When Leon heard Annaâs question, he froze.
âOh... Youâre right,â he said after blinking.
Anna could hear his teeth chatter as he trembled.
Feeling a headache again, Anna said, âToday has been bitterly cold. Letâs skip dinner tonight, and Iâll take you to your hotel.
Where are you staying?â
Leon followed Anna to the car without saying anything.
The hotel where Leon was staying wasnât far away.
âA few minutes later, Anna dropped him off in front of the hotel, saying, âYou should keep my coat. Or the wind will make you catch a cold.â
Since her company asked Leon to be the spokesperson for her company, Anna felt that she should take care of Leon when necessary.
She was worried heâd catch a cold because of the shooting. What worried her more was that she was afraid that some of his frantic fans would launch a âcyber attackâ on her company for it.
Wrapping in Annaâs coat, Leon said happily, âGreat! Thanks! Iâll give it back to you after | wash it.â
âAll right, you can return it to me the next time you visit this city.â Anna smiled and waved him off.
She sighed with relief as she shut the car door and asked the driver, âPlease take me home.â
âAnna was aware that many famous celebrities were picky. So, meeting all of their demands was thus a difficult task.
As the car drove into the street where she lived, Anna noticed a man dressed in a black coat standing in front of the building. She immediately became overjoyed.
âAs soon as the car stopped, she ran toward Wayne and hugged him. She raised her head and asked, âWayne, how did you know Iâll come back now?â
Wayne frowned when he noticed she wasnât even wearing a coat.
âOh, | called Mona, and she told me about it,â he said gently as he wrapped her in his coat.
âHuh? You have spies watching me around? What else did Mona tell you?â
Wayne looked displeased and replied, âShe said you were supposed to return home half an hour ago. However, Iâve been here waiting for you for over forty minutes. Mona appears to be a less-than-professional spy.â
Anna burst out laughing and exclaimed, âMona isnât always with me. Sheâs busy tonight because sheâs taking the staff out to dinner. Donât bother her with my schedule, honey. You are welcome to ask me, and Iâll keep you updated on everything.â
Wayne wrapped his arm around her and led her toward the building when she continued to shiver and freeze.
âOh, | get it. Youâre too busy,â he said.
Anna nodded and said, âBut you used to be much busier than | am now. Iâm busy now, but Iâm home every day. Well, you used to travel for months before.â
Wayne pressed the elevator button after entering the building. While they were waiting for the elevator, Wayne removed his coat and draped it over her, asking, âWhereâs your coat?â
Anna sighed and explained, âGeez! Iâm still mad about that!â âwhy?â
âDo you know about the pretty boys and the cool boys?â Anna asked, blinking.
Wayne blinked in confusion, clearly unsure about what she was talking about.
âOh, itâs a trendy look right now. Girls are currently attracted to both types of boys who are younger than them. The cool boys are the more dominant boys, while the pretty boys are the gentler boys.â
Wayne didnât appear to be interested in this at all.
âSo, Anna, what does this have to do with you not wearing a coat?â he continued.
âMy coat was taken by a pretty boy.â
Anna shrugged her shoulders and tucked her neck inside the coat. Because Wayneâs coat was wide and had pads on the shoulders, Anna looked very funny in it, like a child wearing an adultâs clothes.
She looked carefully at Wayneâs expression. Out of her expectations, Wayne wasnât as envious as she thought he would be.
âWhat exactly are you talking about?â he asked after a brief silence.
Anna felt helpless and lost interest in joking with him. She said, âDo you understand what Iâm talking about? The boy Iâm talking about is named Leon, the new face of our company. You know, my employees adore him very much! Allin all, he took my coat.â
Hearing that, Wayne froze.
At that point, the elevator had just arrived on the first floor.
Anna walked into it immediately.
Wayne followed her into the elevator, frowned, and asked, âHuh? Is the Leon you mentioned a guy?â
As she looked at his expression, Anna teased him, âYes, it is obviously a guyâs name. In fact, | like Leon very much.â
Wayne became sullen and asked, âHuh? What did you say?â
âOh! | said that | like Leon! Iâm not particularly interested in other celebrities, but Iâm a huge fan of Leon.â
When Anna looked into the elevator mirror, she noticed that Wayne was visibly upset.
âBut you never told me that you liked him before,â he pointed out.
âThatâs because | like him deep down in my heart. Thatâs all that matters,â Anna restrained herself from laughing aloud.
She thought. Gee... Wayne, you should take a good look at yourself right now. How could you look so serious yet funny at the same time? Iâm just joking with you! How is it possible that like a not-so-smart guy like Leon?
At that precise moment, the elevator arrived at her floor.
Wayne grabbed her wrist and pulled her back just as the doors were about to open. Anna let out a surprised gasp.
As she came back to her senses, Wayne had already pressed her against the wall of the elevator.
Looking down at her, Wayne asked seriously, âSo, you just met Leon, did you?â
Anna struggled for a moment but was unable to break free. She snorted and asked, âWhat are you doing, Wayne? Hold on... Are you jealous of Leon?â
Wayne became more somber and asked, âWhy are you still laughing?
Do you think Iâm joking with you? Answer my question!â
Anna stopped struggling and simply leaned against the elevator wall, looking at him teasingly.
Then she said, âYes, | met Leon tonight. He invited me to dinner downtown near the square. | took my coat off and gave it to him because he wasnât wearing one.â
Wayneâs anger flared like fire when he realized that Anna was still wearing his coat. He tightened his grip on Annaâs wrist and seemed about to yell at her.
âYouâre hurting me,â Anna said with a frown.
She immediately felt cold after saying that. Then she realized Wayne had taken away the coat. And he didnât want her to keep wearing it.
Anna shivered from the cold and reached for his arm, asking, âWhat are you doing? Iâm cold!â
âDidnât you give Leon your coat? You are welcome to wear his.â
Of course, Wayne knew Anna wouldnât cheat on him with another man. However, the fact that she gave her coat to the young model irritated Wayne. And yes, he was jealous because of it.
Anna wanted to burst out laughing when she saw Wayneâs unhappy and irritated expression. She would have liked to tease him a little longer if it hadnât been so cold, just to see when heâd get mad at her.
Not wanting to tease him any further, Anna winked and explained, âThe Leon Iâm talking about is Leonardo Dicaprio, one of my favorite movies, not this model. Wayne, youâre overthinking it.â
Wayne froze and then turned to face Anna. He finally realized he was being fooled by her when he noticed the teasing expression on her face.
After that, he quickly grabbed her arm and pinned her against the wall again âIâm sorry, | shouldnât have done that. Please donât tickle me!â Anna begged.
Wayne knew which part of Annaâs body he was supposed to tickle. Annaâs face flushed with laughter as she begged him to stop.
Wayne froze as he watched Anna blush and gasp. Then he began to pant as well.
