Chapter 34 Take It
âMs. Garcia, weâve arrived at your home.â
Amelia was pushed awake and struggled to open her eyelids. All she could see were dark shadows, making it difficult to see anything.
She knew that her illness had worsened due to being drenched in the rain, but thankfully her thoughts were still clear, and she remembered that she was in Paulâs car.
She quickly sat up straight, thanked Paul again, then pushed open the door and exited the car.
âMs. Garciaâ¦â
Paul stopped her, took an umbrella from the back seat, and handed it to her. âItâs still raining heavily.
Take it.â
Amelia saw the logo on the umbrella and knew it was worth tens of thousands of dollars. She was afraid she wouldnât have the chance to return it to him, so she softly declined, âThank you, but itâs only a few steps away. Iâll run over there.â
Paul was stunned for a moment. He seemed to have read her mind and thrown the umbrella at her.
âYou donât have to return
it.â
Amelia was in a dilemma, but when she saw that Paul wouldnât
allow her to refuse, she had to accept it.

After two steps in the rain, she felt dissatisfied and turned to
Paul.
âMr. Evans, thank you for sending me home, but you donât have to look at me like that. I just think that the umbrella you gave me is too expensive. Iâm afraid I wonât have a chance to return it to you, so I refused.â
After saying that, Amelia turned around and ran into the neighborhood without caring about his expression.

Looking at the petite figure, Paul was a little stunned.
