Chapter 105 Leonâs Call

Still not fully satisfied, Oliver grabbed Robin by the collar, raising his fist and getting ready to punch him
Robin was already coughing up blood from the earlier kick. He felt as if his internal organs had suffered a severe injury. However, Oliver was still not done. Robin spat out another mouthful of blood in rage.
âAre you done yet? Havenât you had enough of your madness tonight? Do you want the industry to blacklist you in order to feel satisfied?
Having been his manager and friend for years, Oliver couldnât bring himself to blast that punch.
His eyes were bloodshot as he smashed his fist into the ground with a loud bang. Oliver declared, âTm going to find him!â
With that, he stood up and opened the door, ready to rush out,
Robin hurriedly grabbed him. He endured the pain in his chest, knitted his brows, and asked in an anxious tone. âWhatâs going on? Explain it to me!â
Oliver shoved him away, looking as terrifying as a roaring beast. He bellowed, âGet out of my way!â
Robin finally realised something was very wrong. Oliver was usually carefree, never this outâofâcontrol, no matter the provocation.
He started to panic, and he used all his strength to hold Oliver back. Robin demanded, âTell me what happened!â
âHe took away my master!â Oliver roared furiously, his voice deafening.
Robin was momentarily stunned.
have a master?â
âWho is it? Whoâs your master? Since when do you have a master?â
Frustrated, Oliver rubbed his hair. He said, âItâs Ms. Milly. Itâs a complicated story, and you wouldnât understand. I need to rescue her.â
Robin then recalled seeing a girl in Georgeâs arms earlier, but hadnât paid much attention, as he focused only on saving Oliver.
If it was Milly, it wasnât that surprising.
âWait, how are you going to save her? Do you know who Mr. Tate is? Do you understand his status in Halturia? Forget holding a girl; even if he stood in the street with a nuclear missile, no one would dare question him.â
Oliver shouted back, âI canât let Ms. Milly fall into his hands!â
A single man and woman, in such a chaotic entertainment circle, who knows what could happen?
An Sâclass bounty would be the least of his worries if he was responsible for his masterâs bullying. How would he confront his peers from the Ghost Sect?
Robin was older and wiser. He shook his head at Oliverâs reaction and said calmly, âNot necessarily.â

He explained, âYou werenât there for the shoot, but when I went to the set, I heard Mr. Tate risk his life to save Milly from drowning. For someone of his stature, itâs unlikely heâd personally save someone unless she meant something special to him.â
Oliver didnât get it. He probed, âWhat do you mean?*
He knew his master nearly drowned, but did it matter who saved her?
Robin didnât expect him to understand and calmly analysed, âMy point is, their relationship might not be
as bad as we think.
âFor someone of Mr. Tateâs status, personally saving someone means Milly is important to him. Also, Mr. Tate clearly intended to kill you just now, but Millyâs movement snapped him out of it. This suggests they might already know each other well.
âIf thatâs the case, Milly is likely safe.â
Oliver paused at his explanation. He asked sceptically, âSeriously?â
Robin was confident. He continued, âLogically, Iâd say thereâs a 99% chance..
âAnd regardless of whether Iâm right, if you go now, you wonât even get to see Mr. Tate and might end up. severely beaten.
âThink about it. If you want to go, I wonât stop you.â
Robin wiped the blood from his mouth while his chest was still aching.
He took out his phone to make a call. After that, he left, clutching his chest.
Oliver slumped on the sofa. She felt helpless and rubbed his face in frustration.
He thought for a moment and decided to make a call. Just as he finished dialling, his phone rang first.
Ring! Ring!
Startled, he quickly answered, âHello, Leon?â
Leon seemed to be outside, with the wind howling in the background, making his voice a bit unclear. âYes, itâs me. Are you available? I need to talk to you.â
Oliver recognised the urgency in his tone, indicating something important about the ghost sect. He answered, âYes, itâs just me here. I have something to tell you too.â
Leon knew Oliver well and sensed something was off in his voice.
âYou go first.â
Oliver opened his mouth and said, âWell.â
But as soon as he started, he didnât know how to continue..
The situation was so complicated that he had no idea where to begin.
The m
new sect leader had changed

Or that the new sect leader was filming with him?
Or that the new sect leader had been taken away?
None of these seemed right, and the sect leader had also told him not to reveal her identity.
âSigh! Forget it. I donât know how to explain it. You go first.â

Since he was stammering, Leon didnât push him. He said, âFine. I want to tell you that in a few days, there will be a gala dinner in Adornin held by the prominent families. Officially, itâs a charity event, but theyâll secretly auction off a test subject.â
Oliver didnât get it, and he asked. âA test subject?â
Leonâs voice was cold as he explained, âYes, itâs a living test subject from a rogue scientific lab in Maldonia, created through gene recombination. It has the strength of a beast and the appearance of a human, making it a powerful weapon.â
âSo, are you saying we need to buy it?â
âYes, but this mission wonât be easy. Iâve heard the Shadow Palace will also be there, so we might face them again.
Hearing this name, Oliverâs brows furrowed in annoyance. He asked restlessly, âArenât the Shadow Palace people in Nlirone? Why are they coming to Halturia?â
Leon pursed his lips and said, âMaybe theyâre here for the test subject or just to cause us trouble.â
The Ghost Sect and the Shadow Palace were always at odds, with deepâseated hatred. They fought on sight.
The Shadow Palace would sabotage the Ghost Sectâs business.
The Ghost Sect would intercept the Shadow Palaceâs ships.
In short, neither side had it easy.
