I stared into Colby's eyes for a second before my gaze flickered to the little vile in his hand.

He didn't say anything to me but glanced over to where Mike was dancing, looking directly at him.

When he looked back at me I almost didn't recognize the hard as steal gaze he had.

I narrowed my eyes, feeling anger boil in me as the realization hit.

"Are you trying to fucking kill my date?" I hissed as he narrowed his eyes at me.

"You're with that man?" He asked coldly. "Like you didn't fucking know." I grumbled.

"Jules I-" He started with an annoyed tone. "DON'T fucking call me that." I seethed angrily. "Why are you trying to kill my date? Are you fucking stalking me?" I asked as he rolled his eyes.

"Don't flatter yourself. He's dangerous, Julia. You shouldn't be around him." Colby said as I clenched my jaw.

"Coming from you, that's fucking hilarious." I said as he rolled his eyes. "I'm serious, Julia." He said as I shook my head.

"Is he dangerous or are you fucking obsessed with ruining my life?" I asked as anger flooded his features.

"I'm just doing my job, sweetheart." He said causing anger to course through my already heated veins.

"Are you the reason random men have been talking to me lately?!" I asked as his face fell slightly, only for it to be replaced again by the hard and serious glare that looked so out of place on his face.

"What men?" He asked as I rolled my eyes. "As if you didn't know." I said with an angry laugh then looked over at Mike.

"Leave me alone. Leave US alone. You've done enough damage." I said then pushed passed him and towards Mike again.

"Everything okay?" He asked as I pulled his shirt, bringing his lips to mine.

I had to admit I wanted to make Colby jealous since I knew he was here but kissing Mike felt so wrong.

I didn't like the feeling of his lips against mine but I didn't care at this moment.

"Can we leave?" I asked as I pulled away. "Already?" He asked as I nodded. "I wanna go home." I said as he shrugged.

"Yeah, sure." He said then took my hand and led the way through the crowd.

"Who was that guy you were talking to?" He asked as I shook my head. "Just some asshole who ran into me." I said as we walked to the car.

I couldn't believe that he was so obsessed that he has been stalking me. He was the one who broke up with me.

Plus, it's been literally four years since I've been with someone. How convenient of him to show up right when I find someone.

"Did you want me to just take you home or did you want to go somewhere else?" Mike asked as I shook my head.

"Home please." I said and got in the car. I felt bad we were cutting our date short but I was so frazzled after seeing Colby.

How did he even know where to find me?

It's not like I've talked to him or his friends in forever. There was no reason for him to be in Spokane other than to fucking bother me.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Mike asked as I nodded. "I'm fine. Just have a headache and want to go to bed. I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you." I said then sighed and closed my eyes.

"Don't worry about it, Jules." He said then kept driving.

There was a nagging voice in the back of my head that was telling me Mike was dangerous.

No. I couldn't let Colby get in my head.

When we got back to my house I got out of the car. "Let me at least walk you to the door." Mike said as he got out of the car.

"Sorry for being so frazzled..I just...uh I struggle with seizures and I feel one coming on." I lied as he shook his head.

"Hey, don't worry about it. It's all good." He said and put his hands on my shoulders. "Call me if you need to talk." He said then gave me a gentle kiss.

"Thanks, I'll see you later." I said then went inside and locked the door.

I hated the hysteria that was boiling within me. I hated that seeing Colby brought back the fresh pain of him leaving.

I hated the way I was feeling.

"You're back already?" Stacie asked as I walked into the living room, holding back tears.

"Woah..hey.." She said and stood up, coming over to me.

"What did he do to you?" Parker asked and stood up. "It's not that." I whispered and looked over at Carter and Sam who were sitting on the floor and looking at me.

"No...something happened." Stacie said then hugged me. I hugged her back, closing my eyes against the tears.

"Come on. Let's talk about it." She said then led me towards the kitchen.

As soon as we were away from the kids, I let the tears fall down my cheeks.

"What happened?" Stacie asked and wiped my tears.

"I saw my ex and I guess feelings just rose up." I said and tried to compose myself. My hands were shaking and I was getting too emotional.

I didn't want to have a panic attack.

"Holy shit, how?" She asked as I shook my head. "I don't know. I hate that I ran into him. I hate that part of me misses him." I said as she went to get me some water.

"You loved him, those feeling don't just go away. You saw him but the chances of seeing him again are low." She said and handed me the glass of water.

"God, you're trembling." She said as I shakily took a sip of the water.

"I feel sick." I said as she frowned. "Try not to worry about it. Do you want Parker and I to stay the night?" She asked as I sighed.

"If you don't mind." I said as she nodded. "Of course. Let me just let Parker know." She said then left the room.

I felt safer having more adults in the house. If something were to happen it would be easier to protect the kids.

I tried to calm down but his words were hanging in the air.

He's dangerous, Julia. You shouldn't be around him.

Sweetheart.

Jules.

I hated him.

"Okay, we're gonna stay but Parker has to get some clothes." She said as I nodded.

"You guys can sleep in my room." I said and took a sip of water.

"Don't be silly." She said with a laugh. "I probably won't get much sleep and I'll feel better staying down here." I said as she sighed.

"You're really freaked out, huh?" She asked as I nodded. "Im gonna put the kids to bed. It's late." I said then put the water on the counter.

"Come on guys, time for bed." I said quietly as I walked into the room.

"Are you okay, Jules?" Carter asked as I nodded. "Yeah, just feeling kinda sick." I said and led the way upstairs.

"Do I need to beat up Mike?" Sam asked as I shook my head. "No, tough guy. Everything is fine." I said then led him towards his room.

"You don't have to tuck me in." Sam said causing me to laugh. "I know, I want to though. It'll make me feel better." I said as he nodded.

"Whatever helps, Jules." He said then got into bed. "I love you always. Remember that." I said as he nodded. "I love you, too." He said as I kissed his head.

When I left the room, Carter and Jenna were standing in the hallway, staring at me.

"Hi, guys." I said as Jenna crossed her arms. "You're gonna tell us what's up, right?" She asked as I shook my head.

"Just had a bad encounter at the bar." I said as Carter frowned. "Did you take a pill?" He asked as I shook my head.

"No. I'm not doing that anymore. Just don't worry, okay?" I asked as they nodded. "Get some sleep, I'm gonna try to make a nice breakfast." I said as they nodded.

"Love you, Jule." They said at the same time. "I love you, too." I said then went into Juniper's room to check on her.

Luckily she was fast asleep, looking cute as ever with her thumb in her mouth.

"Love you." I whispered to her then left to go get changed.

When I got into the bedroom I got dressed and changed my sheets so that Stacie and Parker could sleep in here.

It felt silly to be so scared but seeing Colby jolted something in me that I didn't want to accept.

Once my room was prepared I went downstairs.

"Everything is clean upstairs. I really appreciate this." I said as Stacie nodded.

"I'm sorry you're going through this." She said quietly. "I'll survive. I always do." I said as Parker came into the house with a duffle bag.

"Thanks again, Parker." I said as he grinned and locked the door. "Don't worry about it, Jules. We love you." He said as my eyes watered.

I was so lucky to have a support system like them.

Once Stacie and Parker were situated upstairs I went into the kitchen and grabbed a knife before sitting on the couch with a blanket wrapped around me.

I wasn't going to be sleeping at all because the adrenaline was coursing through my veins.

I aimlessly scrolled through my phone as my mind raced. Before I could even process what I was doing, I was dialing a number and bringing my phone to my ear.

"Hello?" Colby's best friend, Sam, answered with a confused tone.
