"My name is Delwen Dowlin.
And I've been reborn.
In the not-so-distant future, I marry the woman standing next to meâAnna Rivera.
I love her dearly.
I work tirelessly for her, waking early and staying late, just to give her a quality life and fulfill her every wish.
She says she loves me too and even gives birth to a big, healthy baby boy.
I thought I was the luckiest man alive.
But what I never expected was that one day, I would return early from work only to discover this woman in bed with another man.
When I confronted her, she said:
'This is just a misunderstanding.'
'It's not what you thinkâhe's just my male best friend.'
'We were just lying in bed together; nothing happened.'
'It wasn't my ideaâI'm just a weak woman. What could I do?'
'It's just a normal mistake that any girl could make.'
'Don't worry, the child is definitely yours.'
I didn't believe her.
I ignored her pleas and took my two-year-old son for a paternity test.
When the results came back confirming that I was not the biological father, I was enraged.
Yet she kept on making excuses.
'Maybe I ate too much soy sauce while I was pregnant.'
'Maybe the hospital mixed up the babies.'
'The kid kinda looks like youâwhat's the big deal?'
'Does blood relation even matter that much?'
'Stop being so petty.'
'Why do men always care about results? Isn't our love enough?'
I was so furious that I fainted on the spot.
They rushed me to the ICU for emergency treatment.
Even in my semi-conscious state, I overheard my dear wife asking the doctors to stop treatment. Then she ran over to try and unplug my oxygen.
I fought to breathe, forcing my eyes open to call for help.
What I saw made my blood vessels burst.
There she was, arm in arm with another man, discussing how to split my estate.
At that moment, my heart gave out completely. My world went dark, and my life ended.
But just as I thought it was all over, I heard a voice:
'Do you want a second chance at life?'
'I do! I want to be reborn! I want to make her pay!' I screamed.
The next thing I knew, I was backâback in this very mall, three years earlier.
Tears streamed down my face.
The heavens had granted me another chance.
I swore to spend the rest of my life making that woman pay.
'Anna Rivera!!!'"
Delwen's roar echoed through the entire mall, making everyone flinch in terror.
Before anyone could process what was happening, the man who had been standing with Anna Rivera suddenly swung his hand and slapped her across the face.
SMACK.
The slap rang out like thunder, the force behind it undeniable.
Anna's head snapped to the side, her cheek instantly swelling. A burning pain spread across her face as a sharp ringing pierced her ears, the metallic taste of blood filling her mouth.
For a moment, she was stunned, her mind blank. She clutched her cheek, staring at her boyfriend in horror.
The world fell silent. It was as if even the air had frozen in place.
"You filthy woman! I'll kill you!!" Delwen Dowlin snarled.
Still not satisfied, he grabbed Anna by the hair and started slapping her repeatedly.
SMACK.
SMACK.
SMACK.
Each strike was delivered with full force, the sound of flesh meeting flesh like fireworks exploding in the air.
The crowd stood frozen, their mouths agape, not daring to breathe.
"Ahhh!!!"
"Help!!!"
"Stop!!!"
Anna screamed at the top of her lungs as her face swelled to unrecognizable proportions, covered in bright red handprints.
She collapsed to the ground, writhing in pain, trying desperately to shield herself from the onslaught.
But Delwen had a tight grip on her hair, preventing her from escaping. No matter how she twisted and turned, she couldn't break free.
THUD.
A heavy fist collided with her face.
Anna's head snapped back as searing pain radiated from her nose. Blood gushed uncontrollably from her nostrils, soaking her face.
The pain was excruciatingâevery nerve in her nose sending waves of agony straight to her brain. Even breathing felt like torture.
Disoriented and overwhelmed, Anna started to beg for mercy.
"Please, honey, stop! I was wrong! I won't do it again!"
But Delwen was consumed by fury, gripping her hair tighter as he punched and kicked her without restraint.
"You unplugged my oxygen?! I'll kill you for this!!!" he shouted.
Anna lay on the ground like a battered insect, her body convulsing as she sobbed and screamed.
Her teeth were loose, her mouth bloody, and clumps of her hair littered the floor. She was in unimaginable pain.
"Ahhh!!!"
"Help me!!!"
"Stop hitting me!!!"
James watched in stunned silence, momentarily dazed by the sheer ferocity of Delwen's rampage.
It wasn't until a few moments later that he snapped out of it, realizing just how terrifyingly effective the hypnosis skill was.
Quickly, he pulled the equally shocked Amanda and Tailsa aside, quietly retreating into the crowd to watch the chaos unfold from a distance.
The audience was riveted, their eyes glued to the violent spectacle unfolding before them. No one even noticed that James, the original center of attention, had slipped away.
The women who had previously rallied to defend Anna Rivera now cowered in fear, hiding behind their boyfriends and staying silent. None of them dared to step forward.
Some of the male bystanders wanted to intervene, but the sheer ferocity of Delwen's actions made them hesitate.
"This is between them," they muttered to themselves. "It's not our place to get involved."
Meanwhile, a group of security guards finally arrived, rushing to break up the fight.
"Sir, calm down! You'll seriously hurt someone!"
"Let's talk this outâdon't resort to violence!"
"Stop hitting her! This isn't right!"
The middle-aged security guards, strong and experienced, managed to restrain Delwen after some effort.
But even as they held him back, he refused to let go of Anna's hair, struggling to land another blow.
"Let go of me! This doesn't concern you! I'll kill her today!" he bellowed.
With the guards holding him back, Anna finally had a chance to catch her breath. She clutched her face and wailed,
"Delwen! Are you insane?! Why are you hitting me?! What did I do wrong?!"
Delwen's face twisted with rage.
"You know damn well what you did! That time you went to the bar aloneâI knew you weren't up to any good!"
Anna panicked, thinking her lies had been exposed.
"No, I didn't! I just had a few drinksâit's not what you think!"
"Oh? Then what was it?"
"They're my best friends! They were heartbroken after breakupsâI couldn't just leave them like that! They made the first move, not me! I didn't want it to happen!"
The crowd erupted in shock and disbelief.
"Unbelievable!" Delwen spat, finally releasing her hair as the guards pinned him back. He pointed a shaking finger at her and snarled,
"I swear, I'll destroy you. Just wait."
