I hate to say goodbye with you

Derek POV
A President's schedule can be ever changing like the weather in Sydney, you can experience cold wind in the morning, sunny afternoon next and followed by a torrential rain that left you to inevitably change your schedule.
'I need to leave by 10.' I whisper into Rachel's ear while she is drowsing in her lazy sleep.
Her croaky voice caused by her dry throat makes her words incomprehensible. 'Rachel, sweetheart, I have to leave by ten and it's 8 now.'
'What?' She lifted her head within second. While she is still laying naked, covered with nothing but her Hello Kitty duvet, I was already dressed in office wear. 'Where are you going?' She rubbed her eyes and stops when she realized I was fully covered in clothes, I can see hints of disappointment in her. I stroke her long hair that never fails to send the lusty floral scent.
'D.C.' I told her while giving her a morning kiss. It was the second one I gave since I woke up at six this morning for a run. Rachel have a beautiful house. I have this thought that came out of my mind during the run, maybe I should plan my retirement here in Seattle, with Rachel. But its still too early to discuss it with her, I intend to give her the freedom to decide for herself.
'I thought you'll be staying for another day?' She turns around and wrap her hand around my neck like she is afraid of wrinkling my shirt.
'The Director of the World Bank needs an emergency meeting, I am paid to run errand for America, girlfriend.' I rubbed her cheek.
'I'm supposed to make you breakfast.' She pretend to pout her lip to gain my sympathy.
'How about you clear your leave and come back with me?' I suggested. 'Unless you need three hours to look more perfect than right now?'
'Aw, you have a sweet mouth for morning, I can get used to that.' She stroke the arm that I had my tattoo at. 'I can't just jump into the plane and fly with you, can I?'
I put her words into thoughts. There must be a way to get her into my plane. 'I'm not flying back with Air Force One, I am taking the lower profile jet. Plus, I can give my sponsor's daughter a lift.' I negotiate with her, but halfway during that, the thought that she might want to stay with her father provokes me to stop being selfish. 'Wait a minute, I forgot that you might want to spend more time with your dad.'
She rolled her eyes. 'Now you make me feel guilty, I hate to choose, I have choice phobia. And whenever I am in trouble choosing, I go by the wisest saying, choose the most expensive.' She peered up at me, hoping I can decide for her.
'You know, its okay that you are staying here, meeting with Levy might take a few days, and I might not be able to meet you during these days.' I try to get her to stay, hoping she won't give up her time with her father to accompany me back to the capital.
'God, I hate separation and long distance.'
'It's only a few hours flight, Rachel. It's not like I'm going to the place where penguins lived.' I jokes.
'I can find penguins in Woodlands Park Zoo.' Her brilliant eyes sparkles like she just made a fool of me.
'The natural habitat, girlfriend. And I do have a plan on visiting Antartica for green project we are focusing on.' I explained to her patiently.
'How many projects are you working on your hand? You are going to age faster than the natural human cycle, Derek.' She sat up and straddle in my leg, cupping both my cheek, frowning.
'That's my responsibility.' I shrugged. 'So, I'll see you when you are clear from your leave?' I pull her closer to me to remind myself how being close with her felt, before heading back to the capital myself, I am very determined about that.
'I hate to say goodbye with you, boyfriend.' Her tone was genuinely sad.
'I know, I hate it too.' I stroke her back.
We hugged for a little longer than usual before she decides to let go of me. Rachel says it is very rude to be late, and so she stood firm of her principles and let me leave as we said our goodbyes and kisses each other.
