Colby's POV
"What the fuck do you mean?" I asked angrily. "The men have gone crazy. They're killing eachother left and right, you have to come back." Jeremy said as I nodded.
I knew that this would probably happen, but it didn't change anything.
None of them were allowed to leave until I figured out who was trust worthy.
"Have any of them tried to talk to Will?" I asked and put my hand on my head. "No. I'm the only one who has access to the room." Jeremy said as I nodded.
"He's still there, correct?" I asked with a sigh. "Of course. He really wants to talk to Julia." Jeremy said as I rolled my eyes.
"It's not happening." I said then started pacing the room.
"Get everyone who is alive and get them in the conference room. Tell them I'll be back in a couple of days and that I'll deal with this then. Tell them to stop killing others and to just relax." I explained.
I knew this probably wasn't going to solve any of the violence and to be honest I didn't care if they all killed eachother.
It would make leaving the crime world easier.
Leaving has been on my mind for a long time but after everything that's happened to Julia, I knew it needed to happen.
Julia deserved a normal life, with no harm or danger.
She deserved more.
"Okay, man. I'll try to calm them down." Jeremy said as I nodded. "Thanks, Jeremy. See you in a couple days." I said then hung up.
"Everything okay?" Nate asked as I shook my head. "My gang is feral." I said with a sigh.
"Just don't know what to do next. I should let them all kill eachother so I don't have to deal with it." I said with a sigh.
"Whatever happens I know you'll do the right thing." Nate said then clapped his hand on my back.
"Yeah. Thanks, man. For everything." I said with a sigh. "Anytime. Are you gonna stick around for a little while?" Nate asked as I shook my head.
"Gotta take Jules back to the house." I said with a sigh. "Poor girl has been through too much." I said then put my phone in my pocket and turned to leave the room.
"Yeah, she's a strong girl. She'll get through this with the help of you. You're doing a good job." He said as I shook my head.
"I got her into this mess. She doesn't deserve it." I said then walked into the room Julia and Sam were in.
Julia was sitting on the couch, her legs folded to her chest. She was trembling and her eyes were filled with tears.
Sam was sitting next to her, quietly reading her a book. It warmed my heart that Sam was so gentle with Julia.
He loved her like a sister and it was all I could ask for.
"Ready to go, sweetheart?" I asked causing Julia to look up at me. She nodded then looked at Sam.
"Thanks." She whispered then stood up. "Any time, Jules." He said then looked at me.
"Maybe I can bring the girls over to hang out later." He said as I took Julia's hand.
"Yeah, I'll let you know. Thanks for everything." I said then turned to leave the room. "Are you hungry, Jules?" I asked as we left the house.
"No." She whispered, letting me lead her out of the house.
"We should probably get some sort of food in you. It's not good for you to be without food." I said and led the way to the car.
Julia shrugged then got in the car. I sighed then made my day over to the drivers side.
"Is anyone watching us?" Julia asked as I got in the car.
"What?" I asked and looked over at her. "It's just...is someone watching us?" She asked as I shook my head.
"Not that I know of. I'm gonna make sure nobody is though." I said then started the car.
I didn't know how exactly I was going to do that, but I was going to try my hardest.
As I drove down the road, I stayed focused on my surroundings, making sure nobody was following of watching.
I didn't really know who in LA would be watching or following but it didn't matter, I needed to be cautious.
I stopped and grabbed us a pizza then went back to the house.
When we got into the house, Julia sniffled and shifted uncomfortably. "What's wrong, sweetheart?" I asked and turned to her.
"I..I just wanna hide." She whispered. I felt my heart sink, knowing how broken she was.
I wanted so desperately to just fast forward time to where things were more normal.
I would do literally anything to just see her smile.
"I wish you wouldn't, but if it helps you then I support it." I said then turned towards her and brushed her hair behind her ears.
Julia looked up at me with dewey eyes, a broken but apologetic look on her face.
"Don't feel bad, darling. Take some time for yourself, I'll be here whenever you're ready." I encouraged then kissed her forehead.
She nodded then turned and went into the second bedroom so she could hide away.
It hurt that she wanted to hide, but I was proud of her for communicating it with me.
I couldn't imagine how fucked up her emotions were and how scared she was to even exist.
I was seeing some improvement with her every day, though.
I ended up being able to work for a while before I decided to give Sam a call.
"Hey, man. What's up?" Sam asked as I sighed and leaned back into the couch.
"Hey, Julia is uh...decompressing." I said and ran my hand through my hair.
"Oh, is she okay?" Sam asked as I shook my head. "She's doing her best. Is there any way you can bring the girls over. I think having them around will help." I said as he hummed.
"Yeah, Devyn and Tara are out with Jake and Corey, but I can bring Stas and Kat." He said as I nodded.
"Perfect. I need to talk to you about some stuff." I said as Julia emerged from the bedroom. "Yeah, I assume you've got some shit going on." Sam said as Julia timidily made her way over to me.
"Always. I'll see you soon?" I asked and patted the couch so Julia would sit next to me.
"Yeah, we'll leave in a couple minutes." Sam said as I nodded. "Okay, bye." I said then hung up.
"Sam, Kat, and Stas are gonna come over soon." I said and wrapped my arm around Julia.
"Okay." Julia said quietly, leaning into me. "Are you feeling okay?" I asked then leaned over and kissed her head.
"I don't know what to do." She said with a sigh. I was so proud that she was actually talking a little more and was going to open up.
"Are you leaning a certain way?" I asked as she shook her head. "I wish it never happened." She said then sniffled.
"The way they touched me." She said and shook her head. "I know." I said, trying to keep my anger at bay.
I obviously wasn't angry with her at all, just the people who thought it was okay to touch her and violate her.
I was angry at her own father for doing what he did to her.
I haven't really taken the time to digest those feelings.
Quill was a sick individual who deserved to meet his demise the way he did.
I just wished that Julia wouldn't have to suffer with the heavy baggage that went with killing her father.
Part of me thought she was caught up in the pregnancy situation, and that she hadn't fully dealt with the emotions of killing her father.
I couldn't blame her but I was nervous for the aftermath of that.
"I know it might be painful to keep a baby made in such a horrible way, but if you want to keep it...I'll help you." I said then kissed her head.
"I think I would hate it." She said, her voice cracking.
"I would hate my child when it wasn't its fault." She said shakily. "B-but on the other hand.." She said and looked up at me, a tear slipping down her cheek.
"I couldn't abort it...it wouldn't be fair." She said as I wiped her cheek. "A-after I lost our baby, I didn't think that I could feel a worse pain." She explained.
"But here we are." She whispered, her voice breaking.
My heart ached for the girl I loved.
She had been through so much and she was so strong, but her kind heart was possibly going to fuck her for the rest of her life.
Keeping the baby would be painful because it was made in such a hateful way with someone who didn't care for Julia.
Aborting the baby would also be painful because it would bring back the memories of her losing the baby we had made together.
No matter which way she went, there would be heartbreak.
