âSeriously?â Anna froze. Then, she burst out laughing.
The girl looked only twelve years old, and Anna didnât expect that Wayne actually had to call her âauntieâ.
I can hardly imagine what Wayne looks like when he calls a twelveâyearâold girl âauntâ, Anna thought She peeked at Wayne and noticed that he didnât look happy. So, she forced herself not to laugh and tried to think of something to comfort him, âHenry, I think she should be his aunt in name only. I donât think Wayne has ever called herâ auntâ, has he?â
Anna didnât expect the butler to shake his head and deny it outright.
He said, âNo, he still has to call her âauntâ. Although Natalie is an adopted daughter, she is still a family member.â
Wayne glanced coldly at the butler and said, âHenry, youâve been talking a lot lately. I think maybe itâs time for you to retire and go home.â
Anna lowered her head and held back her laughter. With an embarrassing smile, Henry immediately changed the subject, âThere is a threshold, so please watch your steps.â

Peter Wright looked energetic even though he was quite old âMr. Wright, hello.â Anna greeted him respectfully.

Once she heard that, Anná blushed a little. She hesitated for a while before saying. âGrandpa.â
Peter was satisfied with this and then looked at Tammy and Matthew with a smile. âCome on, kids, please sit with your great grandfather,â Anna said to the children.
Tammy totally made this place her home. She touched Peterâs hand, kissed him on the cheek, and said affectionately, âGreatâ

âOK, Iâll have the cook make it for you, and you can have it later.â
Looking at how familiar the two of them seemed to be with each other, Anna asked, somewhat suspiciously, âAre you two familiar with each other?â
Peter froze, then didnât say anything.
Henry explained to him, âMr. Wright has met Tammy once before at the hospital, and he likes her a lot. When he heard that Tammy and Matthew often hang out, he asked for her cell phone number. Sometimes, he would ask Tammy about how Matthew was doing at school.â
Anna didnât suspect anything more and said, âI see. I can understand that you get worried for Matthew, as this was the first time he goes to school outside alone.â
Wayne, however, sensed that something was off. He stared at Peter with a complicated look
