Rachel couldn't escape her duty, no matter how much she wanted to un-board the plane she is scheduled to today.

Her back has been feeling uncomfortable since last night up till now, noon. She is feeling unusually tired today, perhaps its the effect of her pregnancy. Rachel did try to eat regularly to maintain a balance energy level suitable for her stage right now, however, her tiredness is like a spell casted on her body.

'Rachel?' Tony Linton passed by the pantry area to get his bottle of water, and whenever he saw Rachel, he can't resist the urge of calling her name, because manners matters, plus, that is what makes his day better every time he met her. He would be lying, if he say that he has no more feelings attached to Rachel.

'Hey.' She said softly, her mood was extremely affected by the pain prickling her in her lower spine.

'You look pale, something's wrong?' Tony asked with deep concern, he walks closer to her.

Rachel place her hand on the table to support herself. Pregnancy is the answer, but she couldn't leaked out this secret. 'I'll be fine, I'm just a little tired, that's all.'

'You shouldn't even be working. Have you seen the doctor?' Tony stated, he held his urged to touch Rachel. He wanted to hold her so badly, looking at how disturbingly pale she look right now.

'Corbin has urgent matters, I have to replace him.' She muttered, breathing a lungful of air to freshen her mind. She managed to smile at him to assure Tony that she is fine. She knew nothing is wrong, its just pregnancy hormones.

'Well, if you need help, don't hesitate. I can watch over you from the cameras.' He tried to make a joke to lighten her mood.

She nodded and force a smile.

Tony left her afterwards, however, there were millions of heaviness weight in him. He took a last glance at her before heading out of the pantry, he needs to clear his head in order to focus on his job later, he can't afford a single error when he flies.

Rachel continues to get her job done as quickly as possible since Derek and his team would be assembling inside the aircraft soon.

As soon as the plane took off, the President has been staying inside his meeting room with Gavinski and the rest of his campaign team. Rachel wasn't assigned to serve Derek today. The chance of meeting him would be thin as a piece of paper. She has this feeling that their timing is always wrong since her pregnancy. As if she has to be on her own to decide the fate of the life created by them. That is so unfair.

Her stomach has been experiencing a slight pain and it was getting even more frequent since late morning. She tries to bear with it.

Rachel tries to get a glance of Derek whenever she move past the meeting room, but the door was shut, and she has no proper excuse to visit the room.

Hours after hours, the pain in her lower abdomen did not fade, instead, it was getting even more frequent, like a frequency stirring pain neurons inside her tummy.

Flustered with cold sweats, she decides to inform Dolores that she needs a time off. Yet, her body fails her. The pain has erupted into a sharp tingling sensation.

'Arghh.' She clenches, holding her hand to her stomach, hoping to ease the pain. She was getting weaker, her knees were no longer able to withstand the feebleness she is experiencing.

She leaned on the wall, slowly sliding down till her body is on the floor.

'Ma'am! Are you alright? We need help! Somebody!' A man shouted as he discovered Rachel's condition.

She couldn't pay any attention to the man assisting her, clearly, it wasn't her colleague, they would be addressing her name instead of calling her ma'am.

Fear rapture her vehemently. All she could think was something bad is happening to her, to the baby, she knew it. Mother instinct can be as accurate as a skilled archers. She is deaf from the commotion that starts from her. Rachel felt her blood draining from her vitals, she couldn't even feel a thing, until she heard the word "blood".

She looks up and Tony Linton was right there frowning at the blood oozing down from beneath her skirt. He was flustered, anybody else would reacted the same way as well.

Numbness overtook her. She doesn't know what is happening in her body. She is scared. Everything is moving in slow motion.

Halfway through the meeting, Derek and his team were distracted by the noise outside. They look at each other, sensing something were wrong, Derek did mot hesitate to reach the door.

Dolores, Captain Linton, and other cabin crews were surrounding themselves among a woman sitting on the floor. Dr Helton, a medical practitioner were assisting as well.

'Bring her to the medical room, now!' Dr Helton ordered.

Tony lowered himself to carry the woman up. That's where Derek could get a clear view of the victim on the floor.

Rachel.

Rachel?

What is happening to Rachel!

His heart took a sharp blow. 'What's going on?' He questioned the crowd. Tony Linton never waste a second, once he lifted her up, he made no hesitation to run to the medical room as instructed by Dr. Helton.

Derek immediately stopped Dolores from moving. 'What happened to Rachel?' He asked with a deep frown.

'I'm not very sure as well, Sir,' Even when Dolores is talking to Derek, her eyes is watching at Tony's direction, 'she never told us that she is pregnant.'

Derek's eyes lifted broadly.

'Pregnant?' He took a quick glance at the medical room. There were millions of questions he needs to ask Rachel right this second. How did he not know about this? Why would she keep something so important from him? How long has she been pregnant? He clenched his fist to sustain the emotional rage he is harboring inside.

'Can I have a word with you in your office?' Gavinski whispered to his ear, placing his hand on Derek's shoulder to encourage him to move.

Derek followed, but his mind were all about Rachel. He wants to be inside the room with her, Tony Linton isn't suppose to there right now, it should be Derek himself.

Once they stepped inside Derek's office, Gavinski shut the door, making sure no one is outside the room, for the wall have ears.

'Do you have any idea what is going on!' Gavinski was mad, even when he is fury, he manage to set his tone to a lower volume, but it was obvious that he isn't very delighted about this. 'Derek!?'

'Shut the fuck up, Thomas, I know nothing about this!' Derek scrunched his hair, breathing hard to control the nauseousness that is building in his stomach. He shut his eyes tightly, the stress accumulated from his campaign plus Rachel is making his sick.

'See what I mean now? I told you not to create any mess at this point of time, have you listen to me? If this is going to spread out, you, Grace and all of us will be dragged down by you!' Gavinski retorted, he remove his button at his collar, strangling to remove the tie that is irritating him, sat down at the chair opposite Derek, he can feel his blood pressure shooting up, next in line to the operating room would probably be himself.

'Look, I have no idea about this. The person lying inside that room now is Rachel! How am I suppose to feel calm, Thomas? I wanted to barge inside that room so badly, yet, I can't! Give me a break!' Derek growled. He is experiencing a state of mental turmoil. Rachel matters so much to him and so does his reputation.

'You better not, Derek. We work hard for this. We. Work. Hard.' Thomas stood up so their eyes meets each other's, with a stern voice, he tried to convince Derek. 'This is our last chance, YOUR last chance! I won't allow you to destroy yourself , Rachel wouldn't wants you to destroy yourself either. We have sacrifices! We sacrificed for this long, don't throw all of this away. Think about the White House, Derek.'

Stiffed, numbed and stabbed  with thousand of dilemma across his chest, Derek sat down to his swivel chair. His head is hurting, his breathing is heavy. Nothing except Rachel is running inside his head, unable to know Rachel's condition is killing him.
