Prince Nayan was nervous and shy as he walked towards the guest room where Princess Anya was staying. He had been smitten by her ever since she arrived in his kingdom as part of a visit. He wanted to invite her to the mirror festival, a grand celebration of light and reflection that was held every year in his land. He hoped she would accept his invitation and maybe even share his feelings.

He knocked on the door softly and heard a sweet voice say "Come in". He opened the door and saw Princess Anya sitting on a couch, reading a book. She looked up and smiled when she saw him. She was wearing a simple but elegant dress that matched her eyes. Her long hair was braided and adorned with pearls. She was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.

"Good evening, Prince Nayan. What a pleasant surprise. To what do I owe this visit?" she asked politely.

"Good evening, Princess Anya. I hope you are enjoying your stay in my kingdom. I came to bring you a gift and an invitation." he said, holding out a bouquet of flowers and a box of gold jewelry.

She took the flowers and smelled them. They were fresh and fragrant. She opened the box and gasped. It contained a necklace, a bracelet, and a pair of earrings, all made of gold and studded with diamonds. They sparkled like stars in the night sky.

"These are beautiful, Prince Nayan. Thank you so much. You are very generous and kind." she said, admiring the jewelry. Shifting it to the table while still holding her book.

"It is my pleasure, Princess Anya. You deserve the best. And I hope you will do me the honor of accompanying me to the mirror festival tonight. It is a very special occasion in my kingdom and I would love to share it with you." he said, looking into her eyes.

She felt a warm sensation in her chest. Somehow Prince Nayan seemed so honest,He was handsome, charming, and respectful. He had shown her nothing but courtesy and hospitality since she arrived. She wanted to get to know him better and see if there was a chance for something more.

"I would be delighted to go with you, Prince Nayan. Thank you for inviting me. I am sure it will be a wonderful experience." she said, smiling.

He felt a surge of joy. She had accepted his invitation. He reached out and took her hand gently. She did not pull away. He leaned in and kissed her softly on the hand. She blushed and looked down.

Princess Indu was humming a cheerful tune as she walked towards the guest room where she and her sister Anya were staying in the Nanda Kingdom

As she reached the door of the guest room, she heard a soft gasp and and thud of something falling from inside. She pushed the door open and saw a sight that made her smile. Prince Nayan was standing in front of Anya, He had kissed her hand gently, quickly moved away and she was blushing and looking down. Indu was as much flustered as the both of them were.

"Anya, Nayan!" Indu exclaimed, entering the room. "Greetings to you too!"

Anya and Nayan both looked up, startled by Indu's sudden appearance. Nayan quickly withdrew his hand and stepped back, his face turning red. He bowed to Indu and muttered an apology and getting out of the room walking towards the door.

"Princess Indu, I'm sorry for intruding. I was just... I mean, I came to... I wanted to..." He stammered, unable to finish his sentence.

Indu giggled and waved her hand. "It's alright, Nayan. You don't have to explain anything. I can see that you like my sister."

Anya glared at Indu sharply, still avoiding Nayan's gaze. She felt a warm flutter in her chest, but also a pang of guilt. Even though it all felt exciting she didn't feel her heart flutter or rush as they described in those romantic novels maybe she was rushing into things, things were supposed to happen gradually she would eventually feel the things

Indu sensed her sister's hesitation and decided to lighten the mood. She walked over to the bed and sat next to Anya. She took her hand and squeezed it reassuringly.

"Don't worry, Anya. I'm sure everything will work out fine. Nayan is a good man, and he will do what's best for you and his kingdom. Besides, we're here to celebrate and attend a festival, not to worry about the future. Let's have some fun, shall we?"

She smiled brightly and pulled Anya to her feet.

"Come on, let's get ready for this mirror festival everyone keeps talking about."

The mirror festival of Nanda was a sacred tradition, dating back to the ancient times. It was held on the night of the full moon, when the sky was lit by thousands of stars. The people of Nanda would gather around a large bonfire, where they would place mirrors of various shapes and sizes. The mirrors were said to reflect the soul of the person who looked into them, revealing their true nature and destiny.

The royals prince and princess, Anya, Indu, and Arjun, were the guests of honor at the festival Amir was too young , and was sleeping peacefully meanwhile, They had been invited by Nayan, who had a special interest in them as clear as the sky tonight.

The myth said that the mirror was a gift from the gods, and it showed the destiny of the person who looked into it. Some saw glory and honor, some saw love and happiness, some saw sorrow and tragedy. The vision was always true, and no one could escape it or so.

Anya was the elder princess, She had to look into a round mirror, and the old priest would recite the vision they see in the mirror according to the ancient myth The old preist recites

They saw

her in a bright and beautiful garden,

wearing a white dress and a golden tiara, sitting next to a man,

who was smart and handsome,

and had a gentle smile.

⋆.ೃ࿔*:・

It makes her heart flutter as the old preist recites Indu and Arjun teasing her while Nayan concentrates, he seemed to believe in the myth wholeheartedly.

Indu also had a old preistess look at the mirror in front of her a blind preistess which made it a little ridiculous superstition how even did they see the vision.

Indu looked at her own mirror she wore a Lavender coloured Dress, for tonight it was her favourite colour and it made her smile at her own reflection, while was not paying attention at the predictions of Indu's own as she looked sideways where Princess Anya was there adorned in a cream coloured dress similar to her, she had taken extra effort for Anya's look as it was , already known Prince Nayan fancied her.

Ivaan was restless, unable to sleep unlike Varun and Nimit who were snoring loudly,He longed to see the true face of Nanda, the land of rich history and secrets and his new dream.

He had heard stories of the Nanda's night festival, He had seen glimpses of it from his window, but he wanted to experience it for himself. He wanted to feel the pulse of the crowd. He wore a simple cloak and a small mask, hoping to blend in with the revelers. He followed the sound of laughter and music, and soon found himself in the heart of the festival. The mirror festival where people were seated before a mirror and the priest beside them spewing up stuff, he was partly glad this was spread widly regardless of ghe boundaries, just like his stepmother people liked these as a form of entertainment, He was amazed by the sights and sounds that surrounded him. He saw dancers spinning and leaping, singers crooning and chanting, painters sketching in the light of moonlight aand candles magicians conjuring and dazzling.

⋆.ೃ࿔*:・

He smelled the fragrance of Jasmine and Saffron go past him capturing his attention,

He felt the warmth of the frangance in the breeze, the touch of the soft lavender colour silk flow passed his sword tucked on the sword.... and got released as smoothly He looked at the source only

The delicate silk was flowing long back to a attire detailed and beautifully drapped on a girl who walked past him.

He wandered towards that one attraction, losing track of time and direction. He did not even notice the that he had followed her to some distance.

Where she took a seat beside her were some old preistess and the Prince of Nanda he recognised him , but she was looking side ways beside her was a girl drapped in cream colour attire similar in style rich and royal , they were princess clearly he knew that the kingdom of Nanda only had one Heir so they would be the visiting guests, it will not be difficult to find out who she was the commonners would have spread the word of the guests who adorned the Festival.

He was mesmerized by her presence her scent that had flowed past him that made him follow her what he didn't realise was the mirror that was placed before her. He looked at the mirror, and his breath caught in his throat. There, in the mirror, he saw the most beautiful person he had ever seen.

She was surrounded by flowers and the bright lights of Diya, to his vision nobody stood out before her, it was as the all his focus was turned to her when he saw the face in that mirror.

She had long black hair that was beautifully wrapped up with flowers and jewelry, and a delicate face that sparkled like a pearl.

Her eyes were bright and joyful, filled with delight and fun. Her lashes were long and thick, which emphasized her expressive eyes, they had their own language.

Her smile was gorgeous and, exposing her pearly white teeth and dimples.

She wore a lavender dress that fitted her contours, and she accessorized with gold earrings and bangles that dangled and jingled as she moved. Her voice was like feint melody from the distance

she laughed and talked to others around her.

He was fixed there He was mesmerized by her beauty, and felt a wave of admiration and attraction. He wanted to see her face, not just her reflection. He wanted to hear her voice, not just her laughter from afar,He wanted to touch her hair, push aside that tiny hair flowing to her face.

He quickened his pace, and reached the entrance. He looked around, and saw many people like the princess. He smiled and felt his heart skip a beat.

⋆.ೃ࿔*:・

He walked towards her,. But stopped himself at a fair distance where he could faintly hear the priest, which broke him from his spell bringing him back to reality.

Anya's Predictions.

"He would be the wise and intelligent man, someone who will be an ally of Rana. He will be the one who had solved many problems and conflicts, who will be written  in many books and poems, who had respect and admiration from all."

Anya felt a joy and a wonder. How could this be? She had never met and known the wise and intelligent man, not yet.....can this be Nayan.........she had only know him for some time......... Maybe , was she supposed to be with him , can she ever be with him, was this her fate ?  It didn't lit a sparkle in her atleast not now.

She looked at the priest, hoping that he would say that it was a blessing, that the mirror was right, that the vision was good. But the priest's face was grave and serious, and he spoke the words that shocked her.

"Anya, daughter of Rana, this is your destiny , and fate it not something written on stone, it changes it directions like a flowing lake

You will be tied with the wise and intelligent man, and you will be his wife. You will live in his garden, and you will share his knowledge.

And you will be the one who changes his fate. You will betray him, and steal his secrets, and cause of a war. But you will also bring peace and happiness at the cost that will be heavy to hold.

It's in your hands my dear you will make it or break it"

Anya felt a chill running down her spine, but she could not move a muscle. She felt a guilt weighing on her soul, but she could not say a word. She felt a doubt creeping in her mind, but she could not ask a question. She felt a shadow falling on her face.

She looked at the priest, hoping that he would say that it was a mistake, that the mirror was broken, that the vision was false. But the priest's face was pale and solemn, and he spoke the words that sealed her fate.

Nayan looked tensed to, but Arjun brushed it off calling it bullshit refusing to get his fate read and taking away Anya from the old preist.

She was haunted by the revelation

Indu should have stopped herself but she didn't believed such superstitions and it hurt her more at how hurt Anya was how hurtful they were no one dared to talk to them like this she scolded prince Nayan for this.

"Excuse me, but I think we've had enough of this. Nayan, Anya let's go. We have better things to do than listen to this old man's lies." Indu backed Arjun as she got up.

"How dare you, you insolent girl! You have no respect for the ancient arts, and you mock the wisdom of the stars."

Indu rolled her eyes and snorted. "Oh, please. Save your curses for someone who cares. Come on, guys, let's get out of here."

Ivaan was amused by this , even she didn't believe in such nonsense.

"Wait, Indu, maybe we should listen to her. Maybe she knows something we don't. Maybe we should be careful."

Indu stopped and turned to face Nayan, her expression incredulous. She shook her head and about to scold him.

"Prince Nayan, are you serious? You're a prince, for heaven's sake. You have a mind of your own. You don't need some old scammer to tell you what to do, or what to fear. You have your own destiny, and you can make it whatever you want. Don't let her fool you, or scare you. he's nothing but a fraud, and a bad one at that."

Arjun sighed at this .

⋆.ೃ࿔*:・

"Okay, Arjun, you're right. Let's go. I'm sorry for dragging you all into this. Especially Anya Im sorry It was a stupid idea." He turned to the old man and bowed slightly. He said politely. "Thank you for your time, Sir. But I'm afraid we have to go. Goodbye." Nayan said.

Indu held Anya's hand and rushed out of it with guard following them and blocking and surrounding them taking them back to the palace Arjun hated it acussing them to be scammer creating irrational fears in the heart of people.

Ivaan saw Arjun and recognised him he had seen that face he tightened the mask on his face looking side ways until the royals had left the area.

He kept looking at the mirror, moments before he saw the face of the beauty, As the blind preistess went on talking without realising too much into her art it seemed she looked into the mirror and speaked, she saw a scene

(Indu's predictions)

Princess wearing a crown of thorns, surrounded by flames and blood.

And she saw her childhood friend lying on the ground, stabbed.......

⋆.ೃ࿔*:・

Ivaan stopped listening it was same everywhere he thought he would rather catch up some sleep that to listen to this bullshit about future.

He faintly heard the rest as he walked away

"You will rise against your own, and you will take the throne. You will ...

........bring war and you ...........will be hated and betrayed, by your beloved....."

.

.

.

....

...

..

Ivaan walked back to his tent smiling and feeling a warmth in his chest, maybe he should listen to his stepmother for once, surely he wouldn't mind waking up to a beautiful face like that.
