When Yvette left Mattâs office, her classmates immediately surrounded her.
âYouâre fucking awesome, Yvie! Did you beat the two of them up alone? Youâre amazing!â
Everyone admired Yvette.
Yvette said nonchalantly, âI didnât beat anyone up.â
The class understood what she meant. 1e people from Yael University had no evidence, hence why they left begrudgingly. If the class talked about Yvetteâs fight and got discovered by the people from Yael University, things would escalate again.
Yvetteâs classmates hurriedly said, âYouâre right. Yvie is so weak, why would she beat anyone up?â
âExactly. Yvie is such a fragile and wellâmannered girl. She would never assault anyone! By the way, Yvie. When will you teach us some of your moves?â
Just then, a timid voice called out, âYvieâ¦â
Hearing the familiar voice, Yvette stopped in her tracks. She turned around to see Victoria running after her, frowning and gasping for air.
Victoria had a weak body. Because of that, she was more pale and frail than a regular personâ
making her look pitiful.
Yvette told her classmates to return to the classroom. Then, she glanced at Victoria.
âWhat brings you to Jubilife University?â
Victoria finally caught her breath. She smiled at Yvette and said, âI really wanted to paint again, so I begged Wilson to let me attend Jubilife University! I heard you had some conflict with the people.
from Yael University. I was worried, so I came over to have a look.â
âYou donât have to worry. Iâm fine.â
Victoria complained, âYvette, theyâre so mean! Iâll tell Wilson about this for you-â
âItâs fine,â Yvette said, promptly rejecting Victoria. Yvette could handle such small matters alone.
âOkay,â Victoria replied obediently.
Victoria looked at Yvette with sparklin yes and said, âYvette, Iâve been receiving treatment abroad the whole time, so I donât have any friends in Jubilife. Since weâre both attending the same university, can I hang out with you?â
Yvette had always been reserved around people she had just met. Still, Yvette nodded and said, âSure.â
Victoria beamed at her response. âThatâs great!â
After Yvette made her exit, Lionel watched her leave, and then he emerged from the darkness.
Lionel griped, âYouâre so nice to her, Ms. Olson. But look at how sheâs treating you. Why are you putting yourself down?â
Victoria required special attention because of her health, and Jubilife University didnât dare offend Wilson. Thus, the university allowed. Victoria to bring a bodyguard with her, which is why Lionel tagged along to campus.
Victoria disagreed with Lionelâs statement. Frowning, she said, â Lionel, Yvette is just a little cold, but sheâs still a nice person. Weâve only just met, you know. When we become more familiarized, she wonât be like that anymore!â
Lionel became even more hostile toward Yvette. He said, âMs. Olson, .
youâre too naive, She wonât see you as a friend.â
âYou!â Angered, Victoria refused to talk to Lionel. âI saw a stray cat over there just now. Iâm going to feed it, donât follow me.â
Lionelâs face instantly fell. He reluctantly said, âGot it, Ms. Olson.â
When Yvette returned to the classroom, Nancy was already waiting for her.
âAre you okay, Yvie? I heard about what happened. Theyâre really too much! We must teach them a lesson.â
âYou can step out of this, Nancy,â Yvette said gently. âIâll handle it by myself.â
Nancy knew Yvette well, so she reluctantly said, âFine, fine. You can do what you want.â
Yvette thought Nancy looked adorable even when she was angry. She rubbed Nancyâs puffedâup cheeks.
