The next couple weeks went by slowly. I would spend all day in Colby's apartment which was driving me absolutely insane.
Every day I would get to have a different person there to babysit me, which was good for me but annoying for the guys.
It was hard developing a relationship with Colby because I would hardly see him. I knew we were in a lovey dovey sort of situation now but it would die out eventually.
I didn't want that to happen.
Today was Sam's turn to hang out with me and we were playing a card game.
"Ha. I win." I said and showed him my cards. "Very good, Jules. Now we need to take you back to Vegas. Your poker face is amazing." He said with a laugh.
"Thank you thank you." I said with a grin and started cleaning up the cards.
"You hungry?" Sam asked and stood up. "Kinda." I said as the front door opened.
"What are you doing back so early?" I asked Colby as he Jake, and Corey all walked into the apartment.
It was only three o clock which was extremely early for them to back. I was lucky if Colby came back before eleven most nights.
"Have things to do here." Colby said then came over and gave me a kiss.
"Like what?" I asked as he chuckled. "Hopefully you." He said as my cheeks flushed.
"Alright. We're out." Sam said then started shooing Jake and Corey out of the apartment.
"I'll text you about tomorrow." Colby said then wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me close.
As soon as the door closed he brought his lips to mine again, this time with more passion.
"Are you really done for the day?" I mumbled against his lips. "Mhmm." He said and moved his hands to my ass.
I gasped as he deepened the kiss, groping my ass. "At least take me to dinner first." I said with a laugh as he pulled away and attached his lips to my neck.
"Whatever you want, sweetheart." He said then pulled away. "Really?" I asked as he nodded. "Yeah. We can go get dinner then come back here and I'll have dessert." He said with a devilish grin.
"What's got you all horny?" I asked with a laugh and turned to go into the bedroom so I could get changed.
"We haven't had sex in four years. I think it's time." Colby said with a laugh. "Ya know, to make sure we still got it." He said as I grinned.
"You and your ten side chicks have been practicing. I'm rusty." I said and started get changed.
"You're hot as fuck." He said and leaned against the door frame so he could watch me change.
"Doesn't mean I know how to fuck." I said with a shrug then turned to him. "Dinner first." I said with a smile.
"Wherever you want to go." He said as I walked over to him. "Somewhere nice." I said then kissed him.
"Perfect. I'll surprise you." He said then turned me around and smacked my ass. "Get in a dress." He said then turned and left the room.
I loved how hot and steamy our relationship has become. Granted, we weren't a couple yet.
I was hoping he would take this opportunity to be super romantic and since he was already taking control of the date, I would assume he was taking the hint.
I laughed at myself because I had just changed but if he said to put a dress on then I would put a dress on.
I didn't have many options due to the fact that I didn't live here or have any clothes here but there was a nice black dress in the closet that would fit me.
Once I was dressed, I made my way out to the living room where Colby was.
"Beautiful." He said then grinned. "Give me five minutes to change, then we'll go." He said then left to go back into the bedroom.
I sighed then grabbed the boots that I had next to the door. They were knee length black boots that I have been wearing.
I honestly don't know why but they made me feel like a badass.
"Okay, sweetheart. Ready to go?" Colby asked as he walked out of the room wearing a suit. It never failed to amaze me how well this man cleaned up.
I let my eyes trail up and down his body for a second, taking in how attractive he looked.
"Stop looking at me like that unless you don't want to go to dinner." Colby said as I giggled.
"Sorry. Come on." I said then reached my hand out for him to take.
"Is it safe to be doing this?" I asked as he nodded. "Always armed, baby." He said and pulled his suit jacket out to reveal a gun.
It made me sad that we couldn't live life like normal and that there was always a chance that the night would end in a shoot out.
It was just the life we stumbled into.
When we got to the car, Colby opened my door for me. "Thank you." I said quietly and got in the car.
I was excited to just be leaving the house. It was taking a toll on me that I was trapped in Colby's one bedroom apartment.
I knew it was for my safety but it didn't mean that it was enjoyable.
"I'm excited." I said quietly as Colby put his hand on my thigh. "Yeah, I missed having someone to be around." He said quietly.
"You really shut down, didn't you?" I asked and looked over at him.
"I had to. It's just too dangerous to have people this close." He said with a sigh.
"Isn't danger fun?" I asked, remember the first time he ever said it to me.
"It can be." He said with a chuckle then pulled up to a restaurant that looked really fucking fancy.
I remember my dad talking about it when I was a kid.
It was the fanciest steakhouse that Seattle had to offer.
Colby parked against the curb then got out and walked around to open my door for me.
"Thank you." I said with a small smile and took his hand, letting him help me out.
"You're welcome, sweetheart." Colby said and wrapped his arm around me, handing his keys to the valet driver.
"This place is really nice." I said as we made our way inside.
"I gotta fully win you over." Colby said with a laugh. "Yeah, still kinda pissed about the whole leaving me thing. I can't believe we are doing this to eachother again." I said quietly.
"That was a mistake and I promise I'll show you how sorry I am." He said as we walked up to the hostess stand.
"Reservation?" The girl asked and looked up at us. "Not tonight. I was hoping you would be able to make some accommodations for us." Colby said and flashed a charming smile while sliding her a fifty dollar bill.
"Sure thing." She said with a smile then put her hand on her earpiece. "Clear table fifty four." She said then smiled at us.
"Just a moment." She said as Colby rubbed my hip gently. "So you have the power to seduce everyone into doing what you want?" I asked as he nodded.
"Yeah, but you're the one that's gonna end up in my bed." He said then kissed my head.
"Right this way, sir." The woman said then led the way through the restaurant.
"Here you are." The woman said and gestured to the table. "Thank you." I said as Colby pulled my chair out for me.
"That's so cute." The hostess said under her breath then walked away.
"Oh. I forgot to tell you, I need my meds refilled." I said as Colby nodded.
"How many do you have left?" He asked and pulled his phone out. "Negative two." I said as he frowned.
"Julia.." He said with disappointment. "I know. I'm sorry." I said with a sigh. "I set a reminder. I'll get them tomorrow." He said then put his phone away and took my hand.
"Thank you. I promise I'm not an idiot." I said as he chuckled. "I know you're not, Jules." He said and rubbed his thumb along my hand.
We ended up both ordering some steaks which were absolutely delicious.
It felt good to be able to spend time with just Colby.
"What if I took you on a trip?" Colby asked as we waited for the valet to bring our car.
"A trip?" I asked as he nodded. "When all of this is done, I wanna take you somewhere." He said then opened the door as soon as it was parked in front of us.
I smiled and got in the car, then waited for Colby to get in the drivers side.
"When all of this is said and done, I want to go home." I said quietly as he took my hand, driving away from the restaurant.
"Maybe..well maybe I could come with you." He said as I looked over.
"I don't let random men into my home." I said with a grin. "Right. Would you let a boyfriend into your home?" He asked as I nodded.
"Yeah. I would." I said and looked over at him. "Good to know." He said then brought my hand to his lap.
We drove in comfortable silence for a little while before we finally got back to Colby's apartment building.
"Thank you for dinner. It was really nice." I said as we made our way into his apartment. "Anytime, sweetheart." He said then closed the door.
"So..." Colby said and put his hands on my waist, turning me to face him. "Yes?" I asked and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" Colby asked as I sighed. "Promise you won't leave a break up note and flee the state?" I asked as he chuckled.
"I promise." He said with a nod. "Then yes." I said then put my hand then leaned forwards and kissed him, letting myself melt into him.
Colby groaned and pulled me closer, lifting me into his arms before he turned and made his way towards the bedroom.
