Isabella and Tammy returned from Selinaâs house in the evening. After entering the house, Isabella walked around and said firmly, âAnna brought someone here. And, that person was a man.â
Tammy was puzzled, âWhat? A man?â
Isabella explained, âSee, there are two unwashed coffee cups on the table. There are two clean plates on the kitchen shelf, so maybe they had dinner here. â
âThat only proves there was a visitor. And the visitor wasnât necessarily a man.â
Isabella proudly pulled a pair of disposable slippers from the trash can in the living room and said, âLook! These are clearly not slippers for Women! These are far too large.â
Tammy froze and then walked out of the bedroom. She didnât believe it, so she asked, âWould my mother bring a man home?
That cannot be true!â
Isabella took a can of Coke from the fridge and said, âWhy not? Sheâs not even 30, itâs perfectly normal for her to be in a relationship. She canât stop falling in love for the rest of her life just to look after us. We should encourage her to do so.â
Tammyâs brows furrowed, and she pouted, âIâm not going to back her up! | have a dad! Heâs a perfect man, and my mom still loves him.â
âYouâre still a kid; you shouldnât be thinking about these things,â Isabella coughed awkwardly and said. 409 The $100,000 Bag Tammy was sound asleep when Anna returned from her night shift in the evening, Isabella was still in American time, so she still had the energy to play video games. She had just won a game and came out during the intermission to get a drink of water.
As she left her room, she saw Anna coming in. She greeted her, âAnna, welcome home!â
Anna was putting on her slippers. Surprised, she asked, âWhy are you still awake? Itâs late, isnât it?â
Isabella noticed the slippers on the floor and remembered the male slippers she had discovered earlier in the evening. She poured two glasses of water and handed one to Anna, then asked, âDid you invite anyone to the house these days?â
Anna asked, âWhat? Iâve been extremely busy lately and | worked on every night shift. Iâm going to sleep in until noon tomorrow, so wonât be able to cook you breakfast.â
Isabella nodded, her thoughts still on the slippers. She could tell Anna had avoided the question, which meant something had happened. She had the impression that Anna was really in love.
âWhere is Tammy?â Anna asked as she looked around.
âSheâs asleep. Iâm taking her to the mall tomorrow. Will you come with us?â
Anna waved her hand and said, âNo, Iâm sorry. I have to work tomorrow afternoon, and I wonât get up before noon. Good night, Iâm going to bed.â
âOK, Iâll go to bed after I drink my water,â Isabella said, nodding.
Anna went into her bedroom, and the house fell silent again.
Isabella emptied the water from her glass into the sink before heading 409 The $100,000 Bag to the refrigerator for a beer. She paused for a moment before squatting next to the fridge and opening the can. A cold mist rose from the canâs mouth, and some beer spilled.
Isabella sipped the cold beer, feeling it flow down her gullet and into her stomach. She read the chat on her computer when she got home. She paused for a long time before responding, âOK.â
The person she was chatting with then sent many texts and emojis and appeared very excited. Isabella couldnât see what she had just said. She scrolled back up the chat and read their entire conversation.
That guy said, âIsabella, | like you, Iâve had a crush on you since you first walked into the classroom. If you say yes, Iâll fly to England to meet you.â
âWhat happens if I donât say yes?â
âThen Iâll think of something else. Iâve already bought my ticket and I canât return it.â
âOKâ
This conversation was very cute, as if the youth was going to spill out from between the lines. Isabella felt like she was finally living like a teenager when she saw the boyâs avatar. She knew that was the way her life would be.
The next morning, while Anna was still sleeping, two girls entered her room and said, âBye, Anna.â
âBye, baby,â Anna said, dazedly nodding.
After kissing Anna on the cheek, the two girls left the house to go shopping. They walked around the clothing and cosmetics counters at the mall.
âIâll pay for it, and you pick it out, just like before,â Isabella said 409 The $100,000 Bag Tammy said with a nod, âNo problem! | know what Mom likes best, and she likes every gift | give her.â
They then went to a luxury store and began looking at handbags.
âThis large bag has a lot of space. Itâs very practical, and itâs really pretty. What do you think?â Tammy asked.
âHi, can you get this bag for me?â Tammy said to the salesperson, pointing to a shelf that was taller than her. âYes, it does look quite nice,â Isabella said after trying on the bag.
Tammy went to the bathroom when it was time to check out because she had a stomach ache. Isabella took her credit card and paid the bill. The salespeople didnât expect Isabella to be so wealthy, so she was surprised. Then she heard someone say, âWhat a lovely bag! Please take one for me.â
Isabella and the sale both turned around and saw a woman dressed in a green Chanel suit. She wore light makeup, which made her look elegant.
âIâm sorry, Miss Turner. This is the last one. Itâs a new limited edition model that we just got in,â said the salesperson, who clearly knew Rachel.
Rachel frowned and asked unhappily, âWhy didnât you tell me about the new arrivals? | havenât seen a pretty bag like this since last year!â
âSorry. I havenât had a chance to tell you about this yet because it arrived today.â
sabella was not interested in listening to their chat. Rachel called out to her when she was about to leave with the bag. She caught up with Isabella and said, âLittle girl, I really like this bag. Could you please sell it tome?â 409 The $100,000 Bag Isabella was irritated. She said unhappily, âSorry, but itâs a birthday present | bought for my family. Iâm not interested in selling it.â
Rachel chuckled and said, âSo, how much are you asking for it? | can give you whatever you want.â
Isabella pondered it and asked, âIs $100,000 OK?
