Chapter 93 Mr Tate Will Visits the Set
The commotion on set was so loud and chaotic that even the normally preoccupied Mr. Hawkins couldnât- ignore it.
He stormed over with his script in hand, exuding authority. âWhatâs going on here? Why is everyone gathering around? Is there a monkey show? Has the crew cleaned up the set? Is all the equipment ready? Are the actors in makeup? If none of thatâs done, why are you all gathering around here?â
Since the director had lashed out, those who were watching the show quickly dispersed.
As the crowd cleared, Alan finally saw Oliver, the pinkâhaired guy in the middle. His face darkened and he scolded, âWhat are you doing here? Pack your things and leave!â
Already in a foul mood, Alan couldnât believe Oliver dared to show up before his eyes.
Oliver just grinned. He pretended not to notice the directorâs temper and boldly approached. âMr. Hawkins, Iâm here to act.
âAct?â Alan sneered coldly and mocked, âOur production is too minor to accommodate someone of your caliber. Leave now before I get really angry.â
Oliver acted as if he hadnât heard. He inched closer with a cheeky smile and said, âOh, thereâs plenty of room for me here; Iâm not that impressive. Actually, Mr. Hawkins, you need to hear me out!â
Arms crossed, Alan watched coldly. He wanted to listen to what Oliver had to say.
Then Oliver used up all the acting skills he had and lamented passionately. âMr. Hawkins, you have no idea. Since I was a child, Iâve had a dream of making a globally renowned, cuttingâedge filmâone that would make 180âyearâold elders and eightâmonthâold babies alike clap their hands in approval. But⦠alas! âFate has played a cruel joke on me. Iâve waited over twenty years for a film like this, and just when I thought my dream would never come true, your script appeared out of nowhere, landing right in front of me. At first, I was sceptical, but then I took a look. My God, what a masterpiece! This is a groundbreaking. earthâshattering epic!
âIf I donât act in this film, I wouldnât be doing justice to my upbringing, your mentorship, or the entire industry!
âSo, I have to act on this! I must! I absolutely must! If I donât, Halturiaâs entertainment industry will deteriorate by twenty years. How terrifying would that be? Mr. Hawkins, as a renowned director in Halturia, you wouldnât want that to happen, would you?â
Alan was momentarily speechless.
Well, this guy certainly had a flair for drama.
Has he regressed by twenty years in the entertainment industry? Where did he get such audacity?
Ilâho give him that confidence?
However, on the other hand, if he truly wanted to take on the role, it would be for the best. At least it would save a lot of trouble and relieve much of the media pressure.

mind?â
Oliver waved his hand grandly and promised, âAbsolutely, Mr. Hawkins! To prove my loyalty, Iâll do it for free.
Despite directing his words towards Mr. Hawkins, his gaze remained fixed on Milly, seemingly pledging his loyalty to her.
Alan raised an eyebrow and said, âLet me make it clear, Iâm not replacing Giselle. Donât even think about IL
If Oliver insisted on not acting with Milly, heâd have security throw him out immediately.
Oliver clapped his hands and said excitedly. âAbsolutely, Giselle cannot be replaced. Iâll fight anyone who
tries!â
Alan scrutinised him. He was unsure of his motives but willing to give him another chance. He said, âFine, go and put on the makeup.â
âWill do!â
The assistant director watched Oliver dash off, his pink hair bouncing. He frowned and asked, âMr. Hawkins, are you sure about this?â
Alan responded with a cold grunt and replied, âIâll give him another chance. If he pulls any more stunts, Iâll break his legs myself!â
The assistant director hesitated, mumbling, âBut⦠we just called those available male actors, and some are already on their way. If we backtrack now, it wouldnât look good on us, would it?â
Alan frowned, realising he had forgotten about that.
âForget it. There are still a few minor roles in the script that havenât been cast yet. Ask them if theyâre willing to take on those roles. If they donât, get their contact information, and weâll consider them for the next movie
The assistant director nodded. âAlright, that seemed like the best we could do.â
Just as he was about to leave, he remembered something and hurriedly added, âMr. Hawkins, Mr. Tateâs assistant called. Heâll be visiting the set later today.â
Frowned, Alan didnât immediately understand who he was referring to. He asked, âWho? Which Mr. Tate?â
âWho else could it be? The one from Tate Group, the assistant director clarified.
Alan had finally remembered.
It was the investor who had put in 15 million.
âWhoâs he visiting? We donât have any Tate Group actors in the production team, do we?â
âOf course we do,â the assistant director quickly responded. âDonât you remember? Neal Hanson is one of the actors we asked about. Heâs an artist with Tate Group. Heâs been doing quite well these past few years, so I reckon Mr. Tate is coming to visit him.â

Upon hearing this, Alan realised that Neal was actually an artist for Tate Group.

He usually interacted with the manager and the actors themselves, but rarely through the companies, so he wasnât clear about which company the artists belonged to.
If George was coming to see Neal, they couldnât let him leave.
âCoordinate with Nealâs team. Find out which role theyâre interested in and make adjustments. We need to keep him no matter what.â
The assistant director nodded and agreed, âGot it.â
Meanwhile.
Neal couldnât believe his boss was visiting. He was so overjoyed that he kept asking for confirmation, âReally? Mr. Tate told you so? Heâs coming to see me?â
The assistant director smiled and said, âYes, thatâs what he said.â
Neal clenched his fists in excitement. He would have jumped with joy if it werenât for the people around him.
His boss was finally acknowledging the hard work he had put in. According to rumours, Tate Groupâs top star was transitioning, and his boss visiting him now might mean he was next in line.
He had to seize this opportunity and give it his all!
