I Got Married Without YouWords: 2424

Chapter 1062 Fell into a Living Hell When Edith saw Ryan, she paused for a moment but didn’t stay long. She picked up her bag and quickly walked past him.

Ryan caught sight of Edith, who nodded politely at him as well and he reciprocated with a slight nod of his own.

Before coming to the Imperial Capital, Eva had told Ryan, so when she arrived, he came to pick her up at the airport. Eva hurriedly walked towards him, accompanied by Jayden.

“Ryan, didn’t I tell you that I would go to your house by myself?

Why did you come to the airport to pick me up?”

Ryan gave a faint smile.

“I’m not too busy on the weekend, so I come and pick you up.”

With that, Ryan’s gaze landed on Jayden.

“Dr. Sherwood?”

Jayden often read financial magazines and was familiar with the featured Mr. Collins on the cover.

Although Ryan was sitting in a wheelchair, he remained as elegant and refined as he was on a magazine cover.

It was evident that Ryan was true as described in the magazine –

well-educated and elegant.

Jayden had always admired talented people, and without thinking, he took a step forward and extended his hand to Ryan.

“Hello, Mr. Collins. I’m Jayden, Eva’s boyfriend.”

“I have heard her talk about you.”

Ryan, being very polite, shook Jayden’s hand in return.

Eva probably thought Jayden was pretty good, so she often mentioned him to Ryan.

Ryan knew that Eva wanted to lead by example and tell him that they could move on.

Every time Ryan read Eva’s motivational words, he also struggled along but found himself sinking deeper the more he struggled.

He might as well let the nature take its course. There was nothing better than letting things be and waiting for life to pass by in a more enjoyable way.

Eva didn’t know the extent of Ryan’s severe depression, and the darkness, loneliness, and confusion that he felt inside.

Just by looking at his good complexion and the smile in his eyes, she felt that he was living a good life, and her anxious heart was put at ease.

Jayden was a doctor, but he could feel Ryan’s uniqueness with just one glance. At first, he just felt that Ryan was different.

But through his smile, gaze, conversation, and eating habits, Jayden could tell that Ryan had been putting on a facade.

The feeling of struggling to move on but being powerless to do so made Ryan feel like he was in a living hell, unable to climb out no matter how hard he tried.
