Chapter 36 Intruders
Irinaâs perspective:
I said goodbye to Emma and Robert and walked towards the school gate. At this moment, I saw a girl in a mini skirt with her thighs exposed get out of the driverâs seat of a sports car and walk towards Ravi. She leaned against Raviâs hood and the two of them chatted. Then, Ravi took out a lighter and lit the cigarette in the girlâs hand.
I felt inexplicably angry, but I didnât know why. They hadnât crossed the line, but I just felt a little angry.
âDo you know the girl?â I asked Daniel.
âNo, I donât.â âShe seems to be very familiar with Ravi.â
âIt must be the first time theyâve seen each other.â
âHow can you be sure?â
âRavi usually only sees this kind of woman once. There wonât be a second time.â Daniel shrugged.
The woman let out a long puff of smoke and got up to walk to her sports car. After taking a few steps, she looked back at Ravi and winked seductively before driving away.
âRavi.â I walked forward and saw Ravi opening his arms to me. I threw myself into his arms and looked up at the handsome man in front of me who had women hitting on him all the time. He kissed me on the lips and then led me to the front passenger seat.
âIâll drive today.â I was suddenly interested. âOkay, Iâll teach you.â Ravi turned around and led me to the driverâs seat, then helped me close the door.
âFirst, you need to fasten your seat belt. This is the accelerator and this is the brake.â
I stepped on the gas pedal. The car didnât move.
âYou have to start the car first, baby,â Ravi said with a smile.
I pressed the switch and the car started. Ravi turned the gear. I stepped on the accelerator and the car suddenly drove out. Fortunately, Daniel, who was outside the car, dodged quickly enough. The car rushed straight to the side of the road. Ravi held the steering wheel and shouted, âBrake!â
Thank God I still remembered where the brakes were despite my panic. I stomped down hard and heard a bang as the car stopped. I wrapped my arms around the steering wheel and didnât dare open my eyes for a long time.
âIrina.â I heard Ravi call my name and opened my eyes. âI forgot to tell you just now. Remember, never close your eyes when youâre driving. Never.â
I nodded fiercely, then unbuckled my seatbelt and got out of the car.
The right front corner of the car hit a tree and created a deep depression. Ravi squatted by the car and examined it carefully.
âIâm sorry. I crashed your favorite car.â I squatted beside Ravi.
âHow did you know itâs my favorite car?â âBecause you usually drive this car the most.â
âYes, this is indeed my favorite car. It was a college gift from my mother.â
âIâm sorry, Ravi.â
âItâs okay, baby. As long as youâre not hurt, no matter how precious an item is, itâs not as precious as you. Now, the person I cherish the most is you.â He tucked my hair behind my ear with his fingers and looked at me gently. âDo you need help?â A womanâs voice came from behind us. I turned around and saw that it was the woman who was smoking with Ravi just now. From afar, I only thought that her figure was top-notch, but up close, I realized that her facial features were gorgeous. âNo, thank you.â I got up and walked to Ravi while sizing up the woman. âAlright then.â She shrugged and glanced at Ravi from the corner of her eye. âGoodbye.â
I watched the woman get into the car and drive away. Although I didnât want to admit it, this woman was really unforgettable. She had a confident aura and was beautiful.
âLetâs go home. Iâll cook as compensation,â I suggested. The driver came to take us home.
I pulled Ravi up the stairs and escorted him to his own room.
âTake a shower and change. Dinner will be ready soon.â I smiled.
Ravi rubbed my hair and walked into the bathroom.
