“I can forgo anything else after the divorce but I have to go with Tommy,” Ophelia blurted out excitedly and nervously, with her heart racing.

Ophelia was so nervous that her palms were sweating.

Zachariah patted her hand and said, “Dad, I’ll deal with Tommy’s custody. Can you and Mom leave us alone?”

Mr. Chambers glared at him and said to Ophelia, “Ophelia, we don’t approve of the divorce. We won’t interfere if you insist on it but you can’t take away Tommy. Of course, we’ll give you a substantial sum of money after the divorce but you can’t visit Tommy in future.”
