Aliceâs fear reached a fever pitch, her voice climbing to a panicked shriek. âYvette, what did you do to meâ¦â
Before she could finish, a viceâlike grip tightened around her throat, making her choke violently.
âI told you you were too noisy,â Yvette said coldly, her eyes as frigid as a winterâs night.
Alice coughed. Her terror was palpable. Her face twisted in sheer panic as she stared at Yvette. The suffocating lack of oxygen left her desperate and flailing, but Yvetteâs hold remained unrelenting.
âYâYvette, please⦠let me goâ¦â

Yvetteâs expression was steely, her striking foxâlike eyes glittering with ruthless intent.
Just as Alice was on the brink of suffocation, a familiar voice cut through the chaos. âYvie, what are you doing?â
Victoria, her face a mask of horror, rushed forward, desperation in her eyes. âLet Alice go! Youâre killing her âGet out of the way,â Yvette snapped, her fury blinding her as she shoved Victoria aside.

Yvetteâs attention wavered as she saw Victoriaâs distress. She started to move toward her, but just then, Lionel arrived on the scene.

âHow dare you harm Ms. Olson!â Lionelâs face darkened with fury. His eyes burned with a dangerous fire as he glared at Yvette.
âIf you hurt her, youâll pay the price,â he vowed, delivering a brutal palm strike aimed directly at Yvetteâs vital points. The force behind his attack was ruthless, intended to either kill or severely cripple.
Yvetteâs expression hardened, her gaze icy. She was about to retaliate when another pair of hands moved even faster, intercepting Lionelâs strike and delivering a crushing kick to his abdomen.
âAh!â Lionel crashed to the ground like a ragdoll, his scream piercing the air as he spat out blood.
Wilsonâs eyes were as cold as ice. The thought of Lionel almost harming Yvette ignited a ferocious rage within him.
âMr. Quinnâ¦â
Even Lionel, writhing in agony, couldnât help but shiver in fear. He struggled to his knees, desperately begging for mercy, but Wilson was unmoved.
He advanced with a deliberate stride, his gaze was as unforgiving as a death sentence. âWilson, please donâtâ¦â
