart warming scene,Irene slowly retreat to her room.
"Sorry for disturbing your sleep,but i want to see you" Wang Qing brings up his hands,placed them on top of Dayu's cheeks before leaning in for a quick peck on his lips.
"Are you drunk?" asks Dayu.The taste of red wine Wang Qing had earlier still linger in his mouth.
"Just a little" says Wang Qing; smiling. Dayu slips his hand inside Wang Qing's palm and intertwine his fingers before leading his husband toward his room.
[Okay guys,you know what happens in the room right?/cough;sexytime.]
Wang Qing manages to arrive on time at his new station.He is promoted to team leader for crime division specialized in solving cold cases.In another word,hunting soul takers.He makes return trips for a month before buying another apartment in nearby area.On weekend,he and Dayu would spend their times at the orphanage.Since Wang Qing is the only descendant of dragon king,immortals rely on him for their safety from soul takers.

10 years later in Wang Qing's office where he is seen checking  reports on his portable device,his assistant walks in with a cup of coffee in her hand :
Assistant : Chief,your coffee is ready /puts the coffee on the coffee table;
Wang Qing : Thank you /eyes fixed on the screen;
Assistant :Oh, your wife is here with your brother-in-law /standing beside the coffee table;
Wang Qing : Wife? /averts his gaze,staring at his assistant with a puzzle look.
Assistant : Yes,the one in the picture there.She is prettier in person /points at the picture on the table; Your brother in law is good looking as well,i wonder if he has girlfriend.
Irene : Sorry for barging in,we waited for so long.
Dayu : Are you still checking on reports?Don't tell me you forget what day it is /furrows his brows
Wang Qing : The wedding!Ah i forgot! /quickly gets up from his seat and grab his coat.Cancel all my meeting today,i have important wedding to attend.
Assistant : Yes chief /salutes;
Wang Qing : By the way i don't have a wife /approaching Dayu and placing his hand on the shoulder,pulling him closer; I am married to this man.So don't even dream of him.
Dayu : Uh? /blinks repeatedly.
Irene : Can we go now?
Assistant : ........................
It is Chengyu and Qiushi wedding day and all three of them are running late.

Guys,thank you so much for reading this fanfic.I know this one does not make any sense in the middle of it >_< It was not my intention but somehow it turned to this fantasy thing.Oh in case anyone wondering,Irene able to maintain her immortality by ascending back to immortal world and restore her essence. As for Dayu,he did not die from the arrow shot at him but rather left his human form and wondered in his immortal form. Okay?Okay- Now i am not really sure if i want to write another Qingyu fanfic because i have seen plenty of those around here.But if you want to request another one then i will think of a suitable plot.Until then,do check on my other fanfics.Thank you again /kisses;
