Chapter 39 Died in the Past
Amelia pushed the drip machine to her ward, and Eva happened to come back with porridge. When she saw Amelia get up, she hurried over.
âYou just recovered from a fever and are now walking around recklessly. Do you not care about your life?â
Eva pressed her to sit on the hospital bed and lectured her straight-faced, âYou have a heart attack.
Donât be so careless.â
Amelia felt a warmth in her heart. She pursed her lips and smiled. âI get the report.â
Eva lifted the lid of the porridge box and said, âIâll help you get it. Why are you walking around?â
After that, she stretched out her hand with concern. âWhereâs the report? Show it to me.â
Amelia blinked. She didnât want to lie to Eva but still went against her will and said, âI went to find the doctor to read the report, but I left it in the consulting room.â
Hearing her words, Eva didnât think much about it. She only cared about her physical condition. âWhat did the report say?â
âItâs just a blood test. Iâm fine,â Amelia replied calmly.
Eva stopped stirring the porridge and looked at Amelia very seriously. âYouâre different from ordinary people. You have a heart attack, and the most important thing is to have a blood test.â
Amelia smiled and said, âI know. The doctor said that I was fine. My heart is fine. Donât worry.â After hearing that, Eva felt relieved. She handed the porridge to Amelia and said, âI bought your favorite preserved egg and lean meat porridge. Have some first.â
Amelia took it and started spooning it.
Eva looked at her pale face and wanted to say something but stopped on second thought.
She had heard Amelia call out to Ryan if she hadnât misheard.
That young man had always been taboo. After so many years, it was the first time she had heard her call out his name in her sleep.
Eva wanted to ask Amelia if she had forgotten about Ryan, but she didnât want to reveal her scars.
Eva thought for a long time and finally chose to sh ut up. Ryan had already died in the past, so mentioning him would only make her more annoyed.
