When she called him just about an hour before, he said that he would be home soon, but now she just couldnât reach him. Ophelia started getting worried.
Ophelia called a few more, but still, no one answered the call.
When it was half past seven, the phone finally got through and a woman picked up.
âWho are you?â Ophelia frowned.
âHello? Who are you to this phoneâs owner? He just got a little car accident and was still having bandages in the operation room. His phone dead before and asked me to find a place and charge for him, so I would answer this call.â The woman explained.
Ophelia was completely thunderstruck when she heard that Zachariah was in a car accident and immediately asked, âIs he okay? Which hospital are you at? Iâll head there now.â
After the woman told Ophelia the address, she hurriedly grabbed her purse and went out.
While she was driving, her hands were freezing cold.
Opheliaâs shivered, âZachariah, donât you have anything wrong. I will listen to you about anything as long as you are fine.â
Though it had passed the rush hour, there were still a lot of traffic on the road. Ophelia met several red lights on the way to the hospital and was getting increasingly anxious.
It took Ophelia an hour to get to the hospital. She then immediately called the woman who was carrying Zachariahâs phone and found that she was actually the head nurse in the hospital.
âAre you Mrs. Chambers?â The nurse asked.
Ophelia nodded.
âMr. Chambers isnât seriously injured, so donât be too worry about him.â The nurse soothed.
âWhere is he now?â
âHe is still getting bandages. He will be out in a minute.â
Ophelia then was able to took a sigh of relief.
âYou donât look too good. Why donât you sit on the chair and take some breaths?â
Ophelia nodded.
âThank you, I will be fine here. You must be busy.â Ophelia took Zachariahâs phone and said.
âOkay then, Iâm gonna go. Mr. Chambers will be out when he is done.â
After the nurse left, Ophelia leaned against the wall like a deflated balloon. Since she was not as intense as before, she sensed pain in her belly.
After taking a few breaths, the pain debated.
Stroking her belly, Ophelia said motherly, âBaby, Iâm sorry. I was too nervous before. Iâm spry for the pain.â
After waiting outside for about ten minutes, Zachariah got out from the bandage room and his right left was wrapped like a rice dumpling.
Ophelia immediately stood up and asked nervously, âHoney, are you okay?â
Seeing the sincere care in her eyes, Zachariah got moved and replied, âIâm okay. Donât be nervous. Itâs just that my right hand was a bit hurt.â
Looking at his bandaged hand, Ophelia got sad, âHow come that you got yourself into a car accident?â
Zachariah hugged her waist and said, âIâll tell you after we get home.â
Ophelia followed his steps and asked in bewilderment, âIsnât it a car accident? Who are the victim and perpetrator here?â
Zachariah then explained simply.
It turned out that Zachariah was hurry to get home to have dinner with Ophelia, so when he saw a mastiff dog suddenly charging out of the road, he immediately turned the steering wheel out of edginess and hit the curb.
Ophelia felt sorry for Zachariah but at the same time found the accident hilarious.
âPresident Zachariah, how come that you can even get yourself into such a rare accident?â Ophelia teased. âYou right hand is injured now and I would like to see how would you able to work tomorrow.â
âItâs just a minor injury. Itâs just that the doctors know me and worried that I might get some after effects, so they would bandage it. Donât you worry about it. I still can make you enjoy tonight.â

Ophelia rolled her eyes at him and patted his injured right hand on purpose. Zachariahâs face immediately wrangled and gnashed his teeth, âAre you trying to murder your husband?â
Ophelia quipped, âPresident Zachariah, didnât you say that you are quite energetic? I just want to see whether you are lying or not.â
Zachariah glanced at him, âArenât you worried about me that Iâm injured?â
Ophelia dropped her eyes and stifled her voice, âI would drive here as fast as I could when I heard that you had a car accident if Iâm not worried.â
Zachariah got moved and immediately hugged her into his chest, âIâm sorry.â
Opheliaâs eyes instantly reddened and started venting all the pent-up feelings that she was holding before.
âPresident Zachariah, I know that you are capable of anything, but could you be a little bit safer? Iâm begging you. I donât care whether we would get divorced or not later. At the very least, Iâm still your wife now and I donât want to be a widow at such a young age, okay?â
Zachariah felt like laughing.
âIâm still alive, okay? Donât curse me.â
