This is how you make me feel, Rachel

Derek POV

Music, as we all know, are an essential part of our life. It's obvious why experts decide to perform research on personality and music.

The music that we listened to in our earphone reveals too much about our naked soul. When we chase other human beings out of our room, shut the door and hit the 'play' button on our phone, it reflects you.

'Kathy's Waltz, Jazz song.' I played the song as we sat opposite of each other.

When Rachel suggest that we reveal what we hear on our Spotify, I thought that was interesting.

'I listen to those a lot of time when I work in Starbucks.' She starts tapping her fingers, following the rythm. 'But not my favourite though. My turn.' Rachel slide her phone and read the list while I stop playing my song. ' Chasing Cars.' She muttered and when the music started, she turns to me and looking skeptical.

'This song is full of emotion.' I told her. It's new to me. 'How did you learn about this song?' It was a good chance to get to know her from her music history. Checking her background is easy, but it doesn't reveal what is Rachel Woods made up of.

'Back when I was in college, I binge watched Grey's Anatomy, and when this song came out, something bad is going to happen.' She shrugged and laugh at her own silliness. I love this side of her, her laugher seems so innocent, and it reminds me of the simplicity in life.

'What did you major in?' I asked.

Her brown eyes look up at me in a sudden manner. There was a hint of uneasiness within her, I can't quite comprehend. 'I uhm... I took law.' She said without much enthusiast.

'You are a law student? How did you end up in my plane?' I question her.

'I just dropped out. It was a stupid decision.'

'I see.' I can see that she is hiding something.

'What's the song you hear during your college years?'

Rachel tries to shift the subject, I complied with her, ripples of curiousity hits me. 'College. Thank you for reminding me that I'm old.' I curl up my lips to give her a soft smile.

'You are, old, in fact, in another ten years, you'll be as old as Dolores, need I remind you that?' She laugh, 'come on, show me what's your college song, and let's see I'll judge you base on that.' She challenged me.

I nodded, but I still refuse to admit my song list in antique, I'll call it vintage. 'I can assure you, this song is a hit in the 90s.' As I hit the play button, Vengaboys' Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom starts flowing it's rhythm out from my phone.

She laugh. She laugh like Julia Robert, wide and loud. 'I knew it! Vengaboys! I used to listen to it with my walkman.' She still laugh. I love it when she laugh, everytime she did that, my world pause. How is it possible that no other woman ever made me felt that way. Not even Grace.

I raised myself from the sofa, pacing towards her. My eyes never left her. She stops laughing, I guess I just released an aura of intimidation. Placing both my hands on the back of her sofa rest, she just sit there, her neck lifted to meet me.

I took her hand by holding her wrist, she never resist. I place her hand on my chest where she can feel my heartbeat, her eyes drifted to where her hand is. 'This is how you make me feel, Rachel.'

Her eyes, beautifully crafted by the hands of God, they never left mine, as I too, never left hers. As I sink deeper into the window of her soul, one of our phone plays the song "Will you still love me tomorrow".

Perfect.

This time, Rachel initiates the move. She remove her hand from my chest slowly yet determined, with the other hand, she cupped my cheeks, drawing me closer to her...
