Colby and I ended up eating our McDonald's before we made our way back to the hotel.
"Ugh, I'm so full." I said as we walked into the room. "It's better to be full than hungry, right?" Colby asked as I shrugged.
"I guess." I said with a sigh, unlacing the back of my dress.
"Did you know the guys that were fighting?" I asked quietly. "No." Colby said simply as he unbuttoned his shirt.
"What exactly happened? Did one of them die?" I asked as he looked up at me.
"You really wanna know?" He asked as I chewed my lip. "No. You're right." I said then let my dress fall to the ground.
I reached for my bag when Colby took my hand, stopping me. "What?" I asked and looked up at him.
There was a playful look in his eyes as he looked me up and down. "You're drooling." I said with a laugh as he nodded and lifted me up, throwing me onto the bed.
We ended up having some amazing sex before I was finally able to get dressed in my comfortable clothes.
"What's our plan for tomorrow?" I asked and crawled into bed. "Hmm. I don't know. Maybe we can go to lunch with the girls." Colby said causing me to smile.
"You'd want to come with us to lunch?" I asked as he pulled me into his embrace.
"I want you to have fun. The girls won't be the happiest that I'm there, but maybe I can bring Sam and we can sit at a different table." He said as I nodded.
"I would like that." I said as he kissed my head. "Okay. Get some sleep, sweetheart." He said as I nodded and rested my head on his chest, letting myself drift off to nothingness.
"Jule?" Jenna asked as I walked out of my bedroom at our house in Spokane.
"Jen?" I asked back, not knowing where her voice was coming from. "Ouch! Stop!" She cried out with fear in her voice.
"Jenna?!" I yelled then ran as fast as I could down the stairs.
When I got there, I saw Carter, Sam, and Juniper all tied up in the corner. They all had tears in their eyes as they stared at me with fear.
On the other side of the room was my mom, holding Jenna by her hair as she smacked the ever-loving fuck out of her.
"Stop!" I screamed and ran over to her, tackling my mom so that she would let go of Jenna. "You ungrateful little girl!" Mom seethed, reaching for Jenna.
"Leave her alone!" I yelled then pushed my mom against the wall, giving Jenna the opportunity to escape.
The hatred I had for this woman was coursing through my veins that I clenched my jaw, bringing my fist to her cheek as hard as I could.
I didn't care about any sort of repercussion as I punched her, letting my frustration out. It wasn't until I heard the chilling voice of my father behind me.
"Enough, Juliana." He said into my ear, just before I heard the click of a gun being taken off of the safety.
I bolted up, gasping for air. It had been a while since I had a nightmare like that and it had been forever since I had seen my dad in a dream.
When he first died, I would dream about him all the time. He would be constantly trying to kill me or Colby in my dreams.
When I started to despise Colby, I let him.
I sat up for a second, trying to let myself breathe. I knew I was worried about my siblings because my mom sucked, but I didn't think she would tie them up like that.
I hoped she wasn't beating Jenna like that.
Colby groaned slightly as his hand patted the spot next to him.
Was he looking for me?
I frowned and laid back, feeling his arms wrap around me again. My heart melted as he pulled me closer, humming with relief.
Colby was a scary guy but in moments like this, he was angelic. The way the moonlight was shining through the window and hitting his face had me melting.
I sighed, resting my head on his chest again, hoping I could actually fall asleep.
I laid awake for a few hours before my body finally let me sleep again.
"Shit." I heard Colby whisper, causing me to open my eyes slowly.
"Ah, fuck. Sorry, Jules. I didn't mean to wake you." Colby said as I shook my head, stretching my arms out.
"It's okay. What happened?" I asked and sat up, rubbing my eyes.
"I just hit my knee on the fucking bed frame. Hurt like a bitch." He said as I breathed a laugh. "Want me to kiss it to make it better?" I asked as he chuckled.
"You're a loser." He said then sat on the bed. "I talked to Sam. He said lunch with the girls is a good idea." He said as I nodded.
"So I should get ready?" I asked and got out of bed. "Yeah. We'll leave at eleven." He said then came over and kissed my cheek.
"Good morning by the way." He said with a small smile. "Good morning." I said then put my hand on his cheek.
"How'd you sleep?" I asked as he shrugged. "I always sleep well when I'm next to you." He said causing me to roll my eyes and laugh.
"So mushy." I said then turned towards my suitcase so I could pick out my outfit.
"What about you? How'd you sleep?" He asked as I shrugged. "I had a little nightmare." I said and pulled out a black sweater and pair of leggings since it was cold.
"Wanna talk about it?" He asked as I shook my head. "Not really." I said then stood up straight. "I'm gonna go get ready." I said quietly then went to go into the bathroom.
I spent the next half hour or so getting ready, which meant it was time to leave.
"Where are we going?" I asked as Colby and I made our way downstairs. "I have no idea. Katrina picked it, so I'm sure it's good." He said and took my hand.
"I hope they don't ask too many questions about us." I said as he chuckled.
"They will. You can be honest with them though. They may give you a hard time but they'll be happy for you." He said as we walked to the car.
"Yeah, they don't like you all that much." I said with a sigh. "They don't typically like it when their friend gets their heart crushed." He said as I sighed.
"I get that. I'm very much so not heartbroken now though." I said as we got in the car. "Then they might forgive me." He said then started the car.
We drove for twenty minutes before we pulled up to the lunch spot.
It was a cute little place that was in Beverly Hills, which meant it had to have been pretty fancy.
"Julia!!" Kat squealed happily as we walked up to the restaurant. "Hey." I said and gave her a hug. "I'm so excited you came!" She said and hugged me tightly.
"I'm glad we're able to do this. It's been tough having no friends." I said with a sigh as we made our way inside.
"You'll always have us. No matter how far away we live." She said as we walked to the table that the girls were already at.
"I'll be right over there." Colby said quietly and pointed to the table Sam was at while he kissed my cheek. "Okay." I said then went to sit at the table with the girls.
"Hey, Jules!" Stas said with a warm smile. "Hey." I said and sat down between Tara and Devyn. "Enough small talk. Tell us why you're here with sir dicks a lot."Â Tara said causing me to laugh.
"Someone is out to get me for whatever reason so I have to stick with Colby." I said as Devyn raised her brows.
"So you aren't dating?" She asked as I giggled. "We may or may not be." I said and looked at the menu in front of me.
"That's so boring! We want to know everything." Stas said as I grinned. "I just don't know how to could forgive him for what he did." Stas said as I nodded.
"I felt the same way for a while. Sometimes you just can't deny that you love someone." I said and looked over at Colby.
He was talking to Sam while occasionally glancing up at me.
"So you are dating." Kat said as I smiled and nodded.
"Tell us everything!!" Devyn said and clapped her hands. "I don't know where to start." I said and folded my hands in my lap.
"From the beginning, duh." Tara said as I nodded.
I then proceeded to tell them how Colby and I reconnected. The girls were so supportive in my decision to forgive him after everything that happened.
We spent the rest of lunch just catching up with each other.
I was so grateful that I was able to have this one normal moment, since I haven't had anything like that in what felt like forever.
Everything felt so carefree, and like we were in a ton of danger by being out in public.
I wished that every day could be like this.
