âMiss King, I donât think you love to insinuate.â
âI love Tassach. So I just want a clear answer from you.â
âMiss King, I believe you miss the point. My answer doesnât really matter. The point is that you should figure out Tassachâs attitude about you. If he doesnât have feelings for you, itâs still impossible for both of you to engage in a relationship even if I stay away from him.â
Hearing that, Gracie looked more awkward.
âHe will fall in love with me!â Gracie refuted firmly. Though it sounded like a refutation against Ophelia, it also sounded like a notice for herself.
Ophelia smiled, âWell, wish you a nice wedding with him. And donât forget to invite me to attend.â
Gracie looked horribly cold. Then she said, âOphelia, itâs none of your business to talk about my wedding with him.â
Ophelia shrugged and stood up, âWell, I gotta go now.â
Gracie immediately softened her diction, âOphelia, just go to visit Tassach.â
Ophelia frowned. She looked at her and said seriously, âMiss King, tell me. Whatâs going on with Tassach?â
She knew about Gracie well, who had been proud of herself because of her prestigious family background, charming look and outstanding education.
Gracie had always been that kind of person who would sniff at those who she hated. This time, she came in person and asserted that Ophelia should stay away from Tassach. However, she actually tried to persuade Ophelia to see Tassach in the hospital at the same time. Such a paradox seemed to notice her that Tassach must be suffering from something worseâsomething much worse than gastric perforation.
Seeing that Gracieâs eyes were about to be filled with tears, Ophelia was rendered panic. She asked anxiously, âMiss King, tell me! Whatâs going on with him?â
âAfter being diagnosed with gastric perforation, Tassach was sent to the hospital. But he suddenly suffered from high fever that night. He has been in coma for a few days. The doctor said that he should be fine but he was still unconscious. He has been muttering about your name and asking for your stay. If it werenât because of that, I would have never come to you in person. I hate you and all I want is to make you disappear from his life forever.
But I love him. I canât just stand by while he would be likely to be in PVS.â
Ophelia was totally stunned when hearing that. She had never expected that Tassach would be likely to be unconscious forever.
âWhich hospital?â Not until a few minutes later did Ophelia collect herself. She asked anxiously.
Gracie rubbed against her eyes and put on the glasses to cover her awkward-looking face. She seemed to be proud again, âThe Downtown People's Hospital.â
Ophelia was stunned again as she knew that both Cora and Tassach were in this hospital. What was worse, Zachariah was now staying with his daughter in the same hospital. If Zachariah happened to encounter her there, who appeared to meet a guy involved in a rumor with her, it would bring her a great trouble again.
It had been all kinds of obstacles within her marriage with Zachariah. Ophelia had been planning to make up for it but she always got bothered by all kinds of troubles, which only distanced her from Zachariah.
Ophelia was rendered so confused, not knowing what to do.
âOphelia, just tell me! Will you go to see him or not? The doctor has the final notice. If he failed to regain his consciousness within three days, he would be likely to be in coma for his whole life. If you still value him as your friend, just come with me!â Gracie commanded.
Panic, Ophelia suddenly stood up, âReally?â
âOphelia, believe it or not! Thatâs the situation!â
Hearing that, Ophelia was a bit mad at her for her domineering tone.
Though Ophelia had decided to visit Tassach, Gracieâs arrogance still annoyed her.
Now she believed that Gracie was still as annoying as she had always been.
âMiss King, perhaps I will agree if you learn to ask me for help in a proper manner.â Ophelia also pretended to be domineering while speaking.
Gracie suddenly paused out of surprise. She couldnât believe what she just heard, âWhat?â
Ophelia pointed at the ground, âMiss King, if you could kneel down in front of me, I would follow you to the hospital right away. Otherwise, I am afraid that I have to leave now.â
Gracie took off her glasses and glared at her as if she were cursing her.
Ophelia shrugged and smiled, âWhat? Miss King, you donât want to?â
After saying that, she pushed away the chair and said, âSorry, I need to get down to my business.â
As she was about to leave, she heard something hit the ground hard.

Ophelia hurried over and was about to hold her up. But Gracie still stared at her and said, âOphelia, now can you go with me?â
Noticing that those waiters were all approaching, Ophelia replied resignedly, âJust stand up. Everyone in the café is watching!â
âI wonât stand up until you say âyesâ.â
