340 Ryan Was Taken Away As soon as William finished speaking, Ryan lifted a chair and threw it at William, shouting, âFuck you! You wish!â
He moved so quickly that Jennie didnât even have the time to react. The chair hit William and fell to the floor with a loud clang, waking almost all the guests. In disbelief, everyone opened their eyes. Someone yelled as they opened the door, âWhat the hell is going on? Itâs late at night!â
Then a bunch of bulky men smashed the glass door with a steel pipe. Terrified, the receptionist ducked under the counter, and the guests who had gone out to see what was going on ran screaming back to their rooms. After that, the bulky men beat the hell out of Ryan and captured him.
Seeing that, Jennie yanked on Williamâs shirt and yelled hysterically, âWhat the hell are you doing?! Let go of Ryan!â
William covered his bleeding head wound with a towel in his left hand. He shook Jennie off harshly before saying, âJennie, | was planning to have a nice conversation with you, but I donât think itâs necessary right now. How about letting your son stay with me for a few days? Iâd like you to send me the money in a week. But if you donât give me the money, | might hurt him.â
Jennie clenched her teeth and yelled, âYouâre such a jerk!â
William was used to hearing her say that. He sneered, then said, âYes, Ihave always been a jerk.â He then led Ryan away with the other men. They smashed everything before leaving, completely destroying the hotel. 340 Ryan Was Taken Away:
Because there was a traffic jam on the road in the morning, Anna arrived at Lemon around noon. The company had only recently opened, so there wasnât much financial work. Sheâd come to give everyone more time off.
Anna entered the office and declared, âYou guys have been doing really well lately. So Iâll give you all some more time off.â
Hearing that, everyone cheered with joy. Someone asked, âReally? How long is it?â
Anna smiled and said, âAbout two weeks. You havenât had enough rest for the New Year, have you? | think you are all drained.
So, Iâm going to give you all some more time off to rest. When you come back, | hope youâll put all of your energy to work.â
âOf course, weâll do our best,â one of the employees said. Following that, everyone thanked Anna, making the office full of joy.
âThe break begins next week,â Anna said, âDonât forget to complete the tasks at hand.â Andrew said, and he did not appear to be happy.
Everyone immediately shut up at his words, returned to their desks, and started working.
On the way back to the office, Anna said to Andrew, âAndrew, | think youâre more of a boss of this company than | am. How about I sell this company to you?â
âNo, Iâm not interested in being the boss. | donât want to do anything else but design. Even if you give me the company for free, |
wonât take it,â Andrew replied Anna laughed and patted him on the shoulder, saying, âNo. | was just joking! | wonât give you the company for free.â 340 Ryan Was Taken Away âThen why did you give the Gabriel Group to the Carousel Group?â Andrew asked.
âWhat? You know about this?â Anna asked, frozen.
âActually, almost everyone in town knows that his group is buying the Gabriel Groupâ
With her brows raised, Anna asked, âDo you think itâs a mistake?â
Andrew shook his head and said, âI donât have a problem with that But | think if you want to make Lemon better, | believe you should buy the Gabriel Group and become the biggest shareholder. That would save Wayne the effort of merging.ââ
Anna sat at her desk and smiled, replying, âNo, | donât believe that would be good for me. There are a lot of things that donât make sense within the Gabriel Group. Iâd worked there before and had Wayne help me, but I was still exhausted. So, | think itâs important to take everything slowly. | canât take on such a large task all of a sudden.â
Andrew said nothing more after realizing she had made her decision. He handed Anna the papers and said, âSo, whatever. Sign here, and then you can relax and plan your wedding.â
Somewhat nervously, Anna said, âI donât need to do anything for the wedding, Iâve been considering visiting Laxis Town recently.
Could you please keep this from Wayne for me?â
Andrew had never gotten along with Wayne, so he agreed quickly, saying, âDonât worry about it.â
Since Jennie and Ryan had left the hospital, Anna hadnât spoken to Ryan. She had called him several times, but he had never returned her calls. Anna visited his school and was relieved to know that he had finished his final exams. However, she was still worried about him.
She had a feeling that Jennie must have been hiding something from 340 Ryan Was Taken Away her. And Ryan certainly had every reason to prove that James was his father.
Then Anna suddenly recalled the words Ryan had said to Wayne at the hospital door, âYouâre going to regret this one day.â She was terrified every time she thought about it because she thought it was more of a reminder than a warning to Wayne.
In the evening, Anna had just arrived home when she was taken aback by what she saw. She noticed Wayne standing on a folding ladder with several small pink wind chimes taped to the ceiling of his bedroom door.
Anna approached him, tilted her head to look at him, and said, âWayne, you only need to add a few decorations. You donât have to do that.â
By that point, Wayne had finished decorating. He came down the ladder and clapped his hands, âKarl has shown me so many videos of other peopleâs weddings, and | see all of these lovely decorations in the homes of those brides. There were wind chimes, candles, balloons, and other decorations. Iâll go to the supermarket after that and get us some pretty balloons, dear.â
Anna immediately smiled and wrapped her arms around Wayneâs waist. She followed him from the bedroom door to the kitchen, saying, âIâm so lucky to have you! Youâre such a wonderful groom-to-be!â
Wayne washed his hands as he said, âIâm only doing this because standing on a ladder is dangerous. Can you make other decorations by yourself? â
Anna blinked and said, âSorry, canât. | havenât had the time for it recently.â
âWhy? Have you been busy at work lately?â 340 Ryan Was Taken Away Anna lowered her head and said, âYeah, Iâm really busy because | have to do the liquidation thing. Iâve been working overtime recently, so | may not be able to see you during the day.â
âThen Iâll wait for you at home in the evening.â
âNo, you donât have to. Auntie Selina told me that we could not stay together until we get married. Otherwise, weâll have bad luck.
So, youâd better go back to your house tonight.â
âWe just canât see each other the night before the wedding,â Wayne grumbled Anna took his hand and said, âNo, | still donât feel good about it. | donât want to be apart from you, but itâs the tradition, so we should just follow it.â
But still, she hadnât convinced Wayne. Finally, Anna pursed her lips and then played her trump card by gently twisting her waist, shaking his hand and saying, âWayne, my darling. Please...â
